"Greetings, Alpha Supreme", the leader of the troop that had just burst into the conference room greets.
Marvin immediately relaxes on hearing the voice and sighs. It was a woman, a very thuggish smelling one though, but certainly a woman.
"Do you realize that you have just committed a crime against your Alpha Supreme by barging into this place?", Jonathan snarls and the leader laughs.
"I am Gabriella Stone, daughter of the Alpha of the Red Moon pack in Green Bay, Wisconsin. My father said to send his regards", she introduces.
"Do you think it's appropriate to speak to your Alpha Supreme when he can't even see your face?", Magnus asks in a calm tone having figured that she had to be Marvin's new mate.
"My apologies", she sighs and signals her subordinates to take off their helmets.
Once their helmets are off, she turns back to face the members of the werecouncil and gently takes her own helmet off making her light brown hair fall out.
Marvin watches as she takes off her helmet and could feel his wolf growl in lust as her hair cascaded down her face in a way that he strangely found attractive.
"Satisfactory now?", she asks and Magnus nods.
"So your father sent you to disrupt my meeting with the Alpha Ultras?", he asks.
"Not really, my Lord. He actually just said to pass a message to all the Alpha Ultras and you. What's the better way to do that than to visit the meeting of the werecouncil?", she shrugs and Magnus laughs.
"You must be a very daring one, I can see that", he comments.
"Not at all, my Lord, I just like shortcuts", she waives. "It would have been so stressful to meet with all the twenty-six Alpha Ultras and the Alpha Supreme without doing this"
"There are actually twenty-seven Alpha Ultras, young lady", Martins argues in an angry tone and she smiles.
"I beg to disagree, Young Master", she chuckles.
"What do you mean by that? Weren't there already twenty-six Alpha Ultras before the creation of a new province?", Martins counters.
"The new province... That's actually the reason I'm here"
"What is wrong with the new province?", he snaps.
"Nothing at all, Young Master, but with it's Alpha Ultra however... There might be"
"How dare you question the decision of your Alpha Supreme and the werecouncil? Have you lost your interest in having your head?", Martins fires at her and Magnus touches his shoulder.
"Easy now, Martins... Let her explain herself", Magnus chuckles and Gabriella smirks. "So what exactly is your point?"
"My point is that the decision on the person suitable for the position of alpha ultra was not a pleasing one to the people of that province", she explains and Martins' eyes widen in indignation but he keeps mute.
"It was not a pleasing decision to the province or it was not a pleasing decision to...", Magnus is asking when he realizes he didn't know the name of Gabriella's pack.
"The Red Moon pack", Jonathan supplies just as quickly already knowing why Magnus stopped halfway.
"Exactly that", Magnus smiles.
"The Red Moon pack is very distressed and hurt by the decision of the werecouncil but besides that...", she is answering when Jonathan cuts her short before she could finish.
"The Red Moon pack or the Alpha of the Red Moon pack and his fiery daughter?", Jonathan asks and Gabriella rolls her eyes.
"The Red Moon pack", she spits in reply with gritted teeth. "But besides that, I can mention a few other packs that are also displeased with the choice of Alpha Ultra for Wisconsin and Illinois states", she completes after continuing from the point where she was cut short and Magnus chuckles while Martins is blazing with anger confused at why his father seemed to be calm.
"Why don't you mention some of this packs, young lady?"
"Gabriella is the name", she supplies.
"Should I prefix a Miss to that or a Mrs?", Magnus asks and her smile falters.
"Miss, my Lord", she responds.
"You must have a mate though, so how does he feel about having his woman prancing about the country and challenging the Alpha Supreme?", Magnus teases and her eyes darken.
"That's beside the issue on ground, my Lord. I will move to mentioning the packs that disagree with the werecouncil's choice of Alpha Ultra for Wisconsin and Illinois", she responds without allowing her indifferent tone to change throughout her speech and Magnus chuckles.
"And how do I know that you won't be mentioning random names of packs in that area?"
"I was also thinking that, My Lord, which was why I came with a list of the packs that think the same as the Red Moon pack", she announces and brings out a folded sheet of paper. "That bears the names and signature of the Alphas of these packs", she completes once she has unfolded the paper.
