Chapter 4

Courage

Devine cleared her throat. She avoids moaning. Napalunok rin siya ng bahagya habang nakatingin sa lalaki na nasa harapan niya.

Staring into a pair of eyes was like staring into a pair of fierce eagle-like dark eyes.

"Are you deaf?" the man's dark tone asked her seriously.

She stiffened because of the man's dark gaze. Her long eyelashes flustered.

"Um... Mr. I'm... I'm very sorry if I barge your hotel suit." she stammered.

He narrowed his eyes while sizing her whole appearance. "What do you need?"

"I..." she cleared her throat again, trying to surpass her uncomfortable feelings. "Um... Mr. Can I borrow your bathroom? Can I go and take a bath?" lakas loob na siyang makiusap sa lalaki dahil sa hindi na niya kayang pigilan pa ang panginginig ng buo n'yang kalamnan.

"No."

"But... Mr. I badly need—"

"Get out!" he darkly howl.

"Yes. But, I need to go shower."

"Woman! Stop using such a trick on me." He said narrowing his eyes.

"No. I'm not!" she retorted. Her face burning in shame.

His eyebrows furrowed. "I don't have time for your trick. Now, get out."

She shook her head while frowning. Napapapikit, napapahingal at bahagyang napapaungol siya sa mga sari-saring kanyang nararamdaman.

"How many times have I told you that I'm not!" naiinis at napalakas ang boses na wika niya rito. "I just need to take a shower right now. That's all!"

His jaw tightened. He sensed the helplessness of the woman in front of him. But still, he will not be going to let her deceive or seduce him just like that. For him, she's the same as the woman who wanted to seduce him through their looks.

"I'm not going to fall into your trap."

"Bakit ba ayaw mo maniwala?!"

"Do not let me repeat it. I said, get out!" his voice full of warning and impatient.

"Bakit ba ang damot mo? I swear, I'm not seducing you, Mr.! Makikigamit lang talaga ako ng banyo mo." wika niya sa nanginginig na tinig.

Nauubusan ng pasenya at nilapitan niya ang babae. Agad namang kinabahan si Devi dahil sa pagdilim ng mukha at mga mata ng lalaki.

"You are really trying to run out my patience."

"Please... I'm begging—" she instantly stiffened when the man grabbed her arm. "No. Don't touch me!" she pushed him and pulled her arm against him.

The man was instantly astonished by her burning body. Biglang nangunot ang kanyang noo habang nakatingin ng mariin rito.

Devine struggled. If possible she did not want to have body contact with this man. Because of her helpless situation, if this man came closer, she couldn't really stop herself from pulling him and kissing him to relieve the desire she was trying to suppress.

Her body was really in pain. She started sweating. Her heart rapidly throbbing. Her face burnt red. Her eyes are full of desires.

Out of energy, she slowly walked backward.

She helplessly leaned against the door.

She hardly closed her eyes.

Bumuntong hininga siya ng paulit-ulit hanggang sa naglakas-loob na siyang dumilat muli.

Her eyes filled with lust was gazing at the man.

"Please... I'm begging you. Please, let me use your shower room." Nanghihinang pagmamakaawa pa rin niya rito.

He deeply looked at her. He was sizing her again. From the looks of it, there is really something wrong with the woman.

"Your body is burning. Are you having a high fever?" tanong ng lalaki kay Devi.

Devi pursed her lips. Not wanting to explain her situation. Because all she needs to do is to take off all her clothing and take a cold shower.

"What exactly is happening to your body?"

A chill ran down her whole body as the man asked her a serious question.

She blinked. She wondered if she should let the man know what she was going through.

"Are you going to tell me or will I throw you out of my suite?!" he said.

A stubborn and courageous Devine Miller trembled in fear as this man howled and threatened her.

She gritted her teeth.

"You talk or I throw you out?!"

"How dare you to threaten me!" Hindi na niya mapigilan ang paguumalsang galit sa mga oras na iyon.

She had already lost face at the time when she was begging him.

He clenched his jaw as he hardly looked at her.

He was running out of patience.

Nakita ni Devi ang mas pagdilim ng mga mata nito. Bago pa man nito isagawa ang banta sa kanya na itapon s'ya palabas ay nagsalita na agad siya.

"I'm being drugged," her helpless and gasping voice heard.

No more words coming from him. He gazes at her a bit startled.

"Is it true?" the man lowered his tone at that time while looking intently at her face.

"Yes. I'm not lying. Don't throw me out. I need your help." her voice trembled.

He pursed his thin lips.

"I'm... begging you. Please, let me take a cold shower in your bathroom." Patuloy pa rin siyang nagmamakaawa rito. For her, it's better to beg at those critical moments. "I can't take it anymore. The drug is already affecting my body. It's terrifying. Help me..." she begs again and again.

