I gave no reaction and she smirked.
“You finally succeeded in separating Jaselyn and I, you should be satisfied.” I murmur, eyes wandering around the room.
“I am satisfied, very satisfied. I just need to make sure my efforts aren't in vain. If I loosen my grip, you'll run off to Jaselyn and tell her the truth. The fool will take you back and all my hard work will be for naught and I can't have that now, can I?” She questions rhetorically with a toothy grin.
“How long do you plan to keep me here?” The words slip out of my mouth thoughtlessly as she discards the bloody cotton wool before taking out another ball.
