Ninety Seven

James’s POV

I woke up and looked over at Megan sleeping so peacefully, I could not understand why she was not as excited at me to find out if we were mates. She instead wanted to spend the next two days away from me and make me wait. I know that it was only one more day and I would not kill me. That was not what was bothering me. I was bothered by the fact that she did not seem excited to find out if I was her mate. I was starting to doubt if her feelings for me were genuine. I did not want to be taken as a fool. I was too proud for that. I silently slipped out of bed being carful not to wake her. I threw on some shorts and went down to the gym. I was pissed and the best thing to do would be to take my anger out on the punch bag. I was so engrossed in what I was doing that I didn’t even notice Megan come down until she spoke.
