Third Person's POV
Ved nodded and Mayra stepped out of the balcony. Ved just stood there shocked at what just happened a moment ago.
‘Mayra loves me!’ He exclaimed happily.
Third Person's POV"Moving on to the next slide, here we can check on the risks we would be taking in this deal," "Not only the location for import will be an increase of costs, but we might also face some climatic challenges," "Adding to that, we would need a warehouse build in the southern parts nearby Mumbai to cut renting expenses," "Mr. Dhruv, have you made this presentation?" Mayra asked sitting on the head chair of the conference room spinning the paperweight with her thin fingers. One might think that her concentration was not at all on the person giving the presentation because she wasn't even looking at the screen or him but was fully indulged in the spinning contest. "Miss Sinha I haven't prepared it myself but my team has," He replied with a sense of accomplishment. Every person present in the conference room was impressed with the details of the presentation and the ideas for the new project. "That's great but have you supervised your team?" Mayra asked starin
"Jay!" Mayra mimicked him the same way while he sighed taking another glass to pour his favorite drink. "So what brings you here?" Mayra asked Jay who was busy looking at the different options to drink. "Do I need a reason to meet you?" He replied sitting on the couch with his drink. "I mean what brings you to Delhi, you idiot!" Mayra responded with a chuckle. "Your love," Jay responded playfully while Mayra rolled her eyes. "Should I be worried of another outbreak between you and someone, not so important?" Mayra asked him giggling. "Oh Come on Mayra. It was almost four years back!" Jay said pouting and Mayra started laughing loudly. "Seems like yesterday though. Idiot!" Mayra replied remembering the day. -------------------FLASHBACK--------------------- Song- At my worst by Pink Sweats. "These are the details you asked Miss Mayra," Mr. Bhatt entered Mayra's room giving her a few pieces of paper."This is interesting!" Mayra exclaimed reading them. Her lips curled reading the contents all of a sudden."You only have to ask you know!" Jay knocked on her door and Mayra turned to look at him who was comfortably leaning at her door frame. She stopped smiling and gave him a hard stare."What makes you think I would trust what you say?" Mayra replied looking back in the documents."That document wouldn't tell you everything you know," Jay said and Mayra sighed closing the file. "Really? Why don't you tell me what's not in here then Mr. Jaykant Singh Rathore?" Mayra walked towards him shoving the documents to his chest and stepped out of her room with a chuckle."First of all, Call me Jay..." Jay wined and followed her out."And secondly, thank you for saving my life today. I owe you one..." Jay spoke but Mayra stopped walking and turned towards him."You saved my life once
"Mr. Saraaf, I am not sure about the terms in section four point seven. We cannot really sign on disclosure of full financial details," Jay started looking at the sample contract in front of him."Oh come on Jay, you can trust me!" Mr. Sharaf mumbled with a smile but Jay sighed."What do you think Ved?" Jay asked staring at Ved's emotionless face."It doesn't work that way, Mr. Sharaf," Ved stated authoritatively."Okay let me see what can be done in that matter then," Mr. Saraf announced and stood up dismissing the meeting."Hope to make this deal a quick one!" Jay stated shaking Mr. Sharaf's hand professionally and Ved joined the gesture afterward."Why? Do you have something planned up?" Ved asked when Mr. Sharaf was not in sight."Since when do you care?" Jay joked checking the papers.Jay knew well enough to know that Ved was jealous of the sight he saw a few minutes back but he wanted to drag it more. 'Even after all this time? I wonder if he would reply Always. That would be e
~Shadow by Triplo Max~ "When I am standing near you, I can't get my words out like I fear you, Being in your sh-" Ved walked into the club which was filled with bodies. Bodies, because no one seemed to be sober. No freaking way anyone would dance like that! Shrugging his judgment on the choice of place Jay chooses to chill, he sat on a barstool glancing at his surroundings. "What can I get for you?" The bartender asked Ved nicely. A short glimpse at Ved and one would understand that he has never been in such a place before. He was wearing his formal suit and that too an expensive one. The bartender knew he can get an impressive tip if he serves him well. "Anything that can get me to stay this place for a while..." Ved said creasing his brows. This kind of place is definitely not what he would wanna be but he knows Mayra would be here and he needed to see her again. After the meeting, he has been restless when he got to know how close Jay is to Mayra. He just wanted to make s
Mayra's world stopped at the moment when Ved's smiling face came into her view. Nothing seemed to be important enough around her, nothing really mattered. The pool of emotions she was hiding from halted her mind like a gush of strong wind. After all these years, this was the first time she was seeing him in person which made all those memories rushing back to her. Her mind was in turmoil of all those times she spent with him. The good and the bad, all came as one.At first, she thought she is seeing things and Ved is not really with her but when she saw him giving a card to the bartender, it cleared that he is here for real! She kept staring at him like she has seen a ghost. Everyone was waiting for her reaction or command on what she wanted to do with the guy but nothing came out of her mouth.Jay slowly took the gun from her hands and gestured to Mr. Bhatt to take the guy out disturbing Mayra's thoughts. She came back to reality and one by one noticed her surroundings. It was like s
