DIMITRI'S POV

"It is snowing like a motherfucker out there," the mutt mumbled against the window. I watched as he used the palm of his hand and wiped the mist from the glass. With my hands folded behind my back, I walked up and stood beside him, shoulder to shoulder. I watched as the blizzard left its mark on the land outside.

It was still noon-time, but the sky above was dark and the clouds were thick and black, casting an even darker shadow over the fields and beyond. "Yes, it is. I must say this blizzard is even worse than what the human from the telly had promised." I continued to watch thick white snowflakes being battered as they whirled around in the hurricane-force winds. "Blizzard hardly seems an adequate enough word for what the world outside has become," I ridiculed.

The mutt turned to look at me, "Can you not talk like that. You sound so fucking old," he complained.

"But I am old, young mutt. I am over a century years old," I deadpanned. I still had my eyes on the storm o

I waited patiently for the mutt to answer. He sighed and shuffled in his spot before he answered. "Very well then. Her name was Tashema, she was a werewolf from Jamaica, and she came and visited our pack with her dad who was the Alpha of their pack. She was beautiful, a very amazing soul. We talked the whole night, and we ended it with a kiss. It was the best kiss I ever had until I met my Hazel." Hazel's face went scarlet. She was so cute."Well. My first kiss was Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, also known as the Queen mother." Gasps echoed all around me. "Yes, true story. She was 25 and I was 15. She was in a loveless marriage. One thing led to the next, and we began an illicit affair. When Queen Elizabeth the second was born, I thought she was mine, but I did not smell my DNA in her."It took everyone a minute to digest what I had revealed to them. Allen went next, then Duncan and Ushi. Gerard told us about making out with his 8th-grade math teacher. Gabrielle told us about Bob who also fin

Cassandra Lennox, that name sounded familiar but I just could not remember where I heard it before. None of us said a word, we just sipped on our drinks and listened to Carson speak."Cassandra, or Cassie as I called her, was a few years older than me. She was not only beautiful on the outside, but she had a heart of gold.""Cassandra, I remember her. She was the kindergarten teacher. Now I know why you were always finding excuses to hang around there," Zander smirked."I remember Miss Lennox, she had the most beautiful dark skin that I had ever seen and her eyes were like shooting stars, bright and beautiful," Cleo shared."When Zander's parents got killed by the rogue attack a couple of years ago and Zander went wild, Cassie and I got close. I was 16 and she was 20. I never thought she would ever find me attractive, but on a hot summer's night, we went to the streams. Things got really heated. She was not only my first true kiss, but she was also my first everything." A tear slipped

??? POVTick-tock, tick-tock. Zander lay awake in the twilight of his bedroom. The sounds of the clock ticking and Hazel's shallow breathing were the only melodies that kept him company. He could make out the shadowy silhouettes that the furniture rendered against the moonlight that peeked in through the windows. His green eyes sparkled brightly like two large fireflies; beautiful, but sad.Hazel woke twice more that night. She had the same nightmare as before. Zander needed to know why she was dreaming of Magnus and who this Harper was. Was she even real? Was she in danger? He vowed that when he got back he would find out. He mentally wrote it down on his everlasting list of significant things to do. Number one was to find Zoey. Zander craned his neck and sought the time on the antique Victorian clock. It was 3:30 am. Time for him and Dimitri to set out on their quest. He quietly slipped out of bed. He pulled on the thickest and warmest pants he could find in his closet; it was blac

ZANDER'S POV"Yes, I am certain. Besides, if I die...well, I mean die permanently, at least I would die a happy vampire. I would never forgive myself if I let you die a virgin." I heard the vampire tell Declan. Dimitri knew that it would take more than a car crash to kill him.Declan crawled to the front seat to help me out of the wrecked vehicle. With three bodies removed from the car, the weight of the transforming wolf and the vampire was too much for the jeep to hold steady. It tilted further to the edge. Declan and I grabbed the front of the car. We pulled on it, trying to drag it from the edge. A loud howl rang through the cold air, and we knew that Muffy was fully transformed. The heavy wolf caused the jeep to slide off the cliff. We tried with all their might to keep it from falling, but we failed. Isis was a bit shaken up from the crash but the old witch powered up, and she cast a visible magical rope made from light and air. She wrapped it around the car. "I won't be able t

"There's nothing up here," Declan spun around in circles trying to see if he could identify a building, a cave... anything. "There's nothing here than snow and trees.""But I sense something... I sense great power coming from over there," Zander pointed to the centre of the peak. "My wolf is even picking up on hundreds of odd smells.""I detect it too," Dimitri conceded. They sniffed and tried to locate where the scent was coming from. "Over there, it's coming from over there," Zander pointed once again at the centre of the peak of the mountain."That's crazy, Alpha. There is nothing there. It's just a cliff," Declan sighed. But Zander walked up to the peak and stepped to the edge, and then he did something that stunned Dimitri and Declan... he jumped off the precipice."Alpha!" Declan shouted. He ra

