Sebastian's POV Asher waited for all three kids to be safely inside the school premises before he got into his white SUV. Not ready to leave because my mission was not yet accomplished, I ducked my head, turning the opposite way so Asher wouldn't get a glimpse of me. Sure that he was gone, I waited for about ten minutes for the benefit of the doubt. Now a hundred percent certain, I got out of the car and walked towards the school gate. "Hello, good morning sir." The gatekeeper greeted me once he saw me. "Do you want to come in?""Not yet." I dismissed him subtly. "Is there anything I can help you with?" He tried to be cordial. "I just want to know when school dismisses." I make my intention clear. "What time exactly?" I elaborate. "Oh... 2 PM." He says ignorantly. "But if your child is enrolled in the private classes, it's till 4 PM." He finishes. How was I going to know if the kids were having private classes? I puffed. "Uhm ... The triplets, when do they normally close?" I
Jasmine's POV "Babe, I made your favorite," I got closer to Asher, trying to gain his attention. After the incident two days ago and how he walked away furiously, he didn't bother looking my way for the second time. It was already becoming frustrating, and I wished I had consulted him first. Frankly, I was sorry, but he wouldn't see it, not when he has refused to give me a listening ear. "Babe..." I reached out to touch his shoulder, but he flinched. "Babe?" I grimaced. "What is it?" He shrugged without even sparing me a glance. Again, I got closer and he flinched for the second time, adjusting a bit farther from my reach. I stomped my feet on the ground like a toddler, whining annoyingly. "What is it?" He asked in his recently nonchalant way. "Why don't you want me to touch you?" I demanded. "Because I'm busy." He pointed at the laptop in front of him, even though we both knew it wasn't true. "And I'm trying to tell you something," I argued baselessly. "And can't it be sai
Jasmine's POV "What?!" I gasped, grabbing all three kids into my arms and away from the gifts. "He asked us to take it...""I told you to never accept gifts from strangers." I scolded them abruptly. "We didn't accept it, but he dropped it with us." Emily defended herself. "Where is your teacher?" I looked around, not seeing any, it wasn't their fault either, I was almost thirty minutes late. "She wasn't here when he returned," Ethan spoke up for all three of them. "Leave those damn gifts and let's go home." I tried to not scream at them, using the cuss word regardless. Terrified, they hurried out of the classroom, with their backpack and started for my car. Sebastian?! I couldn't shake the angry and disgusting feeling from my head. What the fuck was he doing with them? Was he trying to get back at me? Because there was no way in hell he knew about my long-kept secret. The only persons who were aware aside from Asher and myself were Liam and Rylee, and they would never do some
Jasmine's POV Asher opened the door, and the way the kids usually greeted changed, partly because they were scared their father would scold them even more, or because I had yelled at them so much. All through the journey, I never soared a moment to scold them and show my distaste. "Kids?" He called out to them, with his arms wide open."Dad." They whispered, their voice barely audible as they went in for the hug, not like they had a choice. "What's the matter?" He looked from them to me and back at them, tilting their moody faces up so they could meet his gaze. "Mr...""To your room," I ordered Emily with her smart mouth. "Your dad and I need to be alone," I added, so it wouldn't seem rude. "Yes, mum." They groaned and began to leave with a heavy face. "Make sure to put your uniform in the washing machine, bathe, and come down for lunch," I yelled after them. "Not like you will be needing the uniforms again." I sighed. "Babe?" Asher called out, already tired of being kept in s
Jasmine's POV I flipped the last of the pancakes and set it on the edge of a flat plate. Taking out slices of bread, I kept roughly four each on the three plates. "Hey, babies!" I called out to all three of them. "Food is ready." I alerted cheerfully. It was more than a week since Sebastian visited their school. Asher and I had gone around the city in search of a more secure school. When we finally settled for one after fishing out five, we didn't hesitate to tell the school head and security of the problem we were avoiding. They had assured us of top security for our kids, which Asher gladly splashed a few extra dollars for assurance. "You all look so cute in your new uniform." I teased them, adjusting the necktie of Ezra and Ethan, and Emily's collars one by one. They grumbled, not happy with the whole change of school thing. Last night, I had taken the pain to explicitly explain the reason for all of the changes to them, but they were not having it, especially Ezra who alread
Jasmine's POV 'SEBASTIAN'My hands were visibly shaky and for a moment, I froze on the spot. When I regained myself, the rider was gone, leaving me with a brown case of nightmare. There was no way I was going to bring that into my home. Unsure of my next reaction, I simply glared at the nasty name over and over again. I yelped on hearing Asher's voice. "Babe?" Asher called, noticing I was spending so much time than necessary at the gate. "A minute." I got thrown into a state of frenzy, spiraling in circles, shuffling between the idea of trashing it or showing him. I haven't even read the content of the letter, but I also didn't need a seer to know Sebastian was of no good... He was never of any good."Is everything okay out there?" He demanded.I mopped, almost shedding tears as his footsteps got louder. "Calm down, Jasmine." I tried to calm my nerves and practiced the breathing exercise. In and out, I inflated and deflated my lungs. For all it was worth, I had no reason to be s
Jasmine's POV "Kids, go upstairs and change," I told the kids who were lined up, waiting for their dad or me to take them to school. They must have finished their breakfast or gotten rid of it in our absence and lined up like they didn't commit another mischief. "Something came up." I tried to explain to them. Asher who was still seated on the step, adjusted a bit, so they wouldn't get a glimpse of his angry and teary face. He wiped his face with the back of his palms swiftly before turning to face them. "I'm so sorry we won't be able to take you today and maybe this week..." "What?!" They gasped. I bet they didn't wish to be away from school for a whole week even if they didn't like their new school. Asher looked at me, to be sure if he should tell them. I didn't have any problem with it, they were grown enough to know what was happening. We'd need them to also be on alert. I shrugged, indicating my support for it. "Mr. Sebastian, the man that keeps harassing you is on the lo
Jasmine's POV "Uhm..." I stuttered, wishing he wouldn't ask for it. If only I hadn't crossed this man years ago. His life would have been better off without me... No chaos, tragedy, or anything bad. Locking the screen, I resumed petting him, trying to act all cool like it never happened. Just then, my phone buzzed and this time, it continued. I guess a call was in, and it would be people trying to suck out more news from me. I looked at the screen, to see the caller was Rylee. She must have seen the news. If I didn't pick, she would be on her way here. Just as I was about to answer the call, it ended. "Babe, talk to me," Asher demanded. "What's the problem?" He wasn't backing down soon. "It's Sebastian and the whole feud." I bluffed. "Is he bothering you?" He asked keenly. "Tell him we will see in court and block him." He advised, angry at Sebastian for disturbing me when he asked for all this, if only he knew it was a whole lot different. "He took it to the media... The news
