MORRIS POV

Coming out from the bathroom, I walked into the bedroom, I’ve missed my king-sized bed for long, my back ached to lay on the soft bed. I let myself fall on the bed, it felt so good to finally be on the bed, I covered the blanket, I let my mind wander to nurse Patricia, it was hard not to think about her, she was the only person I looked forward to seeing every morning, for the past ten, or eleven days (give or take), she had a way of erupting smiles from people’s faces, well except for Dave, those two behave like cat and dog, sometimes it’s a wonderful sight to behold, seeing two people passionate about their jobs, I smile at the thought of them. I stretched to turn of the lamp by my bed. The whole environment was so silent; I could hear the tick of my table clock, it’s always been like this, but because I had slept in the hospital for a number of days, that was always busy, even at night, it felt strange being home again, where I slept in quietness. I wasn’t feeli

Patricia stood up abruptly, from where she was seating in the cubicle and rushed to get to the entrance door. She is of average height, she has a dark straight hair which was always tied into a ponytail behind her head. She is light skinned, with chubby cheeks. The morning light crawled into her room. Sleepily, she laid in her dreamy haze wondering about that thing she had always been wondering about these few days. Pushing back the covers, she felt the cool breeze caress her skin, rousing her into wakefulness. Opening her eyes, it landed on the old clock that hung above her dresser."Oh gosh am getting late for work" she practically screamed at herself, rushing to the bathroom to get ready for the day.~~~Patricia and Nne, entered the Emergency room, where the teenage boy laid. His eye lids slowly tore apart, his eyes accommodating the brightness that illuminated the white room, using his eye to scan the room, his pupils more dilated than usual.Patricia smiled “you are in the hospital you had an accident” saving him from the stress of pouring out the questions probably running through his head. The teenager wore a mask of worry on his face. All he could think of was his son who was now said to have Amnesia. Was it total or partial? Would his be able to recognize him even tho things weren't rosy between them? He heaved a sigh as he buried his face in between his palm. Dave stood at the corridor, as Patricia walked up to him. “what did you think you are doing Patricia?” he asked her with a death glare. If looks could kill, Patricia would definitely have been six feet under by then. “I don’t understand sir, doing what?” she asked with an innocent but confused look,

The door opened, revealing an adorable teenage girl, she tied her black curly hair in a bun. She smiled, lightly, revealing a pair of braces in her teeth. Then she walked in and closed the door behind her, Christopher’s eye gleamed with joy, as the teenage girl approached the bed, with some elegance in her walking steps, but worry on her face, she felt sorry for Christopher. • Stay With Me    Chapter Fourteen

PATRICIA'S POVI woke up my usual time, 5am, to prepare for work, I forgot I was suspended from work, my body was already accustomed to waking up this early to prepare for work, but not today, I had no idea what I would do today. So many thoughts ran through my mind, should I go out? Even if I wanted to, I had no place to be, I was a loner, my job made me keep away from any form of friendship, I gave my life to this job, it gave me satisfaction, the kind that so many people are deprived from at their jobs. I sat up on the bed, and leaned on the headboard, then I began to reflect on what actually happened yesterday, and the day before, the life changing moments of my life. I expected a query, because Dave said so, and then I got a suspension, signed by Dave, that man has really got it in for me, I shook those thoughts of my head, if I thought about it too much, I might begin to have suicidal thoughts, that I didn’t want, because I might not know how to handle them.
