James’s POV

The moment Jill looked at Brian then looked at me I knew that he was getting a mind-link. I suddenly regrated not being there with him. If he was having doubts and I was there I could have helped him. Instead, I was more worried about Jill. I felt like I had messed up as his Beta. All I could do was shrug my shoulders at her questioning look.

“Did he mind-link you?” She asked him as soon as she saw the mind-link end.

“He did but she must have caught him as the link ended suddenly” Shit I should have been there, he would have contacted his dad as he would have the strongest connection to him. I knew he wolf was weak as I could feel it whenever I was near him.

“She will make sure to increase her power and keep him close then” Jill was right, I am not sure that even if I stook by his side I would be able to stop her now. We were screwed.

“All we need to worry about at the moment is making sure that you are ok. Now let’s go and look at these places you saw” Brian gave her a sm
