AUTHOR'S POV
Tears streamed down Anita's eyes. Even when her mother died, she didn't cry. Aiden wasn't supposed to die. People up were surprised to see her bawling her eyes out. It seemed like it was in a movie.
Magnus watched as Anita became despondent and it caused him to wonder what sort of relationship was between them.
Without ni further ado, he signalled to the other guard, and she was also taken to the podium.
"As it stands now, it is time to receive your punishment." Magnus announced happily. This has gone on for the longest time and it was finally time to see her end.
" Can I say something?" Anita piped up. Her voice ringing over the pack. Curiosity filled the eyes of the listeners.
Magnus considered her statement. He could bet that she was about to come up with something probably insane and wanted to buy sympathy. Also
Amara's POV. I could still smell burning flesh. The smell never found a way of leaving my nostrils completely as it tormented me every so often even now as I sat on the cold metal floor. My ass hurt like hell but I had gotten used to it over time. I had also managed to get used to the painful memories and nightmares that refused to loosen their grip on me. Meaningless tears trickled down from my eyes as I struggled to expel them. I was just a pup when they came for us. I still remember the scent of my mom's signature Waffles with a side of Chicken sauce. It was a weird combination when you think of it but we all loved it regardless. She guarded her recipe like it was the secret formula to creating a nuclear reactor. Alpha Fredrick Izzie or 'The white wolf of the North' as he was popularly known (I remember thinking what a stupid crappy name it was then but now I idolize It ) had too many enemies. Powerful enemies. The type of enemies that would give tough men nightmares and leav
Amara's POV. My ass still hurt as I sat on the cold steel floor of my room crying for a life that was taken away from me by men I didn't know. "Amara." A familiar voice yelled. The walls of the huge house vibrated in response. It was the Baron's wife, Camille, a tiny lithe woman. She was blessed with the body of a housecat but had the voice and spirit of a thousand warriors. Camille looked gentle and harmless even but that was just a camouflage covering up her ruthless efficiency. She was the type of woman you would want by your side when facing the worse possible danger scenario. I was sprinting through the hall and almost knocked down the cook on my way. She was fast in avoiding me and I was lucky my clumsy level had reduced a little. Camille was about to yell my name again when I burst through the door like a raging storm. "I'm here," I said with a little bow just as she had taught me. Camille loved things done a certain way and even though I loved her, she was way scarier than
Amara's POV. "The Baroness's brother." I froze completely at what Margaret had just said. The Baroness's brother. First, I wasn't aware the Baroness had a brother and there was absolutely no way I could know that. My mind tried to imagine what he would look like. Was he tiny just like his sister or was he a brute of a man? Did he have the same fierce spirit as the Baroness or was he a timid little thing? A few hours later, all the ruckus died down and I was certain at that moment he had just arrived. My palms got sweaty and I tried my best to relax but the effort just made me sweat more and extremely skittish. Why was I nervous? It's not like he was here for me and what if he looked like the shadow of an ape. I tried to dismiss him from my mind fully and succeeded for a while. Just a while. Margaret rushed out of the kitchen for a minute and rushed back. She looked worse than I did. I was already in the jade gown and I packed my hair in a neat bun. I used a silver plate to check m
Amara's POV. He turned around and left the room before I had a chance to say anything. What just happened?! I stayed up all night trying to come up with a logical explanation for what had happened. Twice I sniffed my breath but it was okay to me. Then why did he leave just when I was sure he was about to kiss me? I was so lost in our dreamy conversation that I had totally forgotten about asking him what his name was. Thinking about it, it was probably for the best he left when he did. I didn't know how the Baron would react if he knew his brother-in-law had been in my room or worse, how the Baroness was going to react. She'd probably feed me to the bird. The next morning, I got up and completed most of my chores. I was grateful for not seeing him throughout the morning. Later on, Margaret told me about how the Baroness and her brother had gone out shopping. They had taken Sylvia along. I was relieved for the most part. Not long after, they returned from shopping and the house b
Amara's POV. Wtf! What the actual fuck?! My mind screamed in different volumes and decibels. I looked around in horror at the poor state of the place. "What was that?! Why did you pull me here! What are we doing here?" My rage infused every word as they spilled out of my mouth without stopping. My heart slammed my ribcage with enough intensity to break the damned thing. "Relax, princess. I'm sure you know why we're here." He said with the same annoying grin. He had the body of a prized fighter so struggling or fighting against him was hopeless plus I didn't feel the urge to fight. Not even the slightest. In a way, I wanted this. I looked our surroundings over once again and said, "This place. Really? It looks like it's abandoned for a reason." He drew closer to me with one long stride. I could smell his sweat and raw power oozing off him which was a sharp contrast to the Baroness's brother. When he was close enough, he said, "Maybe it's abandoned so we could fuck." His words ma