"You're a very resourceful one", Magnus commends.
"I just try to be perfect at whatever I do, my Lord", she smiles.
"The same way I'm going to be perfect in tearing you apart if you continue acting so...", Martins is retorting when Magnus glares at him.
"Shut up", Magnus commands and Martins sighs. "One of you should bring me that list", he orders.
The Alpha Ultra nearest to Gabriella collects the list and quickly brings it over to the Alpha Supreme. Magnus collects the paper immediately it gets to him then looks over the list slowly before looking to Gabriella again.
"Well... That's a lot of packs", he chuckles. "So who do they think would make a better Alpha Ultra? Your father?"
"Actually... Yes", she replies just as quickly and the Alpha Supreme and his Beta immediately burst into laughter.
"Who exactly is your father?", Magnus asks.
"Richard Stone"
"Ahh... That man", Jonathan mutters and she raises an eyebrow.
"Is there anything peculiar about him?", Gabriella asks and Jonathan turns to Magnus.
"He was one of our options", Jonathan reveals once Magnus gives him the go-ahead.
"So why did you decide on someone else? Because he's your son?"
"Our Alpha Supreme has never been a biased leader, young lady and it was not his personal decision but that of the werecouncil", Jonathan declares. "The werecouncil will think about your proposal though so you may leave now"
"Fine", she replies then turns to Marvin. "I believe we need to have a conversation", she sighs struggling with her wolf who was pleading for her to pounce on the hottie and kiss him till the calm look on his face was replaced with wild lust.
'I can't believe he's so calm when I'm practically running crazy trying to stop myself from kissing the breath out of him', she thinks.
"You have five minutes to join me outside", she spits and storms out.
"Is she the one?", Dale whispers and Marvin nods.
"Is it just me or did she just give off the aura of an Alpha when asking Marvin to meet her outside?", Martins asks.
"She's an Alpha female, very rare occurrence", Jonathan replies.
"That still doesn't give her the right to command her Alpha Ultra and walk about like she owns the place", Martins snarls.
"I didn't think the rumours were true... But that still doesn't make her father's decision to hand over the pack to her proper", Magnus muses. "Marvin, are you still here? You only have five minutes"
"Are you allowing..."
"Yes", Magnus replies before he could finish and Marvin immediately stands up to leave as calmly as he could. "The moon goddess never fails to bring a solution to every problem"
Marvin inhales on getting to the exit of the building where the werecouncil was meeting. It was the headquarters of Havillah Industries, a company that was always controlled by the Alpha Supreme of the US since several generations. His wolf has been weirdly calm ever since they laid eyes on their new mate, Gabriella probably just as shocked as Marvin was about their new mate. She was extremely beautiful even with how stoic she acted and managed to stir his loins which he wasn't sure if it was an effect of the mate bond or if he truly found her attractive. 'But she is so different, she's not like...', Marvin is thinking when pain coursed through his veins like a fresh stab to his heart. 'I thought you promised not to think about that again', he reminds himself and sighs. "Damn it Marvin, why are you nervous?", he growls. 'Why wouldn't you be nervous when a mere lady was able to command you and your wolf after an entire life of being in control?', his mind argues. "She didn't
Marvin's eyes widen for a second at Gabriella's declaration as he wasn't expecting it. She definitely took being unreasonable to a different level. "How do you feel now? Satisfied?", he asks wryly. "Shut up and don't make fun of me, I'll go to every length till I'm able to get rid of this mate bond", she grunts and his eyes narrow in confusion. "Isn't the bond gone?", he asks. "Arghh... How come I'm feeling it even more than you do?", she yells and he is forced to burst into laughter. "Shut the fuck up", she shrieks and he laughs even more. "Maybe you should try inserting my middle name when rejecting me next", he chuckles. "Does that even matter?", she retorts. "I don't know", he admits. "Maybe the rejection didn't work because you didn't recognize me as your Alpha Ultra" "You're not my Alpha Ultra, get that into your thick skull" "Why are you so verbally violent?", he playfully complains. "Should I be physically violent instead?", she retorts and he chuckles. "I have a f
