The journey to the mansion kicked off soon rather than later, as we drove past the lonely roads on the way to the mansion.

I wasn't so sure whether or not he was headed the right way, as all I could faintly remember were the tall trees and abandoned houses by the roadside leading to the mansion.

Apparently, losing a father in a time like this wasn't what I had expected but unfortunately life happened.

I stared out the window, remembering nights I had run off into the woods being chased by my late foster father.

I was never one to voice out to the others how badly treated I was with him around me.

But still, In all of this I never wanted for his death so quickly.

And just as I wandered off in thoughts, the car came to a halt and then I realized we had arrived.
