Ian's POV:

The so-called party now felt like a funeral as we stood in Felix's bedroom. Tamara was resting her head on her lap, looking exhausted from all the crying she had done. We had been waiting for an hour for her to talk, but she decided to say nothing.

"Hey kiddo, how do you feel when you look at Larson?" I asked for the first time, deciding to break the silence.

She raised her head and looked at me seriously.

"Confused. Last year, I thought nothing of him. He was just my friend, and he treated me the same way. But today, I couldn't help but notice something different. He looks very attractive, and my heart fluttered when I saw him. I wanted to run into his arms and kiss him. I just wanted to be next to him. I wanted him...

"That's enough!" Felix said coldly, cutting her off.

"Ian, may I have a word with you in my office?" she asked, then moved Tamara aside.

"Yes, sure," I answered simply.

"Amelia, stay with her. I won't take long," she said, then stood up from the bed