"You don't look pleased", Richard Stone, the Alpha of the Red Moon Pack mutters as he looks up from a file on his table. "I'm fine", Gabriella replies softly and shuts the door to her father's study behind her. Once she shuts the door, her hands move to her neck to pick the pendant of her necklace. Her father's eyes catch the ongoing action and he frowns. "I know that gesture", her father points out and takes off his reading glasses. "What?" "You're rubbing your necklace", he replies and she drops the pendant with a sigh. "Why did you call for me?", she asks in a weak attempt to divert from the present trail of conversation before it led her to a dead end. "Gabriella, what's wrong?" "I'm just thinking of what we can do to get taken seriously", she replies, spewing out a half-truth. "What do you mean by that? Do you think the Alpha Supreme was dismissive towards the complaint? Varus didn't inform me of such", Richard probes. "No. He was actually quite interested, but
"Is the Alpha princess in?", Varus asks the guards stationed in front of Gabriella's room and they immediately stand up from their seats. "No, sir", they reply. "How long has she been out?", Varus investigates. "The Alpha King summoned her minutes ago, she hasn't returned since then", one of the guards informs Varus. "Very well then", Varus replies and turns around to go. If Gabriella hadn't returned since meeting with her father, there was only one place she could be: the training room. "Want a partner?", Varus offers after getting to the training room and stopping at the door. "No", Gabriella replies and slashes off the head of the dummy she was sparring with. "That's a lot of heads", Varus chuckles on noticing the number of dummy heads sprawled on the floor. "Who are you angry at exactly? The moon goddess?" "He just had to tell you immediately", Gabriella scowls. "I'm glad he did" "I'm not", she fires back and Varus sighs heavily. "So you weren't going to tell me, your
"Are you sure you don't want to come back with us? One short visit back home wouldn't hurt", Martins tries to convince Marvin. "Can you stop trying to convince him to come to Washington with us? He's not interested", Magnus snarls. "You're supposed to be on my side in this matter. Wouldn't you want him to meet the new Luna?" "As much as I would like to check out this new stepmother of mine, I'm quite occupied back at Aurora", Marvin excuses. "More like you just don't want to come back home", Martins mutters. "Think whatever you want", Marvin retorts. "Goodbye, Father" "Goodbye. Don't forget your deadline for the official opening of the branch, the werecouncil may have chosen you but it would still reflect badly on me if..." "I'll take my leave now", Marvin interrupts and walks away. "That disrespectful fool", Martins mumbles. "Let him be, Martins. I guess he hasn't recovered fully", Magnus realizes. "It's been three years already. He even has a new mate now" "Emotions don'
"Good morning, Alpha", Castor greets with a smile as Marvin walks out of his room dressed in a suit. "Same, Castor", Marvin replies. "What's for breakfast?" "Cereals for me, I don't know about the rest of the house" "I'll just have coffee then", Marvin decides. "Is your mother around?" "No, I'll go find her" "Don't bother, finish up with your breakfast so that you won't be late", Marvin waives and walks into the kitchen. Marvin soon walks out of the kitchen with a cup of coffee in hand and then proceeds to look for Stacey. He finds her in the laundry room and stops at the door. "Stacey" "Marvin. Good morning", she smiles. "I see you haven't made breakfast yet" "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you were going to the office today. Karen is still in bed and the rest have gone out already so I thought I could do the laundry before making breakfast", she apologizes. "That's actually fine, I wasn't feeling up to breakfast" "Okay, but won't you take anything at all?" "I already mad
"Marvin!", Trevor calls out in confusion at Marvin's declaration but Marvin was rushing in already. "Guards, there's an intruder!", he yells nonetheless. The ongoing work in the building is immediately paused as all the workers strive to find the intruder. "I heard there's an intruder, sir. How did you spot the intruder?", the head of the construction who was a human asks. "The CEO was the one who raised the alarm, I only helped to spread the alarm" "Where is he?" "He went chasing after the intruder", Trevor repeats and the man walks off. "I wonder what this is about", he sighs. 'I know you're here', Marvin speaks through his wolf link as he runs up one of the staircases. The elevators had stopped working which had to be her doing. He had tried cutting off as many people as he could from his mind link but some wolves that didn't need to hear were still going hear what he had said. 'Nice one', his wolf suddenly hears and he pauses. Gabriella. 'Find me if you can' 'Are you a
