I had fallen over on my face, being carried away with wanting to get in the front line.

I winced in pain, holding on to my arm which I had sprained in the process of falling.

I had my eyes on the track and surprisingly found Liam and his other team members already leading.

Shit!!… I muttered to myself.

I knew at a point, I had to stop but still I had to continue on the track.

And just as I laid flat on the floor trying to pull myself up, I felt a hand on my shoulders.

“Are you okay?” I heard a feminine voice say as she had her hand on my shoulder.

“I'm good, thanks” I replied. It was Joanna who tried to help me up. I felt good seeing someone helping me up.

But then again as she did, I sort of caught a glimpse of a fresh scar on her neck.

I had my eyes fixed on the fresh wound wondering how it had gotten there.

The minute she noticed I had seen it, she had her scarf pulled down covering the fresh scar.
