“Uh-huh!” Irene decided to focus on the food and not on the adults after getting Adrian annoyed.

“Take some beef.” Fia picked up a piece of beef and gave it to Eileen, ignoring Conrad.

Eileen got close and whispered, “You told me to give myself a chance. What about you?”

Fia whispered back, “Our situation is different.”

Eileen nodded. “But the kids can’t accompany you forever. The only person that can accompany us is our other half.”

She knew that, of course. But the estrangement of five years couldn’t be dispelled that easily.

Fia quickly got up to greet the person.

When Lucifer came in and saw her, he smiled. “How did you know it’s me?”

“You have the key, of course.” Fia naturally took the bags in his hand.

She looked at it and mumbled, “Why did you buy more blocks for them? They haven’t even finished the ones you bought for them previously.”