AMARAI lay on my bed thinking about all that Conan has been doing. He always has a way to irk me and get under my skin at the same time. Why does he even keep coming into my room if he has so many complaints? It's something I will never be able to understand in my life. The worst part was that he always had a way to make my heart pound. I should be hating him for all the things that he's done to me and for the fact that he always finds a way to mess with me but I just could not help myself. I found myself sinking deeper and deeper into him. I shook my head. I can't allow myself to think of Conan. For one thing, it's never going to work out between the both of us. For another thing, I already have Rocky. I mean, I can't say I have Rocky yet but I can already feel that I'm starting to fall for him too......And Rocky…I don't know how to explain it...he seems like he's in love with me but I don't know what's going on in his head. I shook my head to get rid of thoughts of Conan and Ro
AMARA"What exactly do you want, Slyvia? Don't you know that it's going to be too much for me if I'm the only one who has to clean up this place? What did I ever do to you? Why do you have so many grudges against me?" I asked Slyvia. I was thinking that both of us might be able to solve the problem by talking. However, I was wrong. So wrong. I underestimated just how Slyvia hated me. And it seems that I'll never find out the reason for this hare in my life here! "Do you think that you have the right to say those words to me right now? I'm the one in charge of you and you are going to do whatever I tell you to! You came here to be a maid so why are you acting like some princess? Don't you know that maids are supposed to do whatever they are told without any questions?! I can throw you in the dungeon now for refusing to clean as you're asked! It will be a major disrespect to the baroness!" Slyvia threatened me. "What?! I never said I'm not going to clean! You are making this up!" I s
ROCKY"Don't worry too much Ara, I can take care of myself" I said. And I can also take care of her. I won't let her get hurt. Of course I didn't tell her this, it will be considered giving away too much information. She doesn't need to know about this, at least not yet."Really? Because I don't know what I'd do if something happened to you because of me. I don't think that I'm that worth it. You may not know but ..." I didn't let Amara finish.I haven't even told her who I am and her insecurity has already kicked in and she had started to think that she isn't good enough for me. Why does she even have such a low self esteem?!This woman has no idea how amazing she is and how any man will be extremely lucky to have her."Hey

AUTHOR'S POV "Well that's what everyone who has something to say, says." Aiden said. " This is not the way I envisaged my life to be." She said. "Well, most of us didn't envisage that our lives will turn out the way it did." He replied, watching her and she bowed her head. "Can you be honest with me?" Anita asked." Let's hear it." He said, and went to shut the windows." You still haven't spoken about the real reason I am here." She said, because she was surprised to see him fussing over her." I have made myself explicitly clear." He said, starting at her weirdly." Well, where have you been since?";She asked. She had never seen him before in his life." Do you want me to tell you the real reason?" He asked." I would like that." she said, really interested, for she was at wits end." I have loved you for a very long time. I just didn't think that there would be a need to see you because you were married. However, now that I know that you're fair game, I promise I can't let you
AUTHOR'S POV Looking up reluctantly at the guard, " What happened?" Conan asked. He was getting a little bit frustrated because whenever things were getting good, something always came upthat will jeopardize the pack or he and Amara's relationship. The guard looked at the Conan, not knowing how to break the news to him. Now, Conan was beginning to get very pissed. This boy just came here to interrupt him. " Yes?" He asked." There has been a breach in security and rogues have infiltrated the land. A lot of lands were set on fire, and almost to the hospital.""So, what did you guys do?" Conan asked. It was their job to deal with the rogues. " I rushed to tell you sir. He replied. " How many lives were lost?" He inquired." None. We managed to put off the fire before it escalated." " Okay, I'll be there in few minutes." Conan replied and rushed towards Amara's room. He didn't want to be caught unaware. This must be Anita's handiwork. He rushed down to Amara's room." Hey, there w
