And there was also something known as keeping someone out of a scene.Bringing someone into a scene simply meant acting in a way that the person you were acting with or against would believe in your acting so much that it would make them forget they were acting.It was the ability to bring out the true uniqueness of a character in the person you were acting with. Only really good actors could do that.As for keeping someone out of a scene; it was just as the name implied. It simply meant overshadowing the person you were acting with or against.
