Chapter 4: MEETING THE GAMMA FROM AN UNINVITED PACK

Crystal's pov

Well that was fun. You know that feeling you get when you best someone? I just felt it and it felt good.

Well now what school is closed for a while and I can't shift into my wolf cause I bet there guards in the forest. And they'll try to capture me and take me to their alpha of who I plan on not meeting.

I guess I can check this place out. Or atleast find a descent place to relax from apart from the mall. Maybe a clearing in the forest where I can be training from, atleast until the day I leave this place. But for now to the Starbucks.

Outside Starbucks

Now that's a lunch I won't forget. Time to head home Momma needs a nap. Then all of a sudden I smelt the most delicious and mouth watering sent. It smelt like The forest in the early morning fresh from raining.

Mum has told me all about mates. You smell an amazing scent and then you see each other and then the mate bond comes making you fall stupidly in love with your mate. So much that you can't stand being away from each other.

But I'm not ready to be bound to someone for the rest of my life. And so, I do the only thing I can do.... run home and not look back.

Chris' pov

Work at the pack has been getting more and more stressful. So I decided to go for a run. I let Seth take full control while I try and figure out who the hell Crystal Swan is. I finally took control and realised that we where right behind Starbucks. That's when I smelt the most delicious and mouth watering scent. It smelt like chocolate custard fresh from being cooked.

Mate.

I quickly shifted back and looked for some clothes in the trees. I ran quickly to where the scent was but once I was there she wasn't.

I don't get it. She was right here a few moments ago. Why would she runaway from me? I've waited for her for a long time and now that I have She's not with me.

'Alpha' one of my guards was talking to me through the pack link.

'What?!'

'Xander knows something about the Crystal girl.'

'Am on my way' soon, I'll find you my mate.

At the pack house

"Xander, what do you know about Crystal?"

"Well she's the niece to the royal doctor. She's 18, turning 19 soon. Bossy bitch and she got guts. She tall, hot and she got this power emitting from...." We are not getting anywhere with this. I was about to tell him to stop talking until he said...

".....oh and she's a gamma to be from the black moon pack."

"Did you just say that I have a gamma from another pack on my territory?" I made a low yet dangerous growl that made everyone in the room bow their heads in submission. "Tell them that we are having dinner tomorrow night with them to 'welcome' our visitor. And I'm not taking a refusal for my request."

And with that I dismissed everyone. Well everyone except my beta. To think for once he'd listen to me. Michael Anderson is the strongest beta in the whole lot Arizona. Specialises in taekwondo. He also specialises in annoying me. Non the less is the best beta one can have.

"What do you need Michael?"

"Just wondering, what will you do to her?"

"Obviously get answers out of her one way or another."

"Ok now for the real reason I stayed behind, what happened before you got back? You are more stressed than usual."

Shit

"Nothing."

"Bullshit."

"What?"

"What happened?"

"Fine, I found my mate but didn't find her.... it's complicated."

"How can you find but not find someone?"

Sigh

"I sensed her but when I went to look for her...... she was gone. I don't know it's just complicated."

Crystal's pov

After I reached home safely knowing my mate hasn't seen me yet, I went to have to have a celebratory snack. I know what you thinking, ' isn't this girl from having star bucks' well people I love eating....a lot so let me eat.

Later on everyone was home we had dinner and then some guy came knocking on the door and gave my aunt a letter. Weird.

"What's that?" Greg asked.

Jessi opened it up, "well that's new." "What is?" Brandon asked getting and reading the letter out loud.

"Mr Brandon

You and your family have been invited for a small dinner tomorrow. Everyone is expected to come and that includes the she-wolf you are currently staying with.

Come formal and don't be late. You'll be required to be there by 12 o'clock.

He will be expecting you. Goodnight.

Alpha of the black mist pack.

Everyone looked at me.

"What?" "Did you do anything wrong today?"

"Not that I know of. School was cancelled, I went to Starbucks then came home. Apart from that nothing else. I guess they just realised that there is an unknown she-wolf in the pack."

"Maybe." Jessi thought. "Well I heard about your school so it's closed for a while, that means shopping tomorrow morning for an outfit." She said excitedly.

Yay. (Note the sarcasm.)

Morning

Shopping, the other thing that a girl is attracted to. I on the other hand don't like it.

We left the house at 7 am and three hours just looking for a 'perfect' dress. Another hour looking for heels. Then we finally went home. But that's when my aunt started panicking. She told me to take a bath. Imagine that. I told her I took one in the morning and she was like she didn't care. So this is me sleeping in the bubble bath. So relaxing.

Then my aunt came banging on my door. I came out, dried myself then went out. She handed over my dress and told me to put it on the bed so she could do my makeup. I then wore my new dress and heels.

My dress was a midnight shed blue with a sweetheart neckline and it was off shoulder. It had a long slit at the front. My heels were a nude color that complimented my skin.

I feel like girls should be getting paid for what they do to look good. I mean look at me.

Anyways I was being called down stairs, so I grabbed my phone and my purse and went downstairs. Once I was there everyone was complimenting me.

"Damn girl, you look hot." Greg said while checking me out. "Are sure we're cousins?" I just laughed at his joke and said "tell me something I don't know. And yes we're." With that we got in car and drove off to meet Alpha Chris.

At the alpha's house

Ok I know that the alpha practically gets the biggest house but this house is insanely huge. It's 3 times the size of my previous alpha's house.

I could feel my wolf pace around in my head. And when I ask her what's wrong she doesn't answer. So I'll take it as adjusting to the new surrounding.

We were welcomed in by a maid and led to main dinning room were we will meet the alpha from.

While everyone else was asking questions, I was too busy admiring the decor. I realised that the alpha prefers bold colors like black grey and white. And according to the things he is more into the comfy office kinda set up. It's simple but relaxing. And the windows in the leaving room are a floor to ceiling type giving way to beautiful scenery outside. I'll admit he does have test.

Before we reached the dinning we came across James. He froze in his steps and started checking me out. When I passed him I said, "take a picture, it'll last longer." And with that said he growled at me. I just smiled while entering the room. I was too busy thinking of my victory that I didn't notice everyone looking at me.

"What?"

And that's when it hit me the smell of the forest early in the morning with a hint of rain. I looked up and my eyes locked with the one and only Alpha Chris. Then he said, (more like growled) that word I've been trying to avoid.

"Mate."

And before I could react I was engulfed in a hug with his head at the crock of my neck. Inhaling my sent. "Mine. Only mine."

And just like that dinner was cancelled after everyone ate. He wouldn't let me go. In fact I was on his lap the entire time. Oh the embarrassment.

And my day ended, with me being hugged in my mate's arms with no room to breathe fresh air but his sent. Heck I couldn't even move. When he wakes up we're having 'the talk' .