AUTHOR'S POV The men barely spoke a word to Anita, and it pissed her off. For someone who wanted her to be his wife, he was doing an awful job at connecting with his spouse. Not like she wanted to marry him or anything. She just felt that he she would be able to use him and get away with it like other men in the past." Where are we going?" She asked Aiden. He turned towards her, while the driver watched through the rearview mirror. "To my house." Confusion fitted on her face and she stared at the boy in front of her. " Where might this be?" She inquired. " You'll know when we arrive." He replied turning to the front. The car was thrown into silence and she sought for a way to leave the car. Aiden seemed a bit crazy and she couldn't stomach any craziness from anybody. " Will any one speak? What is really going on?" She asked from the back. Unbeknownst to them, she was with a spoon which she sharpened against a stone when she went to pee in the bush. She could slice their necks o
AUTHOR'S POV " You are selfish, and wicked." Celia said and Damini kept staring at her, wondering what kind of effontery she had to speak to him in that manner. A lot of people will never dare to do what she did. Well, that was one of the reasons why the moon goddess chose her for him. He was grateful for her spitfireattitude. She didn't take nonsense from anybody no matter who the person was and what position the person occupied, and that was a very good characteristic of a Luna. The heart of the pack. A lot of people underestimated the Luna. They didn't know that they were equally as strong as the alpha. She wanted to say a lot but held he tongue. Instead, she exited the room with her head held up high. She would not plead with him about this issue again.Damini could not sleep that night. He tried to drown himself in work, yet it didn't suffice. He knew that he hurt his mate. He was not a bastard. One of the major things they were taught right from childhood was to cherish their
AUTHOR'S POV There was no where that Magnus' guard didn't comb when they were looking for Anita, and Magnus was very furious when they didn't catch her." Who is not here?" He asked and the guards looked at one another in confusion." Which guard is missing?" He repeated, and there was a silence. He didn't mind wasting anybody who decided to be a nuisance to the pack and an accomplice to Anita and all of her evils. The guards continued looking at one another, and he called for an emergency meeting."Call all the guards for me." He said. The guards got assembled after 20 minutes, and he counted each and every one of them.Aiden was missing!"Now I need anybody to tell me the truth, who saw him when he was leaving?!" he asked very angrily. The guards stared at one another, and he slammed his fist up on a table they were trying to take him for a fool. What insolence? How did he manage to leave under their watch? what were they watching? That meant that they were not even watching when
AUTHOR'S POV " What is your name?" Anita said when they crossed the border, she was baffled at the ease in which they used to get out of the Magnus' pack. " We need to get to our destination first." He replied, and her eyes widened in surprise, oh really? She thought. A car drove towards them, and they quickly entered. This was fast. Both men spoke in Italian, and she became suspicious. "What are the both of you talking about?" She asked, didn't they know that it was rude to speak in a language that the other person didn't understand? The men turned towards her as if just noticing her presence." We were speaking about how to leave this place." He replied, as the other man watched our interaction. " English would have sufficed." Anita said, and they stared at moronically. " We have to leave now." The guard told the man and they rushed off. "Where are we going to?" Anita asked, the silence was deafening and the boy in front of her was not saying anything. The routes they took wa
"What the hell?" Amara thought inwardly. Things wee moving from bad to worse and was getting really annoying. " What do you mean by that?" She asked, and he smiled again, yet creepily this time. " You are mine. Ever since I laid my eyes on you." He replied with so much emotion in his eyes. " Really?" She replied. There was no other explanation save that this man was crazy, but he didn't know it. " Where am I?" She inquired, at least if she had an idea of where she was, it would be easier for her to escape. " That's not for you to know. We are getting married soon." He replied with confidence, and she rolled her eyes. He was full on delusional. Now she could see it." I have a mate." She replied, two in fact but she kept the latter information to herself." That's none of my business. You are the one for me." She replied, and Amara stared at him. " You need to eat something." He said bringing a spoonful of food close to her. Yuck! It was the same spoon he put in his mouth earlier
AUTHOR'S POV " Wake up." Magnus shouted and Anita woke up immediately, not expecting him to take that tone with her. " What?" She asked, she felt a headache. " It's time to eat." She had not eaten since last night and that caused her to be very weak. Did he not have work to do?" And you woke me up in thus manner?" She asked. " Your royal highness, I'm sorry that I didn't serve it on a gold platter." He replied dryly. " Thank you." She replied, as he passed the food under the door to her. She was being treated like a prisoner, a dog." How are you feeling?" He inquired, once she is well, the next thing is to appear before the council. She squinted at him, " My leg still hurts." She replied, and he clicked his tongue. He didn't believe her. Watching her through the cell gates, he noticed her countenance. She was wearing that contrite expression again which didn't fool him, try as she might. If there is anyone that he was afraid of, it was Anita. She had a way of making sure that
