Chapter 63

"It's Josiah Shelby…"

Meredith was stammering, saying his name.

But Zade did not listen to her and got out of the car together with her.

Meredith turned around to face him and bellowed, "Zade Brooks! Did you not hear what I say? What are you doing out here?"

Standing right next to her, Zade placed his arm around her shoulders and said, "Merelyn, what would that make of me if I were to leave you here all alone? Don't worry, as long as I'm here, I will protect you with all my life."

Though Meredith was touched, she felt more worried for Zade.