"Marvin!", Trevor calls as he runs up the staircase in search of Marvin. 'I'm coming, just stay where you are', Trevor hears through his mind link and immediately pauses. After a while of waiting, Marvin finally reaches where Trevor stood and Trevor sighs in relief on seeing him. "Are you alright?" "Obviously", Marvin grunts in reply and a small smile plasters itself on Trevor's face. "So how did you know there were intruders?", Trevor asks once they are walking down the staircase. "What do you think?", Marvin replies. "Well, I have two speculations that both have large uncertainties involved", Trevor responds. "Spill" "You could have probably sniffed that there was an intruder. I don't know how that's possible though with the number of men we have on site alongside the humans but I guess Alphas could be cool that way. I haven't heard of that power though" "And the second option?" "One of the intruders was someone from our pack", Trevor replies and Marvin frowns. "How did
Marvin is about to sigh when he realizes his wolf was not affected at all and pauses. He had felt the loss of his previous mate the moment he lost her even before finding out she was gone but his wolf was surprisingly unaffected this time. Getting rejected probably wouldn't be as painful as the death of a mate but at least he ought to feel something. "Damn!", he suddenly hears Gabriella say followed by a long groan and his eyes light up in worry. "I don't want him! I don't want him! Just take him away already!", she screams and he smirks realizing his speculation was right. "I guess the moon goddess wants us to be together by all means," he shrugs and she screams again. "Calm down, Gabriella! People are beginning to stare at us." "What do I care?", she retorts and begins storming out of the restaurant. Marvin immediately stands to his feet and drops some cash on the table then hurries after her. "Sir, your order is here already!", a waitress yells as he leaves while dropping a
Several days later, all the inconveniences caused by the fire in the pack have been forgotten and plans for the launching are uppermost in the minds of everyone. Marvin is sitting in his new office, planning how best to complete all the requirements they were to meet before the launching when there is a knock at the door. "Come in," he answers, without looking up from his desk and Trevor walks in with his usual cheery countenance. "I really love the outside view from this new office of yours, it really is the best office in the building", Trevor praises. "As it should be", Marvin smiles. "Someone is being boastful" "Someone is liking another man's office better than his", Marvin fires back and both men laugh. "So, I have some documents for you to sign," Trevor announces once they have put aside their mirth and drops a folder on Marvin's desk. "I'm getting tired of having to sign so much paperwork", Marvin groans. "This is going to be the story of your life till you're old a
Varus is the first recover from his shock after Marvin's declaration and he immediately clears his throat. "Surely you don't mean that", he stammers and Marvin chuckles. "Actually yes, I do. My pack is a young and fast developing pack, there'll be opportunities for us to be an ultra pack in the future if we work hard. I don't mind having the position of Alpha Ultra in addition to my position as Alpha of Moonstone pack but if you have anything interesting to offer, I would be very willing to handover my position to you" "Em... There's emm... I could offer you my daughter of course", Richard stammers. "I don't want to force my relationship with your daughter, Alpha Stone, but if I had the desire to, I could just storm your pack whenever I like and take her away. I could have even kept her with me the two times she visited my home" "I could make you your pack the second-in-command to mine" "I'm already first in the dominance hierarchy of this province", Marvin reminds Richard
Varus paces about Richard's study with a large frown on his face. Richard is sitting on his chair in the office also seeming pensive but not as much as Varus was. "I don't why you're refusing to arrange a meeting to discuss getting Gabriella back", Varus complains. "I can't request for a meeting with the Alpha Supreme's son, that would mean I'm admitting defeat", Richard argues. "Then do it! This bid of yours to become the Alpha Ultra was not going to work anyway" "It would have worked if she didn't get mated to him" "Well, she did. If you were so capable of being the Alpha Ultra, then why didn't you get elected by the werecouncil in the first place?", Varus retorts. "Do you think the Alpha Supreme would choose someone else over his own son?", Richard challenges. "It's not like it was his personal decision, there were twenty-six Alpha Ultras and two aides of the Alpha Supreme in the werecouncil apart from the Alpha Supreme" "But his vote counted as five votes and each vote of
