When Riley Monroe's mother vanishes overseas, she’s left alone in a penthouse with her powerful stepfather, Ethan Carter, and his arrogant son, Nathan. The two men have always been untouchable—wealthy, ruthless, and far out of her reach. But as the household balance shifts, so does the tension between them. Ethan is strict, dominant, and impossible to defy. Nathan is reckless, teasing, and utterly irresistible. Both men have dark desires lurking beneath their polished exteriors, and Riley is dangerously close to uncovering them. One night at an underground club changes everything. When Ethan bails Riley from a bad situation, his control over her becomes absolute. Now, the rules have changed. Now, she belongs to him. And Nathan also wants her. She should be afraid. She should resist. But when two powerful men want to claim her… how can she possibly say no?

Chapter 1

chapter 1

It was a Sunday evening the sound of heels clicking against marble echoed through the penthouse like the ticking of a countdown clock. My mother barely spared me a glance as she adjusted the diamond bracelet on her wrist, her silk dress clinging to her curves, looking every bit the wealthy socialite she was.

“Be good, Riley,” she said, her voice dripping with indifference. “And don’t cause trouble for Ethan.”

Trouble. That was all she ever thought of me as. Not her daughter. Not someone she should love or protect. Just a burden, an inconvenience standing between her and her jet-setting life.

“I won’t promise,” I muttered under my breath, arms crossed as I leaned against the doorway.

She sighed, exasperated, before turning to Ethan, her husband of three years. “Make sure she follows the rules,” she instructed. “No parties. No skipping school. No running off with boys.”

A smirk tugged at my lips as I met Ethan Carter’s unreadable gaze. He stood tall, a commanding presence in a tailored suit that fit his broad frame like a second skin. With his sharp jawline, graying temples, and piercing blue eyes, he was the kind of man women whispered about in hushed voices, the kind of man who never had to raise his voice to make you obey.

I hated that he looked at me like I was just another thing to control.

“I’ll handle her,” Ethan replied smoothly, his voice calm yet firm.

My mother seemed satisfied with that. She pulled on her coat, grabbed her designer handbag, and without another word, walked out the door.

And just like that, she was gone.

The air in the penthouse shifted, the weight of her absence pressing down on me like an iron grip. The realization hit hard—she wasn’t coming back anytime soon. Maybe never. I was stuck here, under Ethan’s rules, in his home, in his world.

I exhaled slowly, pushing off the doorway, ready to lock myself in my room for the night, when a low chuckle stopped me.

“You should have at least pretended to care,” Nathan’s voice drawled lazily from the couch.

I turned my head, glaring at him. My stepbrother lounged with a cocky grin, his long legs spread out, an expensive whiskey glass in hand. He was everything I despised—rich, arrogant, and born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His dark hair was tousled, his sharp features unfairly attractive, and his eyes, a shade lighter than Ethan’s, danced with amusement.

“Why would I pretend?” I shot back. “She didn’t even look at me.”

Nathan hummed as he took a slow sip of his drink, his gaze flickering over me in a way that made my skin heat. “Well, princess, welcome to your new life. Just the three of us now.”

The way he said it sent an unfamiliar shiver down my spine.

I tore my eyes away from him and turned toward Ethan, expecting some kind of parental intervention. But he simply stood there, watching us both with that same unreadable expression.

I hated that.

I hated the way he could be so composed, so unaffected, while I was unraveling.

“You’re both assholes,” I muttered before storming off to my room.

---

The penthouse was too quiet at night.

I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, feeling the emptiness of the space swallow me whole. I should have been used to it—being alone, being unwanted—but something about tonight made my chest ache.

I turned onto my side, the sheets cool against my bare thighs.

It was too hot in here.

Too suffocating.

Throwing off the covers, I got up, wearing only my tiny sleep shorts and an oversized shirt that barely covered anything. I wasn’t thinking when I stepped out into the hallway, wasn’t thinking when I padded barefoot toward the kitchen for water.

I should have been thinking.

Because the moment I turned the corner, I froze.

Nathan sat at the kitchen island, shirtless, sweatpants hanging low on his hips, a smirk forming as he spotted me.

“Well, well,” he murmured, his eyes dragging down my body with lazy interest. “Look who couldn’t sleep.”

I swallowed, suddenly aware of how little I was wearing. “Get over yourself,” I muttered, stepping past him toward the fridge.

But then I felt it.

A shift.

A presence.

I turned my head, my stomach flipping as I met Ethan’s gaze.

He stood in the dimly lit doorway, arms crossed, eyes locked onto me with an intensity that made my pulse spike.

