Book 6: Chapter 5-Pain

Dean pityingly approached the girl when she was no longer with anyone.

She looked up when she felt someone else around. When she saw Dean, a bitter smile appeared on her lips. “Sorry, I really didn’t mean to make your friend angry with me.”

Dean sighed; he didn’t ask anymore and just offered the girl help. “I’ll give you a ride.”

Clara did not refuse the young man’s offer. She can no longer walk alone, and her knees are feeling weak. She seemed to be injured because she no longer had a good job. She had only been on the job for a week, and the salary would have been great, but she was fired immediately.

Dean supported the girl until she got into his car. “Where shall I take you?”

“In the hospital.” Clara was almost whispering. “My mother is confined to the hospital,” she explained to her friend's questioning look.

Dean nodded before starting the car. He feels sorry for the girl and feels that she’s carrying the burden of the world today.
