YARA’S POV

There was a knock on my door a few minutes after Alpha Denver left and it was Cillian by the door with a suitcase in his hand. He forced a smile on as he handed the suitcase over to me and I took it.

“Safe trip with alpha Denver,” he said but he sounded sarcastic. I knew he didn’t mean it because he was pissed that Alpha Denver had to choose me to tag along with him when he was the one who followed him all the time.

To them all, they would assume Alpha Denver was only taking me along with him to make things hard for me by keeping me busy through working non-stop during our stay there but they had no idea it was the opposite. I and Alpha Denver had hated each other so much and for so long that it seemed unlikely for anyone to even suspect we may be having an affair. I was going to call it an affair because Alpha Denver had a mate. Even if he didn’t like her, she was still his mate and we were keeping what had a secret… so it was an affair.
