Not Just a Dream

Sira was startled out of her sleep, she had just clearly seen Damian's shadow enter her house. Then quickly checked the clock on her cell phone which was not far from Sira's reach.

“Oh my. It's already afternoon. I slept for so long.” Sira rubbed her face roughly, her breath still coming in frightened gasps.

“It's lucky I'm off work today,” Sira continued with a slight sigh of relief and began to organize.

Sira walked towards her kitchenette, immediately poured water into a glass and gulped it down without a trace. Her breathing was still labored, the clothes she wore were slightly soaked with sweat.

“How refreshing,” said Sira, pouring water into the glass again and downing it. Sira walked towards the balcony of her room, enjoying the afternoon view as usual. She smiled softly when a small breeze hit her face.

“It's so good today. The more days go by, the more grateful I feel for having been given this kind of life,” Sira muttered to herself, looking at the city in the distance.
