I could not believe that my dad had given Jill my mums ring. I was overjoyed, I pulled him in to a tight hug. I did not even notice that Jill had left us alone until I finally let him go. “Thank you dad, it really means a lot that you gave that ring to Jill”

“I was planning on giving you her engagement ring, you can then give it to Jill when you are ready to propose if you like. Or if it’s not her style you could maybe give it to your first son or daughter”

“Jill will love it and it would also mean a lot to me if I could propose to Jill with it. It won’t be yet though. I think she would freak out if I asked her now. She has grown up around humans and getting married in your teens in not normal for them” I laughed

“If she is your mate I don’t think she would care anymore”

“Probably not, we still have a few months till she turns 17 though”
