“What do you need?”

Patricia swallowed her own saliva before answering Dark. “I brought my niece milk, and she doesn’t sleep well if I don’t give her milk.”

Without a word, Dark took the small tray held by Dalia, where the glass with only milk was placed.

“Can I see my niece?” Patricia begged as Dark tried to close the door.

“Don’t bother her anymore, and she’s fast asleep.” Dark still treated the woman coldly.

Patricia sighed sadly and met Dark’s searching gaze. “Cherry is still my niece, and I want to make sure that her health is fine. I don't let her sleep without drinking milk because she wakes up at this time of the night.”

“I’ll make her drink it.”

Annoyed, Patricia remained in the doorway when Dark turned away. She wanted to see if he would actually make the girl drink the milk.