"I'm here", Tyra mumbles on entering the kitchen and Stacey turns from what she was doing briefly to smile at her before continuing to work. "So what can I help with?" "Well, you can peel the potatoes on that cabinet" "Okay", Tyra cheerily replies and moves to do as instructed. "I'm sorry about today's accident", she speaks up after a while of silence. "It's not like it was your fault", Stacey shrugs. "Well, it actually isn't. It's still kind of embarrassing though, I just met Castor and you, and everyone then suddenly this" "Does it happen frequently though?", Stacey asks after a pause. "I have upsurges on moonless nights and every now and then but today's episode was particularly strong. I've never had such a strong outburst since learning to suppress my powers" "So before learning to suppress your powers, this kind of outburst happened on every day you had outbursts?" "On moonless nights, yes. My upsurges also happened more frequently back then", Tyra replies. "So why don
Castor kicks the door of his room shut behind him after walking pass with Tyra in his arms and moves to the bed to drop her. Once he drops her on the bed, he walks to his wardrobe just as quickly and picks out a t-shirt and sweatpants. "I hope it won't be too big on you", he mutters as he drops the clothes on the bed with his eyes averted. "I'll head out so you can dress up" Tyra exhales once he was out of the room and picks up the clothes he had dropped. They were almost falling off the bed since he hadn't been looking when he dropped them. "My brothers weren't even half as neat as this", she chuckles on seeing how tidy the room was while looking around but her smile soon freezes at the memory of her family. She quickly shoves aside the thought and goes back to thinking about Castor instead. She found it impressive that his eyes hadn't lingered on her body even for a moment while bringing her in. He had also been calm and caring all along and was even the Alpha's ward from wh
Castor's mouth falls open as he watches his mate transform into a column of fire. A huge ball of fire suddenly emanates from her and lands metres away, digging a huge crater into the ground. The guards are already rushing to put off the fire when another fireball lands few metres beside the first one. "Stand down, we don't know if she's done yet!", Marvin yells out loud and into a mindlink with the guards, not wanting anyone to claim not having heard the order. The fire around Tyra's body begins to wane making her body outline visible after the release of the second fireball while everyone watches in silence. "I think she's done", Gabriella sighs and Castor immediately runs towards her. "Castor, wait!", she yells just as quickly but he is already at Tyra's side catching her as she is about to fall to the ground. She was now in human form once again with her hair no more glowing but completely naked as even though the fire couldn't hurt her, her clothes couldn't be spared. Everyo
The shrieking cry of a baby pierces the air and Gabriella shifts annoyedly on the bed she lay on. She turns about for a while before finally sitting up with a frown. "Why won't that child just shut up and sleep?", she complains grouchily in a sleepy tone just as realization dawns on her. There was only one place she had slept in her entire life where a child had interrupted her sleep by crying loudly in the night. "Damn Gabriella, how are you here in Marvin's home again?", she reprimands herself. "How come that child is even back home?", she snorts just as her memories suddenly come back to her in a flash making her groan. "To think that I'm the one that brought up the idea of adding more wolfsbane to the dart mixture so that it would be more effective. Look how long you've been unconscious now", she chuckles as she remembers getting shot. 'Is it possible for me to make my way out of here before daybreak?', she wonders and looks out of the window only to see that it was already
"What do you mean by what I am supposed to do?" "You know what I'm talking about, Marvin", Stacey fires back. "You can't just tell me to reject my mate just she makes you all feel uncomfortable" "Then just don't bring her to our home, don't even bring her to the pack if possible until you've straightened things out with her", Irvin deadpans. "I wouldn't even want to see her even then after what she has already done", Stacey mumbles and everyone stares at her. "Why do you hate her so much anyway?", Irvin frowns. "I don't take people who mess with my family lightly", she responds. "Marvin, you have to make a decision on this" "You all know my decision. I will try to protect everybody the best I can but I can't send her away. I will deal with her properly once the launching is over, I promise" "No Marvin, deal with her now. Once she wakes up, confirm what her priorities are even though they are quite obvious and make her know she's on her own if she goes against us again", Trevo
