Meeting Adiyan

Karica's POV

I settled in the faraway seat from him. His imposing presence was something I wanted to avoid, even for a few hours if that was possible. My heart hurt as if someone had filled it with thorns. I was an emotional wreck, stuck with a man I had wronged because I didn't want a mate like him in the first place.

Closing my eyes I let the pain wash over me. Memories of Adiyan swirled in my brain while the scent of my mate infused every inch of my body. I could hear the steady beat of his heart even when he was sitting a few seats away from me and was busy on a call, giving instructions.

A memory suddenly hit me. It was two years ago and although I had been living with Adiyan and Hasrim's family for a year now, I avoided him.

My brother met Hasrim years ago when he went to a summer camp in the East Continent. They became best pals in the three months they spent together but kept their friendship discreet.