“Don’t be clingy now!” Mayra mumbled poking Jay with her elbow looking straight in his face with a smile. Her smile wasn’t very convincing for him as he knew she is just acting right now so that he doesn’t worry.Mayra is the kind of person who would always put others before her. He has never seen her doing anything for herself which is why he is always there for her. Since the day they became friends, he made sure she is his priority as she would never be hers...------------Flashback--------"Leaving so soon Mr. Jaykant Singh Rathore? Mayra murmured standing at the entrance of Jay's room while he was packing some documents along with his stuff."For god's sake call me Jay!" He whined like a small kid and sat on the bad sighing."Okay, Okay, Mr. Grumpy pants!" She chuckled and walked inside to sit beside him. She stole a glance at the papers he was holding and smiled. She snatched the documents from his hand and read them. It was related to a legal organization that Mr. Shah had."I
Jay talked to Bharti for a little while and then moved to his room for a shower. After taking a quick shower, he walked towards Mayra’s room to check up on her but saw that her door was slightly open. He peeked in to find Mayra in her bed sleeping peacefully. He got in and glanced at her calm face. She was wrapped in a comforter and luckily, she was sleeping without a worry in the world.A smile made its way on his face looking at her but soon vanished when he noticed a handkerchief with blood strains on her hand. He glanced around and saw glass pieces shattered on the floor. The furry carpet was now stained with wine and blood making him take a deep breath.‘So much for I am okay…’ He mumbled to himself crossing her brows and walked out of her room. He returned back a couple of minutes later with a first aid box.Sitting on the loveseat near her bed, he carefully unwrapped the handkerchief from her hand without waking her up. His nose flared looking at the deep cut her hand had.He c
Five Years Later..."Where is Mayra?""The Bride has run away!""Where's my daughter Mr. Bhatt?" Bharti yelled at Mr. Bhatt who glanced toward Ved, who in return, just chuckled."Mayra is missing?" Roy asked stepping up on the reception stage where Ved was sitting peacefully with Jay, having a glass of champagne."Yes my child! She is nowhere to be found..." Bharti turned towards Roy anxiously.Roy has been a big part of Mayra's life these five years. He accepted the fact that she is not ready to be his Kiyaa and her happiness resides with Ved. Through this period of time, they all worked together, chilled together, and even fought together.Mayra made sure that Roy stopped every illegal business he had but made sure that he didn't lose his power. Roy helped not only Mayra but Ved and Jay too so that they could grow with her. By giving them the power he promised, he realized that breaking that big wall he made to surround himself was actually a good idea."I will look for her..." Roy
"What do you mean by that?" Mr. Bhatt asked but Roy ignored him totally."Your parents were killed by your neighbor and he was the one who sold you to a prostitute house... Just because he didn't like the way you guys treated me." Roy mumbled in a low voice trying to hide the pain he was feeling, remembering the day.Mayra closed her eyes and tried to remember like a memory her mind was hiding behind played in front of her.*****"Babaaa...." The little girl cried as the goons pierced her father's head with a bullet."Nooooooooo..." Her mother cried but she was not aware of what was happening so she rushed towards the body of her father and wiped the blood dripping out of his forehead with her little frock."Babaa, I will heal you..." The little girl told as the goons laughed.Mercilessly, they pulled the trigger again and killed her mother too as Kiyaa turned to her side to see her mother's body, laying on the ground lifeless."Maaa... Aami asachi..." The girl cried rushing to her mo
"Would they accept me Ved?" Mayra asked sitting in the car beside Ved as she looked out the window.Roy didn't just ask them to come to any place but to Kolkata, his city and this made Ved even more suspicious. He was ready for the worst, taking precautions every step of the way but Mayra was relaxed. She didn't have even a single doubt about Roy's words. If he said that he knew about her family, he would make her meet them for sure. She was just wondering who they would be, what they must be doing in their lives, and will they accept their lost daughter.Another thought came to her mind what if they intentionally threw her out of their lives and didn't want her yet? What would she do then?"Why wouldn't they Mayra?" Ved asked tucking a piece of hair behind her eyes as a smile made its way on his face looking at her smiling."I am scared Ved..." Mayra told and hugged Ved, trying to feel okay. She was having all sought of questions in her mind that she wanted to ask her parents and al
