Scent

What's that smell?" Henry said as soon as David sat down across him. 

"Seriously Bro..." David said arching his one eyebrow as he didn't like the way his brother just tried to joke him. 

"Seriously what’s that smell. It's....... it's like.... like something so sweet and...... I can't find a perfect word to describe" Henry said sniffing in the air and then sniffing at David's direction. 

"Oh, that was some Omega......" David couldn't complete the sentence when he saw Henry coming too close to him. He stopped him by his hand.

"Here.... you have it on you not the body just this shoulder" Henry said sniffing at David's body and then to his left shoulder.

"Oh that.... some stupid girl bumped into me" Henry frowned unconsciously on David's tone like didn't liking the word he just used. 

"Why would someone bump into you?" Henry couldn't help but ask. 

"She was a friend of that omega, was finding him and she bumped into me" David said looking at his phone. 

"What omega?" Henry asked looking at David 

“Bro you could have come with me if you are this curious." David huffed in irritation. 

"Can you for once like just for one time respect me like an elder brother?" Henry looked quickly at the boy and smiled softly.

"I'm sorry. I asked you earlier that i hear some voices and that smell that was irritating me, it was an Omega, on his heat. Some Alpha was trying to take advantage of his condition but thank to Moon Goddess i was on time and helped him. He fainted and i had to take him to nursing room. There i was looking for someone who know him and I bumped into a girl. She was his friend i just handed him over his friend and came back. That's all. Any questions" David said giving all his attention to his brother. 

"No..... Do you know them?" Henry said.

"You just said no and boom a question. It's proved i can never understand you" David chuckled.

"Which one? The friend or the unconscious one?" David asked Henry.

"Well both" David shook his head in no. 

"You could have stayed till he wakes up" Henry asked getting concerned. 

"Why? His friend was with him and beside he was on his heat I can't risk it" David said remembering the omega. Henry nodded getting back to his typing.

"Bro?" Henry hummed in response.

"Have you seen any omega with purple eyes?" David asked switching off his phone. 

"No why? Did you?" Henry asked and David shook again. 

"When i helped that Omega he backed away, i know why but he had purple eyes, I'm sure it was purple. It's not like I'm seeing an omega for the first time but i never saw one with purple eyes and then when I picked him his eyes turned blue quickly and he fainted" David explained remembering what he just witnessed.

"Hmm i don't know but i think Grandma would have the answer. Let's ask her when we get back home" David nodded and they both stood up going to their last classes for today. 

Nora laid Alex down on his bed and cover him with comforter. After a while Alex opened his eyes slowly. 

"Hey...... hey lay down." Nora quickly stopped him from getting up. 

"How did i came here?" Alex said and Nora held his hand.

"I brought you here. You fainted at school" Nora said and a loud panicked voice made both of them to turn. 

"What? Fainted? Why? When? At school? But...." The standing person was going insane looking at the pale boy lying on bed. 

"Hey... breath..... he is okay. It was just his heat and just like always he fainted. It's nothing serious Jace " Nora said while dramatically holding his bridge of nose. 

"Why are you not taking pills i gave you for your heat?" Jace said while sitting on the edge of the bed facing Alex. 

"They do no good doctor, infect they make it more difficult for me." Alex said in low sad tone. 

"I don't understand what is wrong with you they work completely normal on other omegas" Jace said while checking Alex's temperature by putting hand on his forehead.

"I don't know what's wrong with me. Can't i just live a normal life?" Alex rolled his eyes. 

“Nothing’s wrong with you. You are just special. A rare male Omega. You are a blessing” Nora said giving him an encouraging smile.

“A curse more than a blessing” Alex muttered.

"Why are you here by the way?" Alex asked Jace who just facepalmed himself for forgetting why actually he came here. 

"OH Sophie send me. She asked to bring you back with me" Jace said. 

"How do she know that he's here?" Nora butted in.

"Oh she don't. I went to school and there i met a very weird guy" Jace made a very disgusted face. 

"What happened" both Nora and Alex said at the same time. 

"I was entering the main gate when by mistake my hand rubbed with someone else and he gasped" 

"So?" again both of them said but a little bored. 

"He knew why i was there? I mean he told me that a short highted girl took Alex with her." And they both looked him in the eyes with all attention. 

"Who the hell was he? And how do he know my name?" Alex said panicked. 

"That must be the guy who saved you." Nora said by holding Alex's hand again. 

"Actually, that happened to me also." Alex looked at her. "When i was finding you, I bumped into a boy and I didn't know where i was going but he told me that you are inside and that was how i found you. He took you to the nursing room also" Nora said and Alex remembered that breath-taking boy. 

"That's weird right?" Nora and Alex nodded.

"Why is Sophie asking for me? I mean what's so urgent?" Alex said getting back to the topic. 

"It's Matt" Alex sat straight listening to the name with worried expression masking his face. 

David and Henry were finished with their classes and was heading home when at the main door of school David's hand rubbed with the boy passing next to him. David quickly retreated his hand and gasped. 

"The one you are looking for is not here. A short highted girl left with Alex. He must be home." David said the other person who was like maybe he saw a ghost. 

"You teenagers don't know to respect your elders" Jace snapped on David thinking he is pranking him but when he heard Alex's name, he felt angry.

"I'm sorry bro but really he is not here. You must hurry up. I don't know her name but she was his friend and they left quite early." David said again but a little concerned tone. 

Jace just looked at his face one last time and ran back to his car and drove away. 

"What happened? What did you saw?" Henry asked soon Jace left. 

"A young boy. Not something good" David said a little worried. 

"You need to hide this thing Dav. It can get you in trouble. I think you should listen to grandma and start taking sessions for this" David nodded.

"I think that would be best. It's getting out of my hands now. It happened twice today." David said and Henry didn't feel right to ask him what he actually saw. 

As they walked out of school David asked Henry to wait for him till, he gets his car from the parking lot. 

As David came Henry hopped in and they headed home but it was not a smooth ride as always something was disturbing older and that was making younger restless and at last he asked. 

"What's wrong?" David asked.

"Nothing." Henry casually said. 

"I can feel something is bothering you. Tell me what is it?" David said and Henry huffed. 

"You being True blood is getting on nerves now" David chuckled and then dramatically wiped his tears. 

"Listen this people My Brother Hates Me." David said wiping his imaginary tears which made Henry to smack younger's head and they both laughed. 

"Seriously what happened. What's on your mind?" David asked again all serious like they just didn't joked just now.

"That scent" David rolled his eyes listening to this. 

"Come on that was just a scent what's a big deal about it?" David said looking at Henry. 

"That's what I can't understand. It was just a scent but why is it making Kol restless." Henry asked while trailing his hand in his black hairs. 

"Now you know how it feels right? It irritates. That's how i felt today at school" David said mocking Henry with a smile. 

"Shut up" Henry said slapping David's arm. 

"Don't worry let's just go home and ask Grandma all about it. Hmm?" David said and Henry nodded.
