EVANORA'S POV

I was ready.

Ready to finally end it all. Ready to bid both my feelings and Blade a permanent goodbye and ready to start a new life without him.

It wasn't going to be easy, I knew that. I was going to be needing a lot of strength- both physically and mentally and I'd spent the previous night getting ready for that.

After crying for an unusually long period the previous night, I wiped my tears and got to consoling and giving myself about a hundred reasons I needed to end things with him. By the time I drifted into sleep, I knew I had successfully been able to convince myself to let him go.

I ate double my normal portion during breakfast and even my dad noticed. He asked about my well-being and seeing I was in the mood to eat a lot, he quickly joked and concluded I was better after seeing food.

He didn't push further to ask me what happened the previous day and I was ever grateful for that. Though I was preparing myself to be okay and strong, I knew all it was going to tak

EVANORA'S POV"Are you sleeping?"Shaking my head, I snuggled closer to Blade and had him wrap his arms around me tighter.I was curled up on his lap, head rested on his chest and the only audible sound between us came from each other's heartbeat. After all my protests with him, I was tired and just surrendered myself in his arms. "Are you sure?" He asked again."I'm not, Blade," I replied to him with a very light chuckle. It was understandable though. We had been in that position for close to thirty minutes and neither of us uttered a single word, just enjoying the comfort of each other's arms. "Your arms are comfy. That's all.""Alright then," he placed a kiss on my forehead as he replied to me. "These arms are all yours so feel free."I smiled then raised my head to look him directly in the eye. He met my gaze, titled his head, and smiled at me in return. "What? Aren't my arms comfy anymore?""They are," I replied, wiggling myself out of his embrace. I gave him another smile and c

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   TIME

BLADE'S POVI had changed and I knew it myself. Seeing Evanora every night had become the highlight of my day and I spent the rest of the days, counting down to the moment. I was mainly in a good mood as only got cranky when my time to go meet Eva was delayed. That morning was no different as I woke up feeling refreshed from Evanora's long embrace from the night before. I could still smell her around me, feel her gentle touch, and taste her lips so it only made sense that I was in another extremely good mood.I noticed my mother's absence during breakfast and honestly, I wasn't bothered. Getting on each other's nerves had become the only thing we did nowadays so it was better if we stayed out of each other's ways as much as we could.I headed to my office immediately after breakfast. Going out late every night and returning even later had its own disadvantage and it awfully included me getting more work to do during the day.I immediately got to work on getting there. I began going t

EVANORA'S POVMy day started on a very exciting note.I was having my breakfast and preparing to go over to Matthew's when I caught a familiar exciting glint in my dad's eyes."You seem excited," I commented and he immediately nodded in response. "Ah, I'm guessing something good happened. What is it? Tell me.""Of course, I will, calm down," he laughed lightly. "I don't really have a choice but to.""So what is it?""You're going to be having your dress fitting today," he said, my heart immediately skipping a beat. "You chose a dress for your coronation alongside your preferred decorations, remember? The seamstress would be coming in today to have you check it out.""Really?" I felt a spark of excitement as I let out. "Oh my God, it's so fast.""Fast?" He knitted his eyebrows. "Don't you want to…""No, it's not that," I quickly waved my hands. "I am excited. What I meant is I wasn't expecting the dress to come so soon.""Of course it would," he replied with a smile. "You're the prince

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   DISAPPOINTED

EVANORA'S POVI rolled in bed from my afternoon nap, my eyes immediately catching the now familiar glint of my necklace.I literally had nothing to do, because my dad had given me a whole day to rest without training. I wasn't complaining though. It was amazing to have a whole day to myself without having to train. After I was done getting my dress fitted, I simply headed back to my room and took a nap.Tired from my unusual nap, I got up and headed out of my room. I was getting bored and tired of having nothing significant to do. After thinking for a while, I headed to the training room to meet Matthew."Princess Evanora?" He was totally surprised to see me. "I wasn't expecting you here. You were asked to take the day off, right?""Yes, I was," I grunted out as I sat next to him on the floor. "I'm just currently bored to death.""Oh," he stared at me, suspiciously. "So you want to train now?""Nope," I shook my head. "I just came here to, you know, hang out."He stared at me even mor

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   THE WITCH

EVANORA'S POVIt was no news that Blade lived in my head rent-free but after the previous night, I was sure he needed to start getting charged. And really high at that.I couldn't bring myself to concentrate on anything for longer than a few seconds without my mind wandering back to thoughts about Blade. I was curious, anxious, and worried about whatever his reason for not showing up the previous night was.He couldn't have found out the truth about me, could he? He wasn't giving me the silent treatment as punishment for lying to him for so long, was he? Quickly, I brushed those thoughts away. That couldn't have happened. It just couldn't.I stopped in my tracks as another wave of thoughts rushed through me. What if he was sick? What if he on his way to see me was attacked and was sick and dying on his bed at the moment?"No, no," I muttered to myself. That was just as impossible. He was the Alpha and a strong one at that. I'd witnessed him get into attack mode once and was sure it w

