CHAPTER 3 MALCOLM FAMILY

Sian remained quiet, clearly reluctant. 

Lin saw and exhorted: "Miss, Lin needs to get back and can't deal with you later on. Allow the Malcolm Family to look after you. Try not to let Mr. Valequette and Mrs. Valequette worry, OK?" 

Kane also knew that it was better to keep her in the dark for the time being. The two people persuaded Sian and finally brought the reluctant Sian back to the Malcolm Family.

(I will begin calling Sisu as Sian in order not to cause confusion, since basically, the real Sian is dead now.)

Since Sian still has recollection and had all of the real Sian’s memory, she could imitate her and there’s not much of a problem. Besides Sian could basically live all by herself and is a quiet child, at 17, Sian is a peerless beauty and Sian is pretty satisfied with how Sian lived her life normally. The only problem with Sian is her fear of strangers and that she strictly lives in a routine.

Even the time she wakes up is in a routine, the glasses of water she drinks, the time she poops. Just everything. And whenever this routine gets interrupted, she becomes frustrated.

Sian looked at the handsome man before her, medium-length silver almost ash gray hair, bushy brows, long lashes, long and nose, thin pinkish lips with some short stubbles at his chin. His eyes are in the shade of green that almost looked clear in her opinion.

Kane Malcolm is the youngest engineer and handsome sought-after bachelor, he is a rich man but is a typical bad boy. He loves to drink and travel around the place, he also owns his company and managed to make it to the top without the help of his family’s influence.

Kane is rarely at home and that is why his parents were worried that he might get annoyed with Sian once they met. They knew Kane as an impatient and liberated man so they thought he would feel shackled with having Sian around.

Contrary to their expectations, Kane felt extremely good while looking at the meek Sian who had kept her eyes innocently staring at him before she turned her back and sat on the swing once again.

Kane could see that she was reluctant to leave so he decided to wait for her. He sat on the other side of the swing and silently accompanied her. Meanwhile, Sian is having an inner conflict if she should use the man to exact her revenge soon or just watch as he takes her away and brings her to the Malcolm Family’s house and meets her doom or….. She runs away.

Sian nibbled on her lower lip and fought with her brain and heart for a long time but in front of her Nanny Lin and Kane who was adoring her from afar.

In their eyes, the innocent Sian was having trouble with deciding if she should go or not, however, she didn’t have a choice since no one would be able to take care of her especially with a condition like that.

Sian looked at her fingers while fidgeting and playing with the hem of her dress. She was trying to choose amongst the available choices.

After a few considerations, she decided to use Kane as her medium for revenge and stay with the Malcolms.

Kane cleared his throat and looked at Sian with eyes full of expectations.

“Have you decided now Sian?” he asked gently. Sian nodded her head and stood from the swing before she turned to get her violin upstairs.

After she got down, her eyes landed on Kane’s handsome figure who was leaning his back on his car while waiting for her. Sian had to resist the urge to call him handsome and be mindful of her image.

She has to continue pretending as Sian and not cause any suspicion from anyone. Kane opened the car door for her and looked at the violin in her hand that she took a time to ran upstairs to get it.

This Violin has long been with the real Sian since she was still a young girl. If Sian could remember correctly, it was a gift for her from her parents and since it was a little big for her, she had to wait till she grows up and be able to fit it into her body and comfortably play with it.

The violin her parents got her is not just some simple violin, it was the ‘Molitor’ Stradivarius – a dazzling 2.5 million euro worth of money. And yet Sian had no idea that it cost that much, she was too innocent to care about money.

Even though Sian is a smart girl, she cares no less about money since she always got her parents to take care of those things for her.

Since no one is there to care for her family's wealth and Sian is incapable of doing so, her parents left it to her family friend, the Malcolm family, and since both parties trusted and respected each other, not one of them felt insecure and greedy about the money instead they were willing to help out, and that is why Sian could remain as a bonafide princess without stressing about anything.

They soon arrived at Malcolm's mansion that almost resembled that of a castle, it was huge and filled with vast lands all over the place that Sian could get lost to if no one’s with her to guide her.

Besides the Malcolm Family’s eldest son, Kian Malcolm, and his wife, Ynna Malcolm. In front of the couple was another older couple, their father, Brian Malcolm, then mother, Jane Malcolm, and the Malcolm Family’s 5-year-old Young Master, Nico, his twin sister Nicki, were all there. The twins are Kian Malcolm’s children. 

"This is Sian, right?" Jane Malcolm didn't have a girl. So she became fond of Sian, an adorable girl with such a lovable appearance, at a glance. 

Sian was frightened by Jane Malcolm's energy and took cover behind Kane. She didn’t touch him or anything but he could smell the sweet scent of strawberry from her. Kane could not bear but think that she is like an adorable rabbit and to think that she depends on him today like a small child is evoking his desire to protect her.

Out of everybody present here, she was just marginally acquainted with Kane, so she unconsciously chose to trust this man.

More of, she had to earn the man’s pity and care in order to live by and have a peaceful life. As an autistic child in everyone’s eyes, she can’t just barge into their lives and expect them to love her just because she is a family friend’s daughter. Sian needed to earn their trust as well, especially Kane Malcolm’s if she really wanted to take revenge on Khloe.

For now, she has to get into character, which means, she has to grit her teeth and pretend like the meek and innocent Sian.

Jane Malcolm was surprised briefly, and afterward acknowledged — Sian had a mental imbalance. She had seen her unobtrusively following her child and had disregarded this part. 

Thinking about this, and afterward recalling how her companions who had died a couple of days prior, Jane's eyes became more gentle as she looked at Sian. She was thinking of how she could possibly make it up to Sian on behalf of her deceased parents. It must have been so hard for her to think that she lost the only people she loves and trusts so much.

"Come, I've effectively advised the workers to plan supper. I assume you folks haven't eaten at this point." She said cheerfully. She wanted to hold Sian’s hand and treat her like a daughter, but she couldn’t just do that and scare the girl. She has to be patient with her.

However, just then, the Malcolm family discovered something fascinating.

That was, any place Kane went, Sian would likewise follow. Clearly, out of the whole Malcolm Family, she just trusted Kane more. Besides, this immense house caused her to feel exceptionally insecure. She would always stick close to wherever the man goes and would feel panicked whenever the man leaves without a word, making Kane feel helpless.

Sian is just a 17 years old girl and she is about to turn 18 in a few months, however, her actions and train of thoughts resemble that of a child that was why Kane did not feel impatient with her.

But, the Malcolm older couple thought differently. Afraid that her child was feeling irritated, Jane Malcolm exceptionally advised him secretly to appropriately deal with Sian kindly. In her eyes, Kane is a rebellious child, even though he is pretty much a smart child who can live by himself and doesn't need any advice.
