AVERY'S P.O.V"You rejected, you refused, you have no right over any decision I make in my life. I'm sorry if this is rude but, I'm tired of people commanding me and telling me what to do. At least Sir Damien is polite to me all the time, that's all I need." I bowed my head and was about to leave when he stopped me with his voice."Did you say that your family disowned you? AVERY'S P.O.V"Ugh! Why her? You could have picked anyone else Damien" Jessica gagged with an exaggerated roll of her eyes."Then why were you picked? Lucien could have picked anyone else but you." Damien fired back. "Hmph" she gave a ladylike snort and looked away from us but not before glaring at me.I suddenly felt someone's gaze on me, I turned and saw Alpha Lucien looking at me with a searching gaze, I didn't want anyone to see him staring at me so I shifted and went to stand at Damien's other side, he looked at me with a puzzled expression but I just smiled at him in answer."Alright, let's go. We regroup after sundown" Alpha Lucien announced in a loud voice.Soon, we were out of the pack and into the forest, I followed closely behind Damien who was already armed with his shotgun. THIRD PERSON P.O.VAll it took was him hearing Avery's scream to know that something was wrong and she might be in trouble. With a quick command to one of his men to protect Jessica, he took off. He ran as fast as he could, his heart was beating furiously with terror as his wolf urged him to run faster."I'm going as fast as I can" he bit out in anger, the forest trees passed him in a blur. Soon, he could smell her, his heart slammed into his chest thinking he was too late."Avery!" He roared her name with everything he had but he doubted she could hear him. He stopped for a second to get his bearings. Down there, his wolf urged, she was down at the edge of the forest."Goddess help me" he whispered as he ran, led on by the thick scent of her fear.The roar of the animal almost stopped him short, from where he was, he could see the huge bear already upright, ready to strike. AVERY'S P.O.V"What did you forget?" I asked him again, he raised his head, a deep frown was etched onto his face which already had a few days growth of stubble. AVERY'S P.O.VLightning cracked over us and rain drops began to plop down to the earth from the sky, this brought us out of our staring stupor and we both rushed inside the cave, making sure to not scrape our heads. The cave was surprisingly spacious and wide enough for both Alpha Lucien and I to stand straight, the ground was already covered in multiple leaves and branches. I'm guessing this might have been the cave of a huge animal like a bear. I blinked at the thought that we could be in the cave of the bear that tried to kill me, the thought of another bear in here gave me goosebumps and I shuddered."Are you cold?"