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   REVEALING

EVANORA'S POV I hated how going out to see Blade suddenly felt like a gamble. For some reason, he had managed to still stay in my mind throughout the whole day but what lurked in my mind alongside him were the witch's words. You should be careful of your actions, Princess Evanora because if you're not careful, they might cost you lives. Her words resonated in my head and brought along a new wave of confusion every time. Sure, she was a witch but did that involve her being able to go through people's thoughts? It scared me, even more, to think she probably knew what was going on in my life and could even foretell my actions could cost me lives. Lives? Whose? How?My mind was at war. One minute I was thinking about Blade and the other, I was thinking about what she possibly could have meant. I managed to go through the rest of the training with my thoughts and immediately headed to my room. Matthew was obviously not satisfied with my performance and that didn't bother me. I had a l

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   THE TRUTH

EVANORA'S POVI froze.I remained in the same position for close to a minute, unable to move or turn to face Blade. I was busted. My cover was all blown.I could barely bring myself to imagine the look on his face. Just the thought terrified me. My greatest fear had finally come to pass and in the worst way ever.I took a very deep exhale and slowly, turned to face him. I sent my gaze to the floor as I turned, taking almost another minute to raise it to meet his eyes.He looked confused as he stared directly at me. His eyebrows were knitted, his nose scrunched and his lips pursed as he tilted his head like he was trying to process everything that happened barely five minutes ago."E-Evanora?" He said in a stammer and I immediately cursed underneath my breath. I'd rarely seen him stammer or have words come out of his mouth laced with such fear and uncertainty. I had managed to bring out that part of him and I immediately hated myself for it. "What just happened?""I can explain, I pro

EVANORA'S POVIt felt like I was having my whole world crash right in front of me.I crouched in the same spot Blade left me, tears rolling down my cheeks uncontrollably. Not caring how late it was or if anyone around could hear me, I cried my eyes out.No matter how hard I thought about it I had no one but myself to blame. I was a liar. A cheat and I deserved every single harsh word that left Blade's mouth.I wrapped my arms around myself, having memories that could now be referred to as my past flood my mind. Memories of the good times I spent with Blade. Memories of the times he still trusted and wanted everything to do with me.I felt weak. Probably from crying way too much but I felt exhausted and it took everything in me to not fall back on the ground as I tried to get up. Luckily, I was able to get on my feet on my first attempt. Three weeks later… “Evanora, would you at least have breakfast before you leave?” “For the hundredth time, dad, I can’t,” I replied my dad with a sigh. “I’ve spent a whole week here already. I need to return home.” Home. I smiled as the words escaped my lips. I could finally call Blade’s pack my home. I could finally proudly call myself a member of their pack. Not just as a regular member but as the Luna. I spent the past few weeks after our marriage shuffling between his pack and our coven. It was just as hectic as we imagined as I was constantly needed as Luna and at the same time, the vampire princess. The past week was the most hectic as I had to spend the whole week at our coven. There were tons of events I had to attend, and tons of matters to address and they just kept on increasing, everyone forgetting I was to be on my honeymoon after getting married in not the smoothest manner to the love of my life. It was finally going to pause though as after spending a week alone

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   GETTING IT DONE WITH

BLADE’S POVWe literally ran back to the palace, the same thing evidently on both of our minds. Evanora. My Evanora. I couldn’t afford to lose her. I just couldn’t. Silently praying as I ran, I recalled the arrow hitting her right by her heart. Fear gripped me at the thought of her not being fine. She needed to stay strong. I needed her to. My breathing became heavier as I ran. Oddly, the palace seemed to be longer as after what seemed to be hours of running, we still hadn’t gotten there. After seeming like forever, we finally arrived at the palace. Side by side, we rushed towards the garden the ceremony was being held. Tearing through the crowd as we got there, we rushed towards the podium to see Evanora was no longer there. “Where’s she?!” I and the king asked in unison, the fear and worry evident in our voices. “Where is she?” “She’s in one of the tents with the witch.” Mumbling our thanks, we rushed towards the tent pointed at. Taking the lead, I ran and on getting to the

