After I showered, I changed to a floral dress with a length above my knee and decided to put on some lotion. My brother suddenly appeared from my door “Alle, what will happen now?” I answered him with the truth that I'm not sure about Chadrick's decision. Nothing happened between us but Dad won’t believe me. But still, I’m so ashamed that they witnessed us under that state. Arrghh!.

“You’re likely to get Dad a heart attack,” he clucked his tongue. “Yeah, I know and I felt sorry for that” I replied wearily.

We were all in the dining to have our breakfast. My Dad, Mom, Andrew, and Chadrick. I chose to sit beside Andrew across from Chad.  No one has ever talked and all that could be heard were clicks of the utensils. I bowed my head and thought, "Jeez! awkward!".

After a few minutes, Dad put his utensils down and placed both his elbows on top of the table as he clasped his hands. “Alle, after breakfast you need to pack your things," he said seriously.

"From now on,  you will move in with Chadrick," I didn't freak out because I heard them in the study. “The incident we witnessed was unacceptable,” Dad strongly added with finality.

“What?" Andrew asked in disbelief. “Yes, Andrew. I agreed to take care of Allesandra from now on," Chadrick answered. "Both of us should be responsible for the consequences of our actions," he added without a hint of humor.

“Isn’t that what you've always wanted, Allesandra?" Dad mocked as I looked at him ashamed and embarrassed. He really knew Chad meant so much to me.  “Dad, please can we just talk first?” I requested.  “There’s nothing to talk about Allessandra," Dad didn’t listen. "You need to stop being childish from now on," he reminded me. "You’re a grown-up, so act as one,” he lessoned.

“Does it mean they are getting married?” confused, Andrew questioned.

“Yes, but I need to sort things first before we could officially announce it," Chadrick was quick to answer. "We'll talk about it again when we get home,” he looked into my eyes but I avoided his gaze.

I looked at my mom beside dad, she was enjoying her breakfast and I saw a hint of a smile on her lips. I couldn't believe mom was happy about the incident. “Alle darling, finish your breakfast, I’ll help you pack your things” astounded, I nodded at her.

Chadrick was the one who carried my luggage downstairs. I only pack two pieces of luggage because he said I don't need to bring a lot since he'll provide for everything. As a good follower, I just packed my favorite kinds of stuff.

We walked through Chadrick's car "I hope you two won’t give me trouble in the future," Dad warned. "I wish you live happily together" we both nodded.

I hugged Mom and she naughtily whispered, “I know you are happy,” I rolled my eyes and pinched her side. I pulled away and she gave me a meaningful smile. Such a cool mom!  Andrew patted my back and we bid goodbye to everyone.

The ride to Chadrick’s place was a bit awkward. No! Not a bit but immensely awkward. He drove silently as he focused on the road and never spared a glance to me or asked anything. I, on the other side, diverted my attention to the window as I enjoyed the view outside. I was afraid to say something and I couldn't focus. I couldn't believe everything happened as quickly as I never imagined.

We arrived at his house which was less than an hour from our place. He carried my stuff in the living room. His helper Mona smiled as she greeted us with a confused look.

“Mona, please bring Alle’s suitcases to the guest room next to mine,” he ordered.  With no questions, Mona instantly carried my stuff. I know where that room is because, for God’s sake, I grew up and spent almost all my time with him. I usually visit him that was why it's obvious I know every corner of his house.

“Alle we need to discuss things," Chadrick got my attention. I looked at him, “Chad, you don’t have to do this,' I shook my head. "I can explain everything to dad," I was trying to negotiate. "Just give me some time to persuade and calm him down," I added but deep inside, I wanted to stay with him.

“Alle, did you see your dad?" he frowned. "He was on the verge of getting a heart attack," he retorted. "If that happened, we're doomed tremendously," my shoulder sagged. I bit you don’t want to lose your dad, right? He questioned strongly. With that, I fearfully nodded at him.

“You will stay in the guest room for the meantime," I kept silent. "Just bear with our situation while I sort things out,' he explained. "I need to figure out ways on how to solve our problems,” he was talking still when suddenly his phone ring.

He excused himself for a moment to answer the call and I believe that was important. “Hello? What? I’ll go there right away” he was startled and shocked. He dropped the call “I need to go to the site, an emergency occurred," he informed me that it was his head supervisor. He said we are not done discussing things between us and we'll talk as soon as he gets back.  "I need to go now. Bye!” he rushed to his car, roared his engine, and drove away.

