Thirty-Eight

Sally's POV

Ryan sketched out what he envisioned on B5-sized sketch paper. To use a cliché, he drew a large, menacing wolf on all fours standing before a helpless girl, who he depicted as looking scared. I admit he's not bad at drawing.

Funny enough, though, I had the same idea, except the wolf looked like he was protecting the girl from all the world's harm. The wolf in my vision had a gentle look in its eyes as if it was trying to tell her that it would always be there for her and that the wolf belonged to her.

I took out the set of pencils, charcoal, crayons, and the A1 canvas I just bought. I took a deep breath before starting, it was lunch and I guess I better get started. I let my hands do the magic. I looked like a mess, my hands and cheeks covered in charcoal stains.

I painted the long grass at the bottom of the picture, I combined white, gray, and charcoal, a little blue in the eyes. I'm really satisfied with the result. I took a photo of it while I was there. I packed my thi
