Chapter 5 

  Flashback

The curtain was drawn Skylar sat on her bed staring at Diana as if she has seen a ghost.Skylar clutched her fist she could barely open her mouth

"Mom I don't wanna marry him" Skylar grumbled

"What did you say?" Diana asked raising her brow

"I don't wanna marry him" Skylar repeated louder this time

"You are gonna marry him and that final" Diana passed by her and left even before Skylar could say anything

"Why? Why must I marry him? Mom.." She cried and pull her blanket to cover herself

She wipe the tears dropping from her eyes but it kept dropping,she was sad and cried herself to sleep

Skylar woke up about an hour later,she stretched and looked at the clock on her table

She saw it just 4pm,she intended to cover herself back with her blanket but stops when she hear her sister's angelic voice

"Skylar.. You Ok??"

Stacy asked muttered and move to Skylar's bed

"You ok?" She asked again as Skylar wasn't answering

She turned to Skylar and saw she was crying

"Come on sis, crying won't change anything, come here" Stacy pulled Skylar into her hands and they both cried

They stayed in each other's arms for a while

"Can you stop this madness" Skylar said in quiet voice

"I wish I could but he asked to marry you to sign the deal with dad and you know dad can do anything for this deal" Stacy replied with pity

"Then am I suppose to marry that monster? he's cruel and….."

"How about I take your place?" Stacy cuts in

"Nooo Stacy it dangerous, what if… "

"Come on Skylar I can do this anything for you sis" Stacy interrupted with a pitiful smile.

"But…"

"No buts sis, we done with this conversion" Stacy said before Skylar could refuse

"Come on let go meet him,my husband to be" Stacy muttered and Skylar noticed a spark in Stacy's eyes

She don't know if she saw wrong but she felt Stacy was happy

'Did I see wrong or am I seeing things? it looks as if Stacy is smiling or did she already find a way to stop this marriage?'

Stacy pulled Skylar along and Skylar shakes her head and followed

"Sorry Mr Leon she will soon be here" James chuckled awkwardly

Leon ignored and kept his gaze on the stairs that lead to Skylar's room

He keeping tapping his fingers in anticipation and he saw a figure emerge from the stairs 

He felt restless and can't keep his cool he can't wait to see her,he smirk a bit when he heard the sound of footstep

He frowned when he saw who emerged. "Mr Leon sister said I should see you on her behalf" Stacy smiled, her eyes sparkling.

"Get me your sister" Leon replied emotionless

"But sister…."

"Get me your sister" Leon repeated and Stacy shivered a bit scared

"I'm here" Skylar muttered, appearing behind Stacy no one knew when she got there. Leon smiled

Skylar stare at him in awe when she was told she's getting married to a tyrant, she thought he will look horrible but she was surprised, he looks devilishly handsome,his chiseled jawline and cheekbone and his blue eye stood out,a lazy smile was playing on his lips

Skylar shook her head she got a bit distracted by his looks 'so what if he's handsome, he's still a cruel monster'

Skylar thought "Since she's here that means she agreed" Leon looked at James and James nodded

'His voice came out nice and….stop it Skylar' Skylar almost hit herself at her thought

Leon stood up and move closer to Skylar, he leaned towards her ear and whispered

"You should get ready sweets,we are going on a date wifey"

Skylar shivered. She had no idea why she was sweating. She felt nervous and her eyes met Leon's. She quickly looked away. Leon chuckled "get ready I will be waiting" he added and moved towards the door.Skylar continued to stare at him as he opened the door and went out she released the breath she didn't know she was holding.

Flashback End

Skylar POV

I opened my eyes and groaned. I looked around and I was back in my ward,I held my head and recall the memories that just flashed by. I never knew my marriage with Leon was arranged by Leon himself and my father gave me to him.

But he treats me well or I'm missing something, I tried to recall more but stopped when heavy pain hit me.

"Thank goodness you are awake" Leon entered and moved closer to me and touch my forehead

I can't help but look at him in a different light. What am I missing? What is it? If it is an arranged marriage then why is…'

"What's wrong?" Leon asked interrupting my thought

"It nothing" i replied

"You ok?"