I moved upstairs and find the room neatly arranged in order. I sat on the bed flabbergasted. I thought "Am I not imagining things?" I couldn't believe Chad and me in one roof. My man, my dreams! Whoa!

I reached for my phone to call my best friend Bella. “Hello, Alle? care to share something?” she was lively. “Bella, you won’t believe what I have to tell you,” I said. “What is it? She responded curiously.

“This is unbelievable!” I replied. “Will you spill it out now?” I rolled my eyes. “Impatient, are we?” I inhaled a deep breath “Chad and I are getting married!” I screamed.

I heard Bella laughed on the other line “Jeez woman! stop daydreaming!" she scoffed. "Drink aspirin for your hangover," still amused by what I disclosed. “I’m not! I’m serious!” I retorted.

“You’re so funny!” she was laughing hard. I paused for a moment “I'm not fooling you, I moved in with him," she stopped. "If you don't believe me, ask my Mom," on the other line, she was silent, and in a few, "Shit!" I heard her uttered.

I sat on my bed and leaned my head at the headboard. I recalled the entire incident that led me to where I am. All I wanted as per Marco’s suggestion was to try to seduce Chad and to only find out about his feelings. I never thought that our plan will turn out the way I wanted it to be. Our stupid plan has caused good and bad results. Good because it was what I wanted and bad because there’s a lot of trouble that may come the way and needs to be sorted. I wondered if Dad will be okay soon. He was so upset and I felt guilty about it. Jeez! I nearly killed my father with a heart attack. I know he was ultra disappointed about my childish act but still, I hope I'll be forgiven soon. I was looking at the ceiling and wondering what will happen to Vanessa. I know he's smitten by that woman and I don't know how will he explain about us to her. I felt worried about what would be our setup or if there will be in our situation. Two weeks have passed and our situation has worsened. Most of the time when I woke up in the morning, he's gone to work. And if he comebacks home, I had already fallen asleep. I sat in the dining to have my breakfast and I felt lonely. I barely touched my food coz I have no appetite. I thought being with him under one roof is a dream come true, but why I felt differently? It isn't what I imagined. What am I really to him? I recalled those kisses we shared intimately, I felt there's something in it like love, lust, and affection. Or I just assumed things the way I wanted them? "No man is too busy for someone he loves, don’t be a fool!” my thoughts mocked me. I got bored at home that I decided to call my brother Andrew to have some lunch out. Thankfully, he agreed and that made me happy a bit. We were sitting in a nearby restaurant and it felt so nice to have someone to talk to. “What are your plans now?" he questioned while waiting for the food to arri

I jumped upstairs to my room without having my dinner. My interest in food has vanished because I felt like my heart was crushed into pieces. I sat on the edge of my bed and reached for my phone to call Bella. “Hello, Alle? What’s up bitch?” she answered cheerfully.I didn’t say a word, instead, I burst into a cry. “What happened?” she asked worriedly. “I can’t endure it anymore," my voice broke. "The hurt is eating me alive," I sniffed."Hey, calm down," she comforted me. "Please, I need you right now," I sobbed non-stop. "Alright," she hushed for me to stop crying. “Pack your things," she muttered. "I’ll book your ticket right away coz you’re coming here to New York,” her tone was serious and authoritative. When she noticed that I didn't respond, "Are you coming or you'll just cry?" she taunted. “Yes, I will," I replied wearily. I rushed and pulled out my important stuff in the closet. Since I came into his house with just two pieces

Chadrick POV After the incident that led us both to live under one roof, I just thought it was a blessing in disguise. Before, I was just chasing Alle as she ran around playing hide and seek. I treated her like a little sister since I am my parent’s only child. I enjoyed her playfulness and wittiness that lightens my day especially when I'm stressed at work. I’m so fond of her mischievous deeds and ways. She was like a happy pill to all of us for her naughtiness. She really wanted to get closed to me that almost every day we've seen each other. Also, she was bratty kiddo and very vocal about marrying me someday. Such a cutie! As time goes by, she gradually grew up into one gorgeous lady. In her teens, as I looked at her, I knew sooner or later she would cause trouble in me. When she reached her legal years, her beauty and shape were evident that in one look you could say she's a stunner. I'm very much aware that a different feeling has grown in my heart

