Jethro didn't expect the rain to last this long. Through the thick glass, he could see the city immersed in gloom and darkness. Occasionally, long flashes of lightning and loud thunder would appear in the pitch-black sky.

"Gemma, I remember you used to be afraid of thunder... but then you weren't anymore," Jethro whispered, reminiscing about the past.

When Gemma pressured Jethro into marriage, he didn't want to share a room with her, so he had separate sleeping quarters. It was a stormy night, much like tonight, when Gemma knocked on his door with a pillow in her arms.

"I don't want to sleep with you either, but I'm scared of thunder, so let me sleep with you just for tonight."

Jethro remembered Gemma's words and chuckled, but his expression quickly turned dark and melancholic. He remembered how Gemma would come to his room during heavy rainstorms, seeking comfort and companionship.