"I'm fine" I replied

"You sure?"

"Yes am fine" i added and he sighed

"What about her?" I ask

"Who?"  Leon replied with confusion

"Bia" I saw Leon expression change

"Don't tell me you did something to that little girl" i looked at him knowing what he can do

"Of course not she already left with her mom after apologizing to me,I don't want to let them off but I had to because of you" Leon complained I can't help but smile "come here" I opened my arms for him to hug me

He stared at me in surprise,he met my eyes and I nodded for him to hug me.he hugged me and held me very tight I sighed though I had no idea how we lived before or what we had but I wish this moment will last,I love this moment. I inhale his smell and chuckled

"You are…." But Leon was interrupted by the door

I look in direction of the door and saw my sister,She looked at us in surprise and I saw her expression changed,she looked bitter,I smiled at her and she also forced a smile

I tapped Leon to let go of me but he doesn't want to i saw my sister's expression darken.After been with my sister for a month I noticed she seems to have a crush on my husband

She looked at me with a dark expression and smiled when she noticed I was staring at her. "Leon you have to let go now" I whispered to him and he groaned and reluctantly let go of me 

He didn't spare Stacy a gaze before he left us to catch up

 "I brought your lunch" Stacy kept the lunch box on the table and moved closer to me she touched my forehead and smiled 

"You are getting better, you will go back home in no time" she beamed and I also smiled I decided to ask her but she turned before I could and went back to the table,I watched as she opened the lunch box, she was talking but I wasn't listening

I was busy studying her but my attention caught what she said last 

"About Leon "

"Yes, what about him?" I asked

"Don't you think you trust him too much? I mean even more than you trust me"

"So?" I raised my brow

"I mean you shouldn't trust him that much…."

"I shouldn't trust my husband?" I interrupted staring at her with attention

"I don't mean it that way I meant…"

"Tell me Stacy, do you like my husband?" I dropped the bomb and watch her expression betrayed her 

"What..what..sis...what do you mean?" She stuttered and I asked again

"Do you like my husband?"

"Of course not,how can I like your husband? He's your husband remember" She replied calmly this time 

 "I see" I nodded

"What makes you think I like him?" She asked

"Well never mind I guess I was thinking too much" I gesture for her to hand over my lunch, Stacy quickly gave me my lunch and i ate and pretended not to see her stealing gazes at me

  *Two months later*

"Are we going home?" I stared at Leon curiously

"Yes" he replied and i chuckled

"Finally" I came down from my bed and went to the bathroom to change from my hospital gown to the clothes Leon prepared.

"We are home" Leon announced as he opened the door of the car for me,I came down and stared at the mini duplex

I was expecting a bigger house but this looks just fine

"What are you thinking?" Leon whispered into my ear and i smile at him 

"Nothing,let go in" i put my hand in his and we went in together

The duplex was nothing I expected

It contains 4 bedrooms, a kitchen,Sitting room and 2 bathrooms,one in the master bedroom and one in the guestroom

The kitchen is connected to the dining

The interior design of the sitting room was simple and comfortable it gives off good vibes

"And that all" Leon said looking at me, he took me for a little tour inside our home 

'Our home' I smiled and stared at him," Do we live here before my accident? " I can't help but ask

"Yes we've always lived here" he took me into the master bedroom

I look around,it all dark,black curtain, black wall,everything was black and it hard to make out things in the room

"Who designed this room?"  I turned to him 

"Me" he smiled and I frown "why is everything black? It too dark and giving dark feeling" I added

"Really,you never said this before i guess it because we don't stay in the same room" he replied and I stare at him in surprise

"We don't stay in the same room?" 

"I mean...we...how should I explain this?" He realized what he said and tried to explain

"I know it an arranged marriage but was our relationship that bad?" I questioned and watch as Leon widen his eyes in surprise

"You remember?….you got your memories back huh? You…"

He lifted me into his hands before I could reply.