"What the hell is happening here?" Ved roared as mayra came to her senses. She pulled away from Roy and glanced towards Ved who was furiously looking at them from the distance.Mayra then moved her gaze from Ved to Roy and saw tears filling his eyes as he ignored everyone but just stared back at Mayra.Ved's rage was at its peak but he was still holding on for an explanation from Mayra. He knew that Roy had something in his mind for Mayra but looking at her hugging him back, he felt betrayed."Ved...I..." Mayra started but was cut off by Roy."I am here to take you Mayra..." Roy said as Ved's anger surpassed his senses. He marched towards Roy and pushed him away from Mayra. Roy didn't even move his gaze from Mayra but in turn, he pushed him away and stood in front of Mayra again."Mayra, I will help you to find out who you are..." Roy said as Mayra froze. She wanted to know that too but could she really believe in Roy's words? Is this true or he is bluffing like before? But the tears
Ved walked down the stairs and glanced towards the dining to see Bharti and Jay but not Mayra. His heart instantly started pounding when he moved his gaze around but couldn't locate her.'She said she will be waiting...' Ved thought."She will be okay Bharti... We will make sure of it..." Jay mumbled to Bharti who was worrying for her daughter.Mayra looked fine to them but the heart of a mother knew that she was pretending. Although she did a great job acting okay but still Bharti missed the spark in her eyes."Where's Mayra?" Ved asked Jay who gestured towards the entrance. Before Jay could say anything, Ved rushed towards the door to see her but couldn't locate Mayra. He then moved his eyes from the sitting area of the swimming pool to the garden when he saw Roy touching Mayra's chin.Rage started building up in his head as he darted at them furiously.'What are you doing Ved? She needs space!' Ved thought and tried to calm himself but what he saw next angered him even more. Roy t
Ved opened his eyes as the first ray of sunlight fell on his face. He moved his gaze to his hand but there was no trace of Mayra at all."Mayra?" He called but no voice came out of his mouth. He looked around the room to find himself in his own room and hurriedly, he got up and checked around but there was no trace of Mayra. He searched for her things in the cupboard but it was still not there. Even the collage she made for him on his birthday was no longer hanging on the wall. The room looked like she never was here, like she never existed."Mayra..." He yelled but still nothing. It was like he just lost his voice. He then rushed out into his mansion and checked her room to find out that it was just as pale as his room. He was searching for her things from one place to another but it was nowhere near. The cradle he bought for their unborn was also missing along with the traces of any girl in the mansion."Mayraaaaa" He yelled with all he had and this time he could listen to his voice
"How are you feeling?" Jay asked stepping inside Mayra's room. After Mayra went back to her room, Roy walked away without saying a word to anyone and the policemen that came with him took care of everything. Ved was waiting patiently for Mayra to step out but she refused. She wanted to spend some time alone, away from everyone."You all should ask Ved about this. He is the one who lost the most today..." Mayra responded sitting up as Jay sat beside her on the bed."He is fine... You are not..." Jay said."I am fine too..." Mayra replied but Jay chuckled."Seriously Mayra, are we going to play this game now?" Jay asked tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear."How can I be okay Jay? I lost everything..." Mayra responded."You lost nothing Mayra. Everything's still the same..." Jay told but Mayra swayed her head and laid on her back."It looks like it is still the same but it's not. I don't even know how will I face the world when I cannot face myself..." Mayra said as she looked at
"Mayra?" Ved mumbled walking inside her room.He looked around but couldn't find her so he stepped towards the balcony as he knew she would be there like always, clearing her mind.As soon as he entered the balcony, he saw her leaning on the glass boundary with her head held low. He stood there, waiting for her to look up or notice his presence but a few seconds passed by and she didn't even turn her head back up. Mayra was reliving everything she went through in her life. The good, the bad, and the worst. She wanted to know where her steps were wrong, when she burned the lucky page of her life one by one.She wanted to feel it all at once so that it could stop. The pain she was having in her heart could stop. She wanted to accept it and move on, she wanted to smile again but it looked like there was no reason for her to smile.Moving from one phase to another, she just kept looking for something. A memory of who she really was. She tried a lot but she couldn't shake the feeling of
"Roy?" Mayra mumbled as he stepped inside staring at her face.He was back to his normal self. His posture was full of confidence, his hair gelled back into a ponytail, his body slim suit with many layers of chains, and his usual powerful aura.He ignored every eye staring at him but just rushed towards Mayra, not caring about the death stares he was getting."Mayra..." He mumbled as he stood in front of her, ignoring Ved who was holding her hand protectively.Roy hugged Mayra without wasting another second and Mayra let him. She even pulled her hand away from Ved and crossed them at his waist, hugging him tightly. She didn't know why but the feeling of being safe from any harm was still there in his embrace. He was the one who betrayed her and was the reason she almost got killed but still, she felt protected.Ved's veins popped out of his head when he saw their connection. He was raging but he controlled himself for Mayra's sake. She has been through enough already and she might nee