BLADE’S POV“Evanora!” My yell was the loudest it had ever been as I rushed towards her, watching her slump onto the ground. No, no. I shook my head. It couldn’t be happening. I felt my whole world shatter to the ground as she slumped in front of me. We were about to get married. We were about to go through the last ritual so it made no sense she was suddenly shot by an arrow.“Evanora,” I cried out to her, holding her close to me. I stared at her in horror, watching blood pour off her chest. Whoever shot her must have practiced well enough as the arrow hit her right by her heart. “No, Evanora. Please stay with me.”The whole crowd was thrown into a frenzy. It was too terrifying to be true. Not only had someone dared to shoot the princess, but they had also dared to do it at t her wedding. Holding her close to me, I was suddenly consumed by rage. How dare whoever it was trying to hurt her? Swearing on my life, I vowed silently to find whoever it was and have him or have to feel th

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   BAD LUCK

EVANORA’S POV A smile appeared on my face as I stared at my reflection in the mirror. It was finally the day. The day I spent the past week counting down to. The day I’d been anticipating ever since I realized I was in love with Blade. It was finally my wedding day I was dressed in a white gown, a bouquet of red roses in my hands. My hair was styled prettily, my makeup was done perfectly and I knew I looked beautiful. I could only imagine how dashing Blade was going to look in the suit we had chosen together, the image of both of us standing close to each other playing in my mind and having my smile even wider. The past few days had been hectic with literally the whole coven preparing for my wedding alongside me. Wolves from Blade’s pack had also freely entered our coven and vice versa, everyone is happy. My dad for one seemed the happiest. He actively took part in the preparations for the wedding as he was always busy around. A lot had to be done and a lot had to be changed too a

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   TO-DO LIST

EVANORA’S POV“You have met my Beta once already, right??” I nodded as me and Blade walked out of his office to head to his home. Both excited with the way things were finally turning out, he was about to introduce me to everyone all over again. “Yeah,” I nodded to him. “Why?” “I don’t care,” he playfully replied. “I’m going to introduce you to him all over again. Officially, this time. As my Luna.”I blushed as I had been doing every single time he called me his Luna. The title still felt foreign to me and extremely exciting. “Alright.” Hands intertwined, we climbed down the stairs to step into a wide hall. Taking a couple of steps more, we walked into a corridor and after more walking; we were in front of a room.“Is this his room?” I got the answer to my question as he placed a knock on his door, calling out to him as he did. Initially, all we got in response was silence but after a while of more knocking, the door was finally open.“Were you asleep?” Compared to Blade’s smi

BLADE’S POV“Are you sure you’re really fine?”“For the millionth time, Evanora,” I laughed lightly, pulling her close to me to place a kiss on her forehead. “Yes, I am.”She shut her eyes and then let out a sigh. I could tell she was still worried about me not healing fully before heading back to my pack. I was fine though and as much as I wanted to do nothing but lay in her arms under the guise of taking my time to heal, I knew I needed to return to my pack.I could only imagine the frenzy the whole pack must have been thrown in without me being around. They must have been so confused and lost on what to do. After all, their Alpha was suddenly in captivity. It must have been hard for them all, especially Adam. I could only imagine how worried he was going to know there was almost nothing he could do. With me being in captivity, they couldn’t risk waging war against them. Especially since I voluntarily gave in.Thus, I was left with no choice but to return home to inform them I was w

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   A GLIMPSE

EVANORA’S POV The past two days went by very quickly with me barely leaving Blade’s side throughout. After the whole very dramatic event ended with Blade accepting to get us married in a week, he slumped and finally collapsed. It was only natural for it to happen, given how much torture he had been under for the past week alongside the insane amount of wolf's bane that was injected into his system. He was immediately moved to the infirmary, and the best doctor around began to treat him. Though he had been responding to all the treatment he was receiving, he had spent the past two days in bed, taking his time to heal while I did nothing but watch him closely. I was overjoyed. Despite him being unwell and unable to celebrate with me, I still felt extremely happy. It was all over. We were finally going to be able to stay together. A light blush crept towards my cheek as I recalled how he accepted to get us married. It felt like a dream. I was finally going to be getting married to

  • THE ALPHA'S VAMPIRE MATE   CHANTS

EVANORA’S POV The chants from the crowd were getting louder with every passing second, my tears not stopping as they freely rolled down my cheeks. My dad’s guards were frozen, conflicted on what to do considering how torn the crowd had quickly become. Desperately, I turned my head in my dad’s direction to look at him. His eyes looked just as desperate as mine, containing an element of fear in them. Of course, he was to be scared. He could tell I wasn’t joking and knew even his slightest actions could cause him to lose his only child at that moment. “Please,” I whispered to him. “Please, dad.” We locked gazes for a while, both doing nothing but pleading with our eyes. I felt hopeless and after a couple more seconds of my dad staring, he looked away. “Silence!” At his words, the bubbling crowd became silent, everyone immediately shifting their attention toward him. Sparing me another glance, he walked towards the podium, looked at the crowd, and took a deep exhale. My heartbeat
