CHAPTER SIXTY EIGHT.

Carter's POV.

I stood in a daze for a minute when she said she needed a separate room. Was she for real right now?

I thought everything was fine, but she ate and told me she wanted a separate room. How do I make her see that I was truly sorry for everything?

I was not myself. I regret everything I ever did to her. I was such an idiot for doing that to her. She keeps talking about the encounter with tigers. How do I remedy that?

From what I could clearly see, she was not going to forgive me any time soon.

I think I had to take this one step at a time and not force her into doing what her mind has denied her from doing.

If I really wanted this to work, then I needed to be patient with her.

She tried to push my hands away from hers, but I held them tight.

"Let go of me, Carter. You can't just treat me badly and then out of nowhere want me to forget everything and forgive you. It doesn't work that way."

She separated her head from mind and pushed me backwards.