I was prepping to leave the site at 7 when my secretary a 40-year-old Helen rushed to me. I am really thankful for her because she also stayed late at work since the incident happened. I promised to compensate her after we resolved the problem. "Mr. Williams, one of the victims died 15 minutes ago," she reported. She added that the wife requested my presence in the hospital or else she will call the media and inform them about the incident. Right away, I went to the hospital to talk with the wife about her demands in the situation. It was already 10 in the evening and we were still in the midst of a discussion. Truthfully, I felt exhausted and wanted to go home. She won’t agree with our offers and after our lawyer explained some statements from the documents, she got hysterical. We tried to comfort her but she kept on pushing and forcing us. We couldn't blame her as we understood her emotions and the unbearable pain inside her. Suddenly, my

I told them the truth that for me, the incident that put us together in one roof was a blessing in disguise. I apologized to Alex that I made him furious about what happened but I insisted that I wanted her back. I explained that I wasn’t able to admit or express my true feelings for her because I’m afraid that our ties and business would get affected. I’m ashamed of my words to him when I assured him that I will only treat her as my sister. I expounded that from being an adorable kid, she has grown up into a beautiful woman -and that’s undeniable. I tried to distance myself but I failed because I couldn’t suppress my attraction and affection towards her. I couldn’t deal to hold my feelings and I want to marry her. "I love her," I confessed Awed by what I had said, Alex with a parted lips couldn't form any word. “Oh is that so?" Arriana spoke surprisingly. "I am right," she clasped her hands. ***Allessandra*** A year and a half passed and New York helped me a lot to move on. I've been working in Matthew's real estate company because Bella suggested that I should. She explained that it would be a great diversion so that I wouldn't focus on my heartache. Before I accepted her offer, I insisted that I wanted to start from the lower position to understand the business more than to jump into a higher job position. I wanted to learn and have knowledge about business in general. She gave me the position of administrative support with a quite good salary from the company and I felt like she's biased because the salary is too much compared to others. "So how are you?" Bella asked. We were sitting on the couch watching some romance movie. "I mean have you gotten over Chadrick?" she looked me intently in the eyes. “I guess?” I replied reluctantly. “I know you need more time so take it slow," she patted my back. "Eventually you won’t get affected anymore”

Few months passed and everything was just fine. "You ready?" Bella asked while putting on her lipstick. "Yes," I replied because I know she didn't want to get late for work. In a week, I’ll be home for Dad’s birthday and I felt nervous. But before anything else, I needed to sort all my pending documents so that I wouldn't get issues with them when I get back. She suggested we should drop by Gregg’s office before we proceed with our regular work assignments. He is her cousin who helped and trained me when I was just starting my job. She wanted to check on him after he and her fiancé broke up a week ago. The reason was terrible because “Holy mother of crap!” the woman ran away with someone else. We entered the lift and pushed the 17th button. As we reached his floor, we waved and said hi to the receptionist who was full smiles as she saw us approaching. We went towards his office and from the outside, his secretary welcomed us. She knocked at the door and we hear

I was sitting on the couch watching a drama movie - as always because it's my favorite genre when I felt something wet and weird. Chadrick!!! I called my husband when I saw liquid dripping down my legs. He rushed to me and asked if something's wrong. I told him that my water broke and we need to go to the hospital. I could feel the contractions and pain and surely, it was time. He carried me bridal style to the car since the bag we prepared for my delivery was already placed in the compartment. "Are you okay?" he asked when we are in the delivery room because he saw me enduring an excruciating amount of pain. I was lying on the delivery bed sweating hard and wincing in pain with my face tear-stricken. Chad held my hand and planted a kiss on my temple. "Baby, I'm just here, we can do it," he whispered with encouragement. Doctor Howard instructed me to endure one long push and I took a deep breath before doing it. I held my husband's hand and my grip tightened

Six months passed our wedding and we were so busy doing our own thing. I managed to start my own flower shop business and hired a quite number of people. Chadrick has a lot on his plate because of his new projects but he never made it an excuse to not give me attention every day. Indeed, he learned his lesson before and I felt so happy about it. I was sitting on our bed with my head leaning on the headboard while watching a romantic drama movie. I could say that I'm enjoying crunching a bowl of popcorn. The bathroom door was pushed open and Chardrick got out in his towel after a quick shower. Surprisingly, I cried and he came closer in panic. "Baby, what's wrong?" he asked worriedly. I sniffed "The man in the movie cheated on his wife. Why do men cheat?" I was upset looking at him. He hissed "Baby, it's just a movie. Not all men are cheaters," he consoled and caressed my shoulder. "You men always say that but you're all liars," he stunned at my reaction. "You should