Something unspoken lingered in the air.

Thick. Heavy. Dangerous.

And when he finally spoke, his voice was low, commanding, and utterly terrifying.

“You should learn to wear something more appropriate around here, Riley.”

I gripped the water bottle in my hand, feeling my throat go dry, my pulse hammering as I return to my room.

The father and son duo makes me want to puke most times.

I drink out of the bottle and I place it on the chest close to my bed. I tried pushing their thoughts out of my mind and replace it with the big party that was to take place tomorrow night.

Actually, I am lesbian, or so I want to believe. Leslie initiate me Into that last Friday and I enjoy every bit of it. Tomorrow I will be introduced to others in lesbian community.

Although, I can't deny the fact that I am attracted to other gender, but I want to remain a lesbian, because, my dad have always been an asshole. He cheats on my mother every now and then until she no longer care about his absence and this led to me losing my caring and friendly mother to wild night life and all.

I close my eyes to try to imagine my first time with Leslie, it was the best time ever. She pleasured me with so many toys in the school toilet before Sandra, the school cheerleader came in with her groups. We had to stop it at that it was so nice and I look forward to having more with her.

My mother knew nothing about me, all she thought of me is that I am as useless as my father. As if I care.

Tomorrow is the day I will finally lose my virginity to Leslie In the after party as planned.

"Ouch! I am damn wet."

chapter 2
Mondays were always dull, but today felt worse than usual. Maybe it was the rain pattering against the windshield or the heavy silence that stretched between Nathan and me as he drove. My mother had taken the personal driver for her European trip, leaving me stuck with him.Not that I cared. I was used to her cold departures by now.Nathan, on the other hand, was a different kind of irritation—one I couldn’t ignore. His presence felt like static in the air, an itch beneath my skin that I couldn’t scratch."Be a good girl in school today, okay?" His voice was casual, but it grated on me.I scoffed. "Excuse me? Who do you think you are to say that to me?""Relax." He smirked. "Just trying to be nice. After all, your mom doesn't give a damn about you."I clenched my jaw, gripping the edge of my skirt. He had no right to say that—even if it was true."Riley, I care about you," he continued, voice softer. "Give me a chance to show you love."I didn’t reply. Instead, I slipped my headphones

chapter 3
The ride home from the police station was suffocating. Ethan hadn’t said a word since bailing me out, but the tension in the air was thick enough to choke on. His hands gripped the steering wheel, knuckles white, his jaw set in a hard line. I crossed my arms, shifting uncomfortably in my seat, still feeling the adrenaline from earlier. The fight, the club, Leslie, the cops—everything had spiraled out of control. And now, I was facing the consequences. When we pulled into the driveway, he finally spoke. “Inside. Now.” His voice was calm, but there was an edge to it that made my stomach tighten. I didn’t argue. Not yet. The house was eerily silent as I stepped inside. The moment the door shut behind us, Ethan’s voice sliced through the quiet. “The police had a lot to say about you tonight,” he began, slipping off his coat and tossing it onto the couch. “Drinking. Fighting. Getting arrested. And, apparently…” He turned to face me, his piercing eyes locking onto mine. “Your

I wake up late in the afternoon, still feeling tired from previous BDSM sex with Ethan and my hand search the other side of the bed, Ethan isn’t there. I was in his room, the room he shared with my mother. Ethan is a very rough man. No wonder mother is always screaming while sexing with him. Just as I was about to get out of bed, I felt someone touching my legs, and kisses follows. "Ouch"… Riley Seal Good morning to you. Nathan said, that was when I noticed he is stack naked. I was shocked.Staring at his 9 inches massive, intimidating, monstrous, overwhelming, dangerously big dick, "What are you doing here, and how the fuck do I get here??" I ask, ignoring the pleasure and teasing. "Father left for business meeting earlier, and he called in sick for you in school." He said, ignoring my question, still planting little kisses all over me. I feel my pussy yearning for him even when I am so tired from the last activity. Ah...ah...fu..ck. I moan. "Feeling that." He ask

chapter 5
Ethan sat at the long conference table, his fingers drumming impatiently against the surface as the shareholders continued their endless bickering. His mind wasn’t fully present. The voices around him seemed to fade into a dull hum. He was far more preoccupied with Riley. His thoughts wandered back to the way she had looked at him earlier, her uncertainty clouding her usual confidence making her irresistable. It unsettled him, but he couldn’t afford to show it. Not here, not now. "Mr. Kensington, we need your input on the pricing strategy for the upcoming quarter," one of the shareholders insisted, snapping Ethan out of his thoughts. He glanced up, offering a tight-lipped smile. "We’ll be adjusting our margins to stay competitive, but don’t mistake that for a sign of weakness," Ethan said, his voice steady but firm. "We’re leading this market. I want that reflected in the numbers, not just the rhetoric. We’re not cutting corners. We’re setting new standards." The room fell sil