Mariin siyang huminga habang marrin ring pumikit. Mariin na rin niyang kinagat ang kanyang ibabang labi dahil sa nag-uumalsang init ng buong katawan.

When he hears and sees her helplessness, he immediately drags her inside the bathroom.

The woman instantly moaned when he was holding her arms. He froze when her hands held his arms tightly.

"I feel pain..." she finally can't hold her growling tone.

The man didn't respond and just ignored her.

Bago pa man mawala sa katinuan si Devi ay agad na niyang tinulak ng mariin ang katawan ng lalaki palayo sa kanya. She still wanted to endure it.

"Get lost!" she shouted.

"What are you doing?!" the man instantly got angry when his back hit the wall of the bathroom.

"Get away from me!"

"You are shameless. Who insisted and barged my territory?" he showed his annoyance.

She pursed her lips but she retorted. "Yes, I'm shameless. But I'm sorry. Please, get out. Now!" her tone whether apologetic or not apologetic.

He frowned at her. His dark eyes were fierce at the woman's eyes. Slowly, he shook his head and left.

Devi heaved a sigh of relief.

Agad rin siyang kumilos. Ini-lock niya ang banyo saka niya binuksa ang shower.

The owner of the hotel suite gazed at the closed door. Iniisip pa rin niya kung nagsasabi nga ng totoo ang babae na ito.

'Huh. She dared to barge my territory!'

'How dare she push me just like that?'

'Is she really telling the truth?'

'Or she was trying to deceive me?'

'Huh. What a trick!'

In his mind, if this woman is trying to deceive him. She will really know what's good for her. He will not take her off the hook.

An icy dangerous grin playing on the corner of his lips while still looking at the bathroom door.

'Let's see if she was telling the truth.'

He gets the phone and calls someone.

The call is connected after a five-ring.

"Hugo Ivanov, what's up?" a voice from the other line heard.

"I need you," Hugo said.

"You need me?" ang nagtatakang tanong ng kabilang linya. "Hey, I thought you called the wrong person. I'm not your assistant."

"I'm in the H five-star Hotel. Come here immediately." Hugo said, ignoring the sarcastic words on the other line.

"Do you know who you are calling?" the man asked in surprise.

"Lacyd Forb! Are you an idiot?"

"Hey, hey, hey... Okay. Wait, are you sick?" on the other line, Lacyd Forb frowned because he could not believe that the cold and fierce eagle CEO Hugo would call him at late night for help.

'Is he seriously ill?' Lacyd thought.

"No. I'm not." Hugo's cold response.

"Then why do you need me? I'm a doctor, not your assistant who is always carrying your paperwork." ang nagtataka pa ring wika ni Lacyd.

"Stop asking. Just come here quickly. And... please bring some medicine for lowering sex drive."

"W-what. What?" a very loud voice echoed on the other line. "Who the hell dared to drug you?"

"Stop your mouth shut and hurry up. Now, I'm hanging up!"

Hugo didn't let Lacyd's question bombard him.

He put her phone in his pocket after hanging up. Bahagya siyang lumapit sa tapat ng pinto ng banyo. Hindi niya alam kung kakatukin ba niya o hindi ang tao na nasa loob.

His eyebrows furrowed when he heard some soft panting sounds inside the bathroom.

Nagtatakang kinatok niya ito ngunit walang sagot mula sa loob.

He leaned against the wall. After 10 minutes he knocked again. Ngunit wala pa ring sagot.

"Hey, Miss. Are you okay?" bahagya niyang tanong.

Muli ay walang sagot.

Nangunot ang noo at bahagyang pinihit niya ang seradura. He then learns that the door is locked.

"Miss. If you do not talk, I open this door," he said. Ngunit wala pa ring sagot.

He frowned and his jaw tightened.

'If she's really being drugged... surely, her state was not fine.'

Bumuntong-hininga siya at nagpasyang kuhanin ang susi ng banyo. Iniisip niya kung ano mang masamang mangyari sa babae na nasa loob ay kargo pa ng kanyang konsensya.

A click sound is heard in the quiet corner of the shower.

He pushed the door. Instantly, his dark eyes met her burning eyes.

"H-help me... I can't take this anymore." her state looked miserable.

His eyes that cold slowly fading. He didn't know what to do. He just stared at the pitiful woman soaking in the cold shower.

Devi's trembling body couldn't stop the desire that she was enduring.

She continuously panting while staring at the man. Until she found her courage. If she didn't do anything she would suffer even more.

Her legs finally moved and stepped forward.

She tiptoed, hooked his neck with her arms, pulled him, and kissed him deeply.