??? POVGidian moved with stealth towards the glowing blood-red eyes. His steps were calculated; precise. He had to make sure he didn't scare the creature any more than it already was. He could detect the fear seeping from the animal's body. With every step Gidian took, the animal took a few strides backward."Easy does it Gidian, she's scared.""I know, but I can sense she's also feral... It's like she has been in wolf form for a long time now.""Yes, it seems that way. I can smell she is also now a rogue... I wonder what happened to her?" Zander was worried. "I don't know, but I think she will trust us better if we're in our human form," Gidian suggested.Gidian's body twisted unnaturally, the air was filled with the sounds of shattering bones, and the noises resemble those of crushed twigs. Within seconds a naked Zander was crouched on his hands and feet. He held his position as he made eye contact with the she-wolf."Priscilla," he whispered. Her ears stood up like antennas as she

DECLAN'S POVDimitri and I got lost around 20 times while we struggled to locate the bonfire Imogen mentioned the witches were having. You're going to march over there and propose one of those lovely ladies to go on a little stroll with you." Dimitri gestured to the group of girls; four witches and two humans, to be exact. "You have got this. Remember what I told you; be open, yet mysterious. Be funny without appearing as a clown and always compliment the ladies," Dimitri massaged my shoulders to boost my confidence. "Ok. Open... Funny and compliments," I repeated."This is it, Pup. Time to get that dick of yours sucked and fucked," he gave my shoulders a final squeeze. "Now go. It's time," he then nudged me forward. I almost fell on my face, but I recaptured my fortitude and forced my way towards the bonfire. My eyes imm

Dimitri stood to his feet; somewhat amused but a whole lot irritated. "You've become, stronger Trixie," he dusted his wardrobes."Don't. Call. Me. That," Beatrix conjured up another ball of grime as she manipulated the element of wind, and she draped it around Dimitri, firing him into the same tree. This time the wood cracked as the bark leaned toward the bystanders."Watch out!" Declan warned. Everyone dashed out of the path of the crashing tree, except for Delilah. He didn't even think twice before he wolf-sped over to her and shoved her out of the way. Both of them rolled on the grate until their backs slammed against another tree. The impact immediately whacked them unconscious. The tree crashed to the land, shaking it like an earthquake and creating a dark vapour of dust that erupted all around

Alfonso led the group through the secret underground passageway beneath the castle. The air suddenly gained a musty, damp smell, the smell of death and decay. Nobody spoke until they reached a grey door hidden in the wall. “This is it, the entrance to the library.” Alfonso whispered.“And you're certain no one will be in there?” Alpha Zander double-checked. He replayed the plan over and over in his head, but something didn't feel right in the pit of his stomach. “Yes I'm sure. Prince Magnus or his guards never come here. They stay in the North and West wing of the castle.” Alfonso exhaled as he pressed the indention in the wall and the door quietly slid open. “Let's go, but be quiet.”Declan was the first person who tried to enter through the door. Zander yanked him back by his collar. “Where the fuck do you think you're going?”“I cannot stay behind Alpha. Maddox and I will go mad if we don't go to her.”“Declan, you can't go,” Lucinda warned. “But she's my mate,” he yelped.“I kn

ANONYMOUS POV"Blink! Blink!" Alpha Zander tried to coax himself. He still seemed to believe his ears had deceived him. Did the queen just say Hazel was with child? He asked himself and his wolf, Gidian answered. "That is undoubtedly what she said. Not that it's impossible, but how come we can't smell our pup inside her?"Zander's fingers stroked the side of his Luna's face, who wasn't moving an inch. "I don't know, but I think Lucinda knows why," Zander replied telepathically to his wolf. The way how Lucinda was staring told him she had some idea of what was going on. Currently, he didn't know what to make of the situation. The other werewolves were thinking the same. Confusion, excitement, and concern were only a few emotions that were swirling around in the air. And also staining the air with an enormous punch was fear. Fear of what this may mean for Luna Hazel. James remembered the first time he smelt his son growing inside Sue-Ling, the she-wolf he was set to marry. A wave of

HAZEL'S POVShe looks like me; I thought, or maybe I look like her. My hair was still dripping wet as I trudged back to the hideout. Maddox dashed off so quickly before I could even get two sentences in. I knew he didn't mean to peep on me, and it was my fault, anyhow. I knew better than to be taking baths in lakes in places that were strange to me. But I was just so irritated and my blood seemed hot, so I had to cool down. I promised myself I'd talk with Declan when I saw him. My footsteps were silent as I hiked up to the others. Lucinda's head fell backward as she laughed, just the way I always do. Her nose was a clone of mine, and her hair, though it was styled in many braids, was the same length as mine, just a bit more kinky. I glared at the woman who left me at birth, my eyes welled with tears. There were so many times I wished I had her around when I was growing up. I quickly blinked back my tears and proceeded toward them. My stomach churned the way Isis was treating her; l