chapter 6
A week had passed since that chaotic night, and I was finally back at school. Walking through the hallways felt different, heavier, as if everyone had something to say but chose to whisper it behind my back instead. Their stares lingered, and though I tried to ignore them, the weight of their judgment clung to me like a second skin. I reached my locker, exhaling as I twisted the lock. Just as I pulled out my books, a familiar voice called out. “Riley!” I stiffened before turning around. Leslie was rushing toward me, her long blonde hair bouncing with each step. Behind her, a few of our friends hovered, unsure if they should approach or give us space. Before I could react, Leslie threw her arms around me, squeezing tight before pulling back. “I was so worried about you,” she said, her voice softer than usual. “I should have called, but I—” “You didn’t,” I cut in, my voice even. She bit her lip, guilt flashing in her eyes. “I know. I should have. And I should’ve been there for yo

Chapter 7
The morning sunlight creeps into my room, painting golden streaks on the walls, but it does nothing to warm the cold, empty space inside me. My body still hums from last night, my skin still tingles where Nathan touched me, and my lips still burn from where his mouth had been.We were so close to getting caught. The thought sent a shiver down my spine, but it wasn’t fear—it was excitement. I should be terrified. I should be ashamed. But all I could think about was how his breath had felt hot against my skin, how his grip sent a thrill through my body, and how dangerously close we were to being caughtIt wasn’t like the first time we had sex—wild, reckless, completely out of control.Last night was different. It was desperate. Frustrated.I press my thighs together, trying to calm the heat stirring between them.I had wanted him to take me again. To claim me the way only he could. But instead, he had given me something even crueler. His hands. His mouth. His patience. He made me beg.A

---Nathan's pov---Later That Evening. The jet ride was smooth, but my mind was chaos. Not with my mind stuck on Riley.I could still feel her, still taste her in the back of my throat. Last night had been nothing but rough, desperate need, and yet, I knew we both wanted more. More than rushed touches in the shadows. More than stolen moments filled with heat and regret.I needed to be inside her.But now, I was here—thousands of miles away from her—stuck on a business trip with the one man I hated more than anyone in the world.I sat beside him for hours, the bastard I had resented, pretending I wasn’t seconds away from slitting his throat.Ethan. My father. The man who was fucking Riley. My Riley.I had seen it again and again. The soundproof walls of our house weren’t enough to keep out the muffled screams, the cruel groans, the sharp snap of leather against bare skin.I had caught them.Over and over. Each time, I told myself I would do something. That I would stop it. But I neve

(First-person POV — Nathan’s perspective)---The Business Meeting.By the time Ethan and I arrived at the conference hall, I had barely reined in my rage. The confrontation from the night before still clawed at my mind, but I knew better than to let it show. Business was war in its own way, and showing weakness—whether emotional or physical—was unacceptable.Ethan, as always, was in control. He strode into the boardroom with an air of authority, his tailored suit perfectly pressed, his expression unreadable. I followed closely, adjusting my cufflinks and keeping my own mask firmly in place. The boardroom was a statement of power—mahogany walls, a massive glass table, and sleek leather chairs. The shareholders were already seated, their sharp gazes shifting toward us as we entered. Blackwood Enterprises didn’t just attract wealthy investors; it attracted sharks.Ethan took his seat at the head of the table, effortlessly commanding attention. I sat beside him, maintaining my own presen

(First-person POV — Nathan’s perspective)--The restaurant Eleanor had chosen was high-class, the kind of place where chandeliers glowed dimly over white tablecloths and the soft hum of a string quartet filled the space. It was the perfect setting for a first date.I adjusted my cufflinks, waiting as I sipped a glass of top-shelf bourbon.Eleanor’s daughter, Celeste Vance, was beautiful. There was no denying that. Golden blonde hair, deep green eyes, full lips painted a shade of red that matched the wine in her glass. She had the kind of elegance that came from generations of wealth, the kind that could make any man sit up and take notice.Any man but me.She was speaking, and I was nodding at all the right moments, but my mind…My mind was somewhere else.Somewhere with someone else. She laughed, a soft, melodic sound. “You’re a very good listener.”I smirked, taking another sip of bourbon. “It’s a skill.”She leaned forward slightly, twirling the stem of her wine glass between her
