Chapter 2: TWIST IN TIME

"Hey Johnson come join us, here have a bottle. You've been working since morning when do you have time to rest?."

"thank you Big j, you know I don't take Alcoholics" Johnson said.

"Hahahaha who says that?, look i know i don't go to church but I have watched that one time even priests drink wine on that huge table, uhhh what do they call it again?,(he asks rhetorically) the Altar!!!, Yeah that's what they call it."

"OH YAH ME TOO!." a man said roughly.

"let me tell you something, you don't have to become a bad guy before(in a low tune) you do this things" Big j said.

"DEM RIGHT!."

"I know you gat great potentials boy, put them into use."

"DEM RIGHT!." the man still talking

"come on Johnson you know it's a free world and this motherfuck*rs ain't better than you."

"DEM RIGHT!." the man keeps interrupting

"hey you shut the fuckup Fitsher, you're a gad`damn drunk, how many bottles would your sh*t belly take before you stop, with your chicken hands. What do you mean by "dem right!" (Big j mimicking his voice) I'm sure your mama is at the church singing halleluyah praise the Lord my son is a good man, not knowing he is an empty vessel! with chicken brains."

"hahahaha." other men laughing at Fitsher

"what are you laughing about?, (they all fell silent) you are all a disgrace!" Big j said.

"We are sorry Big j." they all chorused

"sorry for your gaddem selves, dumb ass!."

"It's ok Big j i have to get going now, i still have to buy some groceries at the store before it gets too late" Johnson said, excusing himself.

"Alright Johnson, I hear you boy, don't mind this cockroaches I have as friends, I will see you tomorrow."

"of course Big j". Johnson replied as he entered his car and zoomed off he could still hear the voice of Big j yelling at his friends at the background.

"Umm how much is it?" Johnson asked. "everything is twenty dollar Sir" the receptionist replied.

"alright here, keep the change."

"thank you very much Mr Johnson, (she smiled sheepishly) you are soo generous, byeeee!." Johnson entered his car and drove off. He is playing his favorite song Thunder by Imagine dragons and rolling on the street at an average speed limit, he checked his wrist watch and the time was 9:47pm when he got to Bane town he increased the speed limit.

The road is dead silent with few cars passing by, he still has the popular story that happened in the town on his mind and could not imagine what might happen at any moment, he then increased the headlights of his car to the fullest and was looking around from the windscreen to his side mirrors incase of any danger. He got to the curvey part of the road as he moves steady, not slow but not too fast he takes his eyes off the road for some seconds to check the time on his wrist watch and immediately he was raising his head back up he saw something or someone, he couldn't tell what it was, trying to cross, he instinctively hit on the break pad to avoid crashing into it but he was too late, before you know it....

Dorian unaware of her surrounding was still moving at a great speed on foot and did not notice that she was about to cross the road, she's only focused on getting as far as possible from the forest. Like a vision she quickly looked at her right hand side because she heard a noise but couldn't see clearly what it was before she could change direction the light penetrates into her eyes and "BOOM!", she was thrown several meters away to the ground as blood gushed out of her head and mouth with several injuries on her body. (Light fades) she wasn't moving...

Back at home Dorian refused to be forced into marrying someone she doesn't like. Back at her home as a princess normally the head of the ACCORM legion has the right to choose the male Accormite she bonds with and gets married to. Fortunately for her she found a way to escape tonight before the ceremony that would have been held the next day announcing her as the bride to the Ruler's first son who is very much older than her.

Dorian despises his attitude and she hate the way he always show off his strength by bullying the weak, not that he is that strong but no one dared to challenge him because he is the ruler first son, worst of it all, how can she get married to her own cousin.

Since the disappearance of Marpha some years back, no one could tell what really happened that he went missing just like that after the celebration of his daughter's twentieth birthday. Dorian afterwards was treated as a nobody in the palace and most times she will cry all day because her uncle Elias always make her feel like she killed her mother.

"You are a cursed child and that's why your mother died while given birth to you, you killed her!" Elias accused.

"noo! no..no i did not kill my mother, I did not, I did not, I can't kill my own mother!." Dorian breaksdown completely.

All this was happening because her father was no where to be found, she only gets comfort from her grandfather, infact he planned her escape. He would never watch his granddaughter get married to a spoilt brat like Derrick, the son of Elias.

Dorian's father Marpha was once the Accorm legion ruler and everyone loved him except his stepbrother Elias. He was so angry and jealous that his half brother was loved and respected by everyone in the legion, he grew more hatred for him when he archived what no other ruler could do or rather refused to do in their time.

He brought about creativity amongst the young once, expanding their knowledge about things humans do to survive and how they go about their daily lives, their inventions, food ,drinks and clothings. Other rulers before him never wanted any similarities with the human nature including his father. Marpha is a man of great intelligence, he is well educated and brought about many good things to his people, though Elias wife gave birth to a son first, Marpha was still very happy for him and even organized a huge welcome celebration party for the child.

