Ian's POV: The so-called party now felt like a funeral as we stood in Felix's bedroom. Tamara was resting her head on her lap, looking exhausted from all the crying she had done. We had been waiting for an hour for her to talk, but she decided to say nothing. "Hey kiddo, how do you feel when you look at Larson?" I asked for the first time, deciding to break the silence. She raised her head and looked at me seriously. "Confused. Last year, I thought nothing of him. He was just my friend, and he treated me the same way. But today, I couldn't help but notice something different. He looks very attractive, and my heart fluttered when I saw him. I wanted to run into his arms and kiss him. I just wanted to be next to him. I wanted him... "That's enough!" Felix said coldly, cutting her off. "Ian, may I have a word with you in my office?" she asked, then moved Tamara aside. "Yes, sure," I answered simply. "Amelia, stay with her. I won't take long," she said, then stood up from the bed
Roxanne's POV: I grabbed a shirt out of the wardrobe and put it on, knowing very well it was my mate's shirt from the amazing scent it had. After he walked out, I went to take a bath to remove the drops of blood that had splattered all over my body. Now that I was done cleaning myself up, I was thinking of a way to run away. Looking out the window, I could see that the sun was setting and soon it would be nightfall. I was very concerned about my parents; they were obviously starting to worry. I just hoped they wouldn't try to follow me in any way, no matter what. When the door opened, I tensed and stayed still, not wanting to turn around. The door closed and my mate's strong scent invaded my nose. His scent was very different from most scents I had ever inhaled. It was like muddy rain mixed with a little whiskey, vanilla, and strawberry. It was supposed to make me feel nauseated, knowing how much I hated strawberry, vanilla, and whiskey. Yet it made me feel so calm and relaxed.
Garren's POV: I furiously lifted the lady in my arms and walked back to the castle. As I walked past the houses, I could feel other vampires' eyes on me and hear their annoying whispers. It was good for them that they knew their place and how to act. As it was, I was very upset and wanted no one to talk to me. I walked into my castle and went straight to my bedroom, putting her on the bed with a low sigh. I looked at her dirty, wet face and then inhaled the scent of her blood, which made my mouth water. I moved my thumb to wipe a trail of blood on her jaw when she flinched. Despite being unconscious, she was still responsive to my touch. She was my enemy's daughter, whom I planned to use easily. But why was I now feeling like this? It pained me when I raised my hand to her, and I felt like my heart was being stabbed when she cried out to her parents. I moved to my desk and touched my bell for a second. When a knock came through, I cleared my throat. "Come in, Thelma," I answ
Ian's POV: "That kid is not my mate. How many times do I have to say this, Dad? We've been at it for hours! It's getting on my nerves," Larson said loudly in the living room. "I guess he is telling the truth," Blade whispered. I was getting a headache from going back and forth over something we could have resolved in a few minutes. The sun had already set, yet we were still trying to figure out if he was telling the truth or not. "There is only one way to solve this and know the truth," I said, looking at Larson seriously. "Nephew, you can either do it now, or I can make your wolf do it for you," I said loudly. He looked at me, terrified, knowing full well that I wasn't bluffing. "Has it come to that, Uncle Ian?" he asked in a low tone. "Of course it has," I answered firmly. He swallowed hard, then moved and sat down on the couch. "She's m...m," he murmured under his breath, swallowing his words. "You are pissing me off," I warned him. "She's my mate," he whispered, then l
Roxanne's POV: I woke up with a bad headache and blinked a few times before sitting upright in bed. A lady in a long black dress and cloak moved closer and stood next to me as I prepared myself for her attack. "Hi, my name is Thelma. I'm Master Garren's servant, sired by his father. I was ordered to look after you until you feel better," she said as I swallowed hard, trying to ignore the pain in my mouth. "Where is that fucking son of a bitch?" I asked seriously, causing her eyes to widen in shock. "Pardon?" she asked, as if asking me to repeat my sentence. "You heard me. Where is that fucking son of a bitch you serve?" I asked angrily. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and released it. No matter how I looked at her, she seemed very upset. "Miss, please refrain from calling my master a foul name," she said, as I laughed mockingly. "Are you going to summon that damn bastard or not!?" I yelled at the top of my voice, my wolf instincts pulling through as I growled loudly
Ian's POV: I was pacing back and forth in my bedroom, constantly checking my phone. Amelia sat on our bed in her nightgown, wearing a concerned expression. It was already past midnight, and Roxanne was nowhere to be seen. After talking to Kyle, I became concerned about her well-being. I suggested to Amelia that we should go back home to see if she had already arrived. Together, we said our goodbyes, but Kyle decided to stay behind. Although we weren't happy about it, we let him be and made our way back to our pack. Unfortunately, when we arrived, Roxanne was still nowhere to be found. When we called Felix to check if she had returned after we left, she informed us that Roxanne was still not around. I felt anxious and worried about her disappearance. "My love, do you think she was offended by what happened with Larson?" I asked seriously. I knew that she had a crush on him, despite pretending otherwise. Seeing him mated to another girl must have made her sad. "It's very possibl
Garren's POV: "So, is the day decided on?" I asked Bianca calmly on my phone. For hours, we went back and forth talking on the phone. I felt like she was hiding something important from me and deliberately diverting me from finding out. "Yes, the council elders will see you in two weeks. Right now, they have a few things to handle," she answered as I groaned in frustration. Why two weeks?. Why not tomorrow?. My lycan was quickly becoming attached to our mate. I was still in shock over how I had lost control and kissed her. At first, it was just to make fun of her, but then I lost my composure and, in just a second, I wanted to feel her skin against mine and embrace her desperately. It was partially my lycan's doing, but the other half was all me. I wanted her far away from me, and I hoped the council elders would desperately want to pass judgment on her. What was going to happen to me in the next two weeks? I had no idea, but thinking about it only made me nervous. As it was
Roxanne's POV: I was woken up by a cold breeze that made me shiver and blink a few times before turning and facing the other side. I let out a terrified scream and moved backwards, quickly sitting upright when I came face to face with my mate. He sighed, then turned, facing his back towards me. My heart was beating rapidly as everything dawned on me that I was in another territory and not in my bedroom. I slowly moved to the edge of the bed while looking at him, but stopped when he spoke up. "If you try running away this time, I will kill you," he whispered softly. I glared at him, then stood up slowly. His words were very annoying. I wasn't going to try and run away again, at least not now. I was going to find a way out, whether he wanted it or not. I looked at the landline phone with a frown when it rang, and instantly the ringing reminded me of my cell phone. What if Dad was calling on the landline phone since my cell phone was misplaced? I quickly moved to grab it when