DECLAN'S POVThis was torment, real torture. My wolf and I couldn't help but stare. Like glue, our views were stuck on our Luna bathing in the river. Her waist-length hair was dripping wet and delicately settled over her shoulder. Her rear was to us, and her bodacious backside was making my appendage jerk in need. I would rather not be there anymore. I wanted to go, but Maddox's paws kept creeping forward closer to her. “What are you doing?" I urged my wolf. “Let's go back."“I can't. There's something in the air telling me she is my mate," he explained. I wanted to agree with him since I felt it too. But out of respect and love for my alpha, I had to do the right thing. “But she isn't. She belongs to our Alpha and this is wrong," I told him. This caused him to stop, but not before stepping on a twig. The sound startled Hazel and made her to turn hastily in our direction. She was ringing out the excessive water from her hair. Maddox went into a panic when his eyes engaged with hers

  • THE ALPHA'S DESTINY (THE PROPHECY)   CHAPTER 76: JAMES' MATE

Poor James stood completely frozen in front of his mate. His companions were just as mesmerized by the woman they saw. Her hair was woven into long micro-braids that touched the small of her back. Her Nubian nose was a little different, it had a tiny jewel that glinted on the left side. But the ebony-black skin, the wispy eyelashes, the plump coral lips, and the eyebrows that were always turned up at the inward tips, furrowed, as if judging everything you're doing, were exactly as James remembered. His eyes raked her figure. She seemed more mature, and he liked that. It had been 19 years since he'd seen her, so of course she'd look different. But one thing was for sure: she was even more beautiful than ever. “Lucinda,” James whispered. “Is it really you?” He held his breath and closed his eyes. Lucinda stretched out her fist and ran her palm over his cheek. James gasped for air, leaning into her touch. His frame erupted with sparks at every juncture of his body. “Yes, my love. It i

Hazel grew up watching fairytales on Disney Channel. She puckered her lips and kissed the Frog Prince with Tiana. Just like Belle, she fell in love with the Beast. She and Gabrielle danced with Pocahontas in the wind, and she can't forget when she fought a war with Mulan. Fairytales had always been her thing. So her imagination conjured up what she thought the Fae World would look like; gold, silver, and shimmer everywhere. She even pictured pink talking clouds that tasted like cotton candy. But to her dismay, she wasn't prepared for the truth. The portal vanished with a tremendous cracking sound, like glass being broken, leaving our nine supernatural friends stupefied. There was no wind in the Fae World. Pieces of the sky were falling like dried paint from a wall. “Is this it, Mommy? Is this where you're from?" Tia looked up to a teary-eyed Cedella. Her ghostly tears were the only shimmering detail Hazel saw. Cedella couldn't answer her daughter. The only thing she could do was moa

  • THE ALPHA'S DESTINY (THE PROPHECY)   NOTICE

I DO NOT WRITE FOR A LIVING. I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR. I work 16 hours every day except for Fridays. I work doubles every day because I have a mortgage and bills to pay. I have people who depend on me for survival. I just do not have the time to write. On Fridays I am busy cooking meals to last me throughout the week, doing my laundry, house shopping, running errands, or most importantly, sleeping. For those who can't wait for updates. Then do what I do as a reader, don't start a book that's not completed. I have a life outside of writing. The only reason I'm even writing this right now is because I am at a friend's baby shower and I had to ask this day 3 weeks in advance. Anyone can be upset, frustrated, or angry but I will not tolerate disrespect. If you can't wait, which I do understand, it has been forever since I've updated, but just forget about this book and move on to another book that's completed. No need to act all grimy over here. TF you think you are.

DIMITRI'S POVMy ears kept ringing, tuning out the tautologies of the merman. My bloodlust increased, and my body couldn't fathom what I just learnt. I sunk my fangs into my bottom lip out of anger. “Impossible!” Zander raged. Gidian was reeling at the forefront, ready to rip into someone. Maybe me. And Alpha Zander wasn't even trying to hold him back. “Are you sure?”“Yes. I'm sure of it.” The merman stated. “And what says you two?” Zander asked the witches. “I—I am not certain. The child calls Lucifer uncle, so we thought she was his kin,” Freya let out. “That would explain Zoey's protectiveness of her. Plus the child did seem attached to Zoey,” Prudence wondered out loud. I couldn't take this anymore. I felt the skin on my back parting. My wings only ever came out when I was feral, and, trust me, I was close. “Dimitri. Calm down. We will bring them back,” Julia stated. “You're right.” I calmed down. “We can use the same portal stone to get back into Lucifer's hideout.” “I'm

Dazed and disoriented, Freya studied the white-haired woman who was inching closer to her. Her curvaceous body with her silver hair and milky eyes made her a looker. She was beautiful, but there was something so familiar about the woman, like she'd met her before. Isis paused when she noticed Freya's confused stare. “It is I, child. Isis.”“Wait, what? But you're supposed to be old.” Freya gasped. “That's because she did something bad,” another voice made it through the rubble. Isis's gaze shot to the slender woman, pushing her body up off the ground and dusting the debris off her clothes. “Prudence!” Isis yelped. “Hello, Isis,” Prudence grinned. Tears pooled in her eyes as she pushed past her sister and fell into Isis's arms. “Oh, my child,” Isis cried. “You're alive.”“Yes. I am.”“Wait, I don't understand. How do you look so young and fresh?” Freya wanted to know. “Forget about that and come give me a hug,” Isis declared. Freya rushed and dove into Isis's arms. “I'm so happy
