Lyla POV:

Beneath the lavish canopy of the four-poster bed, my thoughts churned and bubbled, like a potion over a fire. The room was a stark contrast to the grim revelations I'd just endured. It was bathed in a soft, golden hue, with intricately designed wallpapers and elegant furniture that screamed affluence. But the grandeur was lost on me. Instead, the gilded cage only amplified my sense of entrapment.

I paced the room, every footstep echoing my rising panic. There were so many questions - about Noah, about my own mysterious abilities, about why any of this was happening. But in the face of such vast unknowns, the most pressing question became: How do I get out of here?