Some years later Marpha's wife also took in and at the time of delivery she had some complications and unfortunately she gave up her life but gave Marpha the most beautiful angel he has ever seen. At this point he was filled with mixed feelings, he was happy that he has been blessed with a child but at thesame time overwhelmed with sorrow for his lovely wife, he cried in a low tune as he held his baby girl in his hands, looking into her eyes tears rolled down his chick uncontrollably, he just wished his wife survived, he then remembered what she told him few days ago;.

"Marpha." Queen Ezlar squeezed her self in his arms

"yes my beloved queen." he presses a warm soft kiss on her lips

"if it's a girl can we name her Dorian after my mother?." she gazed at him

"anything you want my love! so shall it be." Marpha replied kissing her again hungrily...

He looked at the baby again with a wide smile and said, "Dorian my child, you are so beautiful, you look so much like your mother." he kissed her forehead and he takes her into his chamber.

Growing up Dorian was left with her father, her grandfather (her mother's father) who was her father's adviser, and her uncle Elias family who she didn't like to relate with, she always liked spending time with her grandfather because he always tell her stories of the ancient Accorm history and the way they came into existence.

"Grandpa , can you tell me now how the Accorms came to existence?. Dorian asked with a pleading eyes

"I've done what you asked me to do, please!!!." "alright my dear, I will tell you,sit down." she seats beside him on the bed.

"A long time ago the moon lived amongst the forest and she found comfort each time she visited the forest, stunned by the beauty of the forest nature she couldn't abandon it, and you know what happened!?." Darius asked rhetorically

"No grandpa" Dorian answered in anticipation.

"the moon made a covenant with the forest that for as long as she lives they will be descendants of theirs which will be granted soo much possession of power, strength, nature of man and spirit and she concluded that as long as her light shines down on the forest her promise will forever be, for generations to come her offspring will continue to exist, but... (he paused)

"but what! Grandpa?" Dorian doesn't like the suspense because she can't help it, she has been waiting to here this story for long.

"but there might be great consequences if her offspring turn against each other. She said..

"if my offspring depart from love there might be great consequences and blood bath, hatred, dissection and misfortune. For I cannot predict evil that's why I have also prepared a plan to bring forth a savior who will bring back the love and peace, for he would not be recognized by his own people, his rage will heal the weak, his broken heart will bring joy to his people, his eyes beholds royalty from birth. I decree! for if this day shall come!, PAIN WILL BE THE PATHWAY and HIS POWERS BEYOND HE'S SIGHT. My words must not be heard by the wrong ears for words are enough for the wise!."

Dorian opened her mouth in amazement "Wow! his eyes will behold royalty!, what does that mean!?." looking confused

"hmhm (Darius chuckled) my child, it only means he would be born special, probably with a different eyes or something, no one knows now but for when the time comes you will understand the prophecy of the moon. Now run along, go play with your cousin." Darius said petting her head lovingly.

"Ok grandpa!."

"and Dorian!,(he stops her half way) remember the words "must not be heard by the wrong ears!!!" they both said it.

"gottit grandpa, I won't tell anyone I promise." she smiled widely and dashed out

Darius suspects his granddaughter Dorian to be the child of prophecy, for she was everything the moon revealed about the savior that will come, she is different, she has a broken but loving heart, she is strong and fast but there are two things which just doesn't add up.

The first was that Dorian is a girl and the moon revealed the savior to be a boy. Secondly Dorian is not an aggressive type, she is not filled with rage or fury.

Darius tried soo many times to get the thoughts out of his head but he can't help but ponder over it. He said to himself " but why do I have this strong feeling that she is connected to the prophecy, if it's not her then who could it be?." (rhetorically)

"Ahh!..ah!."

Johnson recovering from what just happened, he had bumpt his head so hard on the steering wheel earlier when he hit something on the road, there is blood on his smashed windscreen and when he realized it he immediately came down from his car and even though he was limping he managed to approach the body. Out of shock when he sees blood all over the ground he thought of running away but his heart couldn't take it.

"Oh my..oh my God! what have i done,(breathing fast) i just killed someone, i didn't mean to, i..i am sorry, God what do I do now." He bends over and turned her body facing the heavens then putting his right ear on her chest to check if somehow she's still alive and yes he could hear her heart beating slowly.

"hunh!, (surprised) hang on Miss i won't let you die on me." He carried her into his wagon and drove as fast as possible to the nearest hospital, it was dark and he needed to find a hospital that has the capability to treat this stranger because she has lost a lot of blood already, he was wondering where she was coming from at this time of the night and how is she still alive. In a few moment he turned and looked at her bloody face even though she looked messed up and dirty, he couldn't take his eyes off her as he admired her and watched her pink lips a thought came to his head but he averted it immediately.

"hashh what I'm i thinking!." he looked incredulous

again he peeps at her before checking his wrist watch, he turned on his music player and listening to his favorite song Thunder by Imagine dragons he drove through the city to find a good hospital.
