AUTHOR'S POV
" Get her!" One of the guards instructed.
Anita groaned and picked herself up, ignoring the pain searing through her leg.
They sped towards her, as she rushed Northward. No guard was approaching her from the front.
She jumped over a tree stump, this time watching carefully to make sure that she wasn't slowed down.
" Fuck!" She hit another stone, and not allowing that to deter her, she pressed on. Her salvation coming into sight.
They noticed her gaze on the water, and a guard shouted.
" Don't let her get away!" He screamed.
The pain in her leg was becoming very unbearable, she almost felt like giving up, but the consequences were dire.
She refused to stop. Stopping meant that she was going to be tendered to the council, and she couldn't risk that.

AUTHOR'S POV " I'm sorry, your highness." Dorian trembled on his knees. Conan stared at the disgrace of a warrior." How much did she pay you?" He asked, watching their lips tremble. They knew the consequences for their actions. It was straight up being killed. However, before he killed them, he wanted answers from them." She promised to make us Lords luke lady Sylvia ." Dame replied this time. Conan stared at the council of elders. They must have been really stupid to think that Anita would just give them a place in the pack.." You are stupid to have believed that. Where are the kidnappers?" He asked, watching the both men stare at themselves as they hesitated. It was as of they didn't know how heartless he could also be. He raised a sword. How dare they try to defend kidnappers? The common problem was readiness. Always been their problem." You are willing to lose your life because of a position that you will never occupy?" He asked." We don't know." They cried. All they knee
AUTHOR'S POV There was tension in the air when Anita arrived at the next pack. Exhaustion took over her body, and she collapsed on the floor. How she managed to evade the rogues on the No Man's Land shocked her.Panting heavily, she tried to catch her breath. This was beyond her imagination that she would be a fugitive. Her stomach cried in hunger. It was almost two days after her escape from Alpha Darius. Her eyes caught the trees filled with apple fruits in the forest. She gathered herself, and she threw a stick at it, to pluck them. She was halfway into biting the apple, when a voice spoke."They are poisonous." Her heart sank, when she turned. She was cursed with the misfortune of meeting her worst enemies. " Long time, no see." He smirked Alpha Damien watched the woman who was once a delight become a shadow of herself. A menacing figure, becoming mousey. There was a time when she would regard him with no respect, now she looked frustrated. He looked her up to down. Her sk
AUTHOR'S POVA splash of water jolted Anita awake. She was surprised to find herself in chains heavier than the ones used before. She spat out the water and tried to.move. The creaking sound alerted the guarded and they opened the door. " Welcome back, dear Anita." Damien said, they had almost lost her if not for his Beta who was patrolling already. " Shocked to be here?" He taunted as she gazed around trying to adjust to the sudden light that assaulted her eyes." Are you sure that you are okay?" He mocked." What do you want from me?" Anita sighed. Damien gave a smiled. " Absolutely nothing, at this point, he was ready to hand her over to the council for punishment at no cost. The fact that she thought she could escape without keeping her end of the bargain made him want to rather deal with her." Thats a lie." she said. Damien was a greedy bastard. That bargain was too cheap for him." What if I told you their names, and allow you trade my drugs?" She asked. So she had drugs? He
AUTHOR'S POV Sylvia ran towards the border. She knew that they might not have discovered her escape. So she ran all the way. Avoiding the patrol guards, she bundled towards the next pack. With a panting and beating heart, she rested behind a date palm tree. She held her breath at the incoming footsteps of the guards.A sneeze racked through her body, and she had no choice but to let it out." I thought I heard a sound?" A guard said, and she held in her breath harder this time. They walked towards the direction of the sneezing person. The guards smelt her and they stopped walking. " Go that way" The head guard mouthed to the other guard to pretend to retreat. While the other guards cocked their guns.Sylvia heard the retreating footsteps and thought that they were going back. She peeped, there was no one In the clearing. Then, stepped a foot forward to crunch the leaves. There was still no sound.Immediately she stepped forward, she felt a metal placed on her neck. She froze." Tak
AUTHOR'S POV The rattling of the gate woke Rocky up. His eyes slowly adjusting to the light, after been knocked out for a while. The clicking of heels resonated down the hall.A figure obstructed the light, an he looked up." Aha, welcome back." Anita greeted cheerfully and Rocky rolled his eyes. " Let me out of these chains." He ground out. Anita clicked her tongue, " Why would I be so foolish to let you go?" She asked, and he shook his head."Because I might have a solution to your problems." He said, and Anita raised her brows." I don't know how you think people reason. But everyone is not as gullible as you are." She delivered the insult with a smile." Ouch! That hurt." He replied. She grinned at him. He couldn't bullshit a bullshitter. Unless he had something worthwhile and tangible to say, he was going no where. At least, until she left the town. " Ciao." She waved at him, before exiting the room immediately. That would be all for today. She was driven back to the pack h
AUTHOR'S POV The men released Rocky after Anita fled. She was almost at the airport when they heard the information. A four man team led by Daniel, chased after her towards to the airport. The chains fell off Rocky's hands and he was very relieved at the development. If they didn't come fast, he didn't know what he would do. Anita had made sure that he was not given either food not water. For a week that he had been here. Anita noticed a car tailing her and she told the driver to move fast." Go faster!" She told him, and he pressed his foot on the gas. The men sped after her. Daniel had rented a car, with Magnus' connection. Anita climbed into the front of the car trying to take the wheels from the driver, Daniel was closing in on her very fast. Shit! There was no way that she could avoid him. She put her foot on the gas while the man controlled the wheels. Stopping meant that she was going to be caught, which must not happen. A trailer was approaching at the same time, yet s
AUTHOR'S POV "Anita sent me here." He cried out and Damini hooked him again to the chair. " What were your plans?" He asked, and Roderic fidgeted, hesitancy clouding his expression." Answer me." Damini demanded, as he held him at his throat. " Nothing yet. She was meant to give me a signal when she arrives." He managed to ground out. " Is that all?" Damini asked. Anita would keep her leeches in places so that her evil plans are carried out effectively." What did she promise you?" He asked. " A piece of gold." Roderick replied. " Good, see the gold in the great beyond." Roderick got shocked to death. If he allowed him to keep roaming who was to guarantee that he wouldn't accomplish his mission the second time. Speaking of missions, he had not heard anything from Conan and Rocky. He decided to visit them." Has Anita been captured?" He asked." No, she hasn't been spotted any where yet. We were told that she landed in Russia and flew out back the same day." Rocky replied. Damin
AUTHOR'S POV It took long before Daniel and Rocky were able to convince the men that they weren't thieves.By the time they got to the airport, Nina had already escaped. They ran to the check point to ask where the plane was leaving to, but the receptionist said that they were not eligible to divulge, it was after putting them on a call with Magnus before she finally revealed the location The men booked another flight, she was rushing to Istanbul.Anita heard the development and laughed to scorn at their ignorance. They were busy chasing wild air. She imagined the devastation on their faces when they realize that she was not the one they had been chasing. It was either they were foolish enough not to notice the difference or the girl was just too good at impersonating her. This made her very happy at the development, it was very funny that they hopped on to the next flight immediately. That was their problem; rushing and running into situations without sitting back to find out deep
