THE WITCH AND THE ALPHA

ARIA’S POV

The gentle breeze of the room and the lilies that surrounded it felt warm, hot. I glared at her, petrified of what she just said now. 

"His Luna," I muttered my voice barely above a whisper she nodded, she had a smile on and I could see she was enjoying every bit of my humiliation.

"Yes, I have been Luna in this pack ever since I turned eighteen that was about a year ago, Alex and I have been happily married,"

Married? She and Alex were married, and my face melted as everything within me sank into the total humiliation I was going through at the moment. 

She wasn't just his mate but was married to Alpha, a man who was meant to be my mate. 

"So, When I heard about this so-called witch mate of Alex, I thought to myself, it has got to be a mistake, there is no way, Alex didn't even want to entertain the thought of being with another, but I told him to invite you over, let's get to see the authenticity of your claim, " 

My mind was racing, I was already sweating profusely, my internal body heat went from zero to a hundred in a matter of seconds and I could feel everything within me about to give way. My body was growing weak and I felt like I was about to black out. It was unimaginable and unexplainable. 

He didn't even want me here, it was her idea, she brought me here to humble me, if I could stand right now, I would storm out of here and go from myself in a river just so I can outlive this shame. 

But this wasn't how I went down, I am stronger than this, I whispered to myself.

"I am sure there must have been____" Before I could finish my thought, my mouth flew open, my heart began to race again, I skipped a few beats at the same time and my leg grew weak. 

I veered around to stare at the door as the tall, six-foot-tall man walked inside. He was well-built and had a lot of muscles. He dressed in simple trousers and a cloak but you could feel the sophistication of his being. He was elegant. His frown turned gently into a smile, was he smiling toward me? I was also smiling at him. 

His hazel-green eyes were piercing directly at him, his short brown hair messy and yet still so perfect. 

He let out a soft growl and that was when everything went from weird to bizarre. 

He growled again and I could see his wolf struggling to shift, and it growled out. 

"Mate!"

"Mate!"

"Mate!"

Erin's face widened and so did mine, but my body was being flooded with all kinds of feelings I have never felt before, it was almost like my body and his were being merged into one, I couldn't explain it. 

"Aria," he lets out a soft groan, and I was speechless, my name sounded perfect on his lips. 

He was now walking toward me and I couldn't move, what was going on between us, he is mate, I am his mate and then I stared at Erin whose face looked evidently shocked, mortified, stunned.

She was his mate!

That was when I began to get my senses back together from the momentary surge of euphoria. 

Whatever I felt wasn't going to work out, he had a mate and she was standing right here, whatever cruel trick the moon goddess had chosen to play on us wasn't going to work. 

"Aria," Alex whispered, he was standing close to me this time, his hot heaving breath on me, I could feel it on my cheeks, I became flustered and conscious of the butterflies that were running through my stomach. 

"Alex" I muttered, I was trying so hard to fight this pull that was gravitating me toward him. 

"Alex" I heard his name escape again, but this time it wasn't from my lips, it was from Erin's lip. 

Alex and I spun immediately and we were all gazing at each other, a lot of questions running through our minds. I could see Erin's eyes begging, pleading him for an explanation, the once-strong lady who had spoken to me moments ago was gone. All I could see now is a lady afraid, confused, and soaked in doubt. From her eyes, you could tell that she loved Alex. And she scowled at me with disgust, I was the stranger who had come here to wreck her home. I could almost understand her

"I don't understand, I can't explain this, you are my mate," Alex mumbled, continually, he was as confused as we both were, this was all new to us. My mind trailed off. 

Especially me, when I found out I was mated to an Alpha, my first reaction was fear, fear of the unknown. A million questions ran through my mind and somehow I was just starting to get answers for most of them. It was just a mistake, and fate's cruel arms never extended any luck to me. It had brought me here to be humiliated, but I wasn't going to give in. I will win, this isn't how my story end; as the third wheel mate of an Alpha.

"Give me some time, Aria, let me get to figure this out, let's figure this out," I tuned back Into what he was saying, he was pleading I stay, enough for us to figure this thing out.  

My mind went off when my mother was packing my bag for this trip. I could see the visible sadness in her eyes even if she was trying so hard to mask it. 

"In case you change your mind Aria, and you don't want to see through with it, I will be waiting, in case you just want to come home," she whispered to me.

Suddenly what I must do became clear to me, I was trying to fight the thought but I know now. J let out an exasperated gasp. 

"I Aria, ___ I Ariana, " I was stuttering, " I Arina Winchester hereby reject you Alexander as my mate,"

Immediately, my legs started weakening, and I felt a pounding in my chest. I was sinking to the ground. 

I fell on the fall but right before I hit the ground, he caught me in his hands, and my eyes closed

I blacked out