I felt so nervous standing in front of the church to walk down the aisle. When the door was pushed open, I started to move forward slowly. Mom and Dad were waiting in the middle for me to reach them and to escort me through the altar. All eyes were on me in my mermaid wedding dress which extremely fitted in my slender figure. The moment I stopped in front of my parents “I can’t believe my baby is getting married,” that was Dad. He was really emotional since the beginning of the day, unlike Mom who couldn't hold her grin in full excitement. When we were nearing the altar, I could see my entourage in full smiles and giggles. When I looked at Chadrick, his lips were trembling and his eyes brimming in tears. He was an undeniably handsome and charming groom in his three-piece suit. In front of him, Dad tapped his shoulder “It’s awkward that from now on, you’ll call your business partner, Dad,” he chuckled while Mom laughed beside me. The priest commenced t

She looked at me like she was hesitant to tell so I brushed it away and changed the topic. "So, how long are you working in the company?" out of my curiosity. "I was employed three weeks ago," she disclosed. I realized that was why she got scolding because she's crawling and not that expert yet. "Anyways, It's so nice to meet you, Faith," I pressed her hand softly "I guess we could be friends from now on," I smiled but she stilled. "I'll be visiting the office often and I'll see you around," I bid goodbye because I knew Chad is waiting for me. When I got back, I saw Chadrick standing beside my table. I smiled at him and asked if he's waiting for too long. He only replied for me to take my time. I picked up my bag for us to go but not before making sure the stuff of Helen was back in proper place neat and clean. No one was able to answer him and they just bowed their heads. “What’s the problem here?” I know he sensed that something’s odd so he introduced me to them. “Everyone, this is Allesandra Taylor, my fiancée," he held my hand "she’s the daughter of Alex Taylor our business partner," he informed calmly. "I just want to let you know that we are getting married soon so you might see her often in this office," he added. All the people in the room were surprised to know me. The woman who was furious a while ago stared at me unable to form a word in disbelief. I saw her face was burning in embarrassment. I was hoping she learned her lesson to not judge people easily and be a good leader to her people. “Baby, you’re just here," he pulled me out of that room. "I thought something happened to you because you're not answering your phone,” he sounded worried. "Sorry I left my phone on my table" I apologized briefly. I hurriedly called Bella after reading her message and she quickly picked it up in two rings. "Spill the tea!" I sounded lively but I heard her breathed out. "Marco's girl left without a trace and he's devastated," she unveiled. We talked for few more minutes and I shared my observation about him before I left New York. I was right that he's in a dilemma over his woman. But I believed he could definitely overcome his pain and eventually move on because he's a strong person. *** It was my first day to assist Chadrick in his office and I find everything running smoothly. "What is it, Helen?" he asked right away. She narrated that her daughter was rushed to a hospital because she's about to give birth. She said her due date will fall not until next week but it's happening so soon. Chadrick permitted her to take a break and help her daughter in the meantime because the husband was out for his navy duties. She thanked Chadrick for his understanding and compassion. She did not waste more time and left the office immediately. Chadrick sat down to his executive chair and sighed. Worry was clearly visible on his face "What's wrong?" I caressed his arm. He pulled me to sit on his lap "It's hard to work without Helen's help for two weeks," he sniffed on my neck. I hummed "I can help in her absence," I sounded playful. I felt ashamed and if my feeling could kill, I would definitely be six feet under the ground. I thanked God for giving me a cool mom but I never expected him to give me the coolest one. Or I might say the craziest mom one could ever have. I shook my head and buried my face in the palm of my hands. I was really tired after shopping with Mom. I went home and wallowed in a bubble bath while waiting for Chad to get home. I leaned my head on the headrest with my eyes closed and thought about the happenings in my life. Being happy was an understatement and what I felt is beyond it. It’s true that every relationship has its problems, but what makes it triumphant is if you still want to be together when things go wrong. I knew there were times that I’m actually hard to be with but still, he chose me. He fell in love with my childish behavior and I was really thankful that he kept me despite many reasons not to. I have a lot of flaws and shortcomings that could definite
