“We did but we aren’t able to get the number. He masks his number every time he calls her,” Tyler answered in frustration.

Conrad answered with a smile, “I see. It’s fine. You go home and be with your family. Let’s stop for now.”

“Wait, you’re not going to interrogate your mother further?”

“It’s no use. She doesn’t know anything.”

Tyler nodded. “Yeah, I think so too. So, what now?”

“Let her live. She’s still my birth mother after all.” Conrad closed his eyes and said, “Send her to a nursing home.”

He did not even want to see her face again. No matter what kind of grudge she had with Garrett Maxwell, she had no reason to take it out on her child. Yet, that was exactly what she did, making his childhood miserable!
