Charlie lowered his head dejectedly. "I never thought I would be so useless. I can't even help you with something as simple as your cut."

"Charlie, don't say that. Once your leg recovers, you'll be able to move more freely." Meredith passed him the band-aid.

"Come, help me with it."

Charlie accepted the band-aid and carefully wrapped it around her wound.

"Lily said that Josiah had an important meeting that night. He hasn't got off work yet."
