Chapter 24

Roxanne's POV:

I looked out the window with a low sigh as Garren drove in silence.

I wrote the letter that I left for Thelma to drop off, although I had my doubts if she would actually do it.

Everything felt so unreal and rushed, but the decision was already made and there was no going back. I wanted to be with my mate.

"It may be a test," my wolf whispered.

"I know," I silently answered.

Test or not, I didn't care.

The plan was simple: all I had to do was make him fall in love with me as soon as possible. Then I was going to convince him to go back with me to my pack. There, we would explain everything to my parents and hopefully stay for a little bit before finding our own place.

I looked at my mate's free hand, which was on his thigh, then slowly moved mine and pressed it against his.

"I'm driving," he said coldly without looking at me.

"I know," I answered without taking my hand away from his.

It was no secret that he was extremely wealthy. From his clothes to his mansi
