Annie led the way to the Mansion, which was not that far ahead from where they were now. She suddenly came to a halt as she complained, "I have been walking for over an hour! That Mansion is too far! Don't these damn vampires have any means of transportation?! I can't go on anymore!". Annie finally gave up on walking and then sat down on the ground, not minding all the eyes that were focused on her.
"Em, My Lady, are you alright?". Amelia asked and walked over to help Annie back to her feet again, but Annie gestured her hand up in the air, indicating that Amelia should leave her be. "But my Lady, we have to get out of here immediately". Amelia was nervous as she announced to Annie. She further continued to say, "This isn't a good environment for us to be in. All the vampires staring at us only have bad intentions. Nothing good comes out of those gazes of theirs. They might hurt us". "I'd like to see them try. They can all stare at me all they want, I don't care". "You know what, Amelia? Maybe I will consider you and get up, but that's only if there's another easy way of getting to the Mansion, other than walking". 'Huh? My lady hasn't behaved like this before. What had happened to her and the sudden change in her? I clearly remember that she hasn't ever complained before, even if her legs were injured'. Amelia thought. The Lady Annie she knew had never for once in her lifetime complained about anything. Why then the sudden change in her? Amelia couldn't help but wonder. Meanwhile, from a far distance, they were two guys, Bernard and Arnold, who were both spying on Annie. "I think she'd do and is fit for the job. Don't you think so, Arnold?". Bernard suggested to Arnold, who simply nodded his head in approval. "She'll definitely suit Lord Davis in the meantime. Plus, she's such a beauty to behold. I hate to confirm this, but she's the prettiest vampire I have ever seen. Do you even think she'd be favored by Lord Davis because of her beauty?". Arnold said to Bernard. Bernard sighed deeply. He massaged his temples as he replied to Arnold, his comrade, "I don't know if she'd be favored by Lord Davis, but considering how beautiful she is, I think she might have a chance. But we have to get her to Lord Davis immediately. You know Lord Davis' right-hand maid was greatly injured by him because of her mistake. Now the right-hand maid's spot is empty, and we have to get this young vampire to replace that spot right away, so that she'll attend to Lord Davis". "You're right Bernard. I hope she's good enough for the job because, I can't even sense any energy coming from her". Arnold admitted and added, "In that case, she's a weakling and a low-ranked vampire. Do you think she can handle Lord Davis' power force?". Arnold was concerned as he asked Bernard. "You know we shouldn't really care about such a thing like that. We're not in the position to know about that. Come on, Arnold, we should get done with this already". Bernard concluded. Arnold and Bernard then journeyed towards Annie, who was still sitting comfortably on the ground. All the other vampires who had bad intentions of approaching Annie all backed down immediately after seeing the two high-ranked vampires they shouldn't ever dare to mess with in their entire lifetime. "Oh no!". Amelia saw the two high-ranked vampires approaching her and Annie, so she panicked and forcefully helped Annie to stand up. Amelia totally recognized Arnold and Bernard as the right-hand advisor and left-hand advisor to Lord Davis, the overall unbeaten king of all vampires!. Amelia was also aware that wherever these two particular high-ranked vampires headed to, nothing good came out of it. "Come on, my lady! We're not safe here!". Amelia announced in a whispering voice. She dragged Annie along with her and didn't mind at the moment that her actions were disrespectful. But she had no other choice but to do this, since keeping Annie safe was her top priority. "Hey, Amelia, slow down! Why are you dragging me like this? I recently told you that my legs were already tired!". Annie quarreled with Amelia in a harsh voice, as she wasn't pleased. To Annie's surprise, the crybaby she had imagined Amelia to be, didn't surface now because Amelia kept on running with her and didn't even bother to stop. 'What's this? I actually thought that she'd end up sobbing again since I yelled at her'. Annie thought. "My lady, those two vampires behind us are really dangerous! No one dares to mess with them! Every vampire, including low rank and high rank, avoids those two particular vampires behind us. Plus, those two vampires are the advisor and protector of Lord Davis, the one and only unbeatable vampire King of all time". Amelia explained and didn't stop running with Annie. Annie laughed out loud after listening to everything Amelia explained to her. She said, "This is so hilarious to me, Amelia. So, if there's a King here, does that mean there's also a Queen? What era are we? In the 1800s?". All these explanations didn't make any sense at all to Annie, who was finding everything funny. Although Annie was already certain that she had transmigrated to another world, she was still imagining that maybe, all of these would just turn out to be a long nightmare, and just maybe, she might actually wake up from her sleep someday. "Oh no. This is terrible…. What do they want from us? We didn't do anything wrong to offend Lord Davis". Amelia muttered and stopped running with Annie. Her heart started to beat rapidly after the two high-ranked vampires who were behind them, suddenly appeared and stood in front of them. 'How did they get to us so quickly?!'. Amelia thought and was shivering in fear. ‘Strange. Why is Amelia's heart beating this fast? Why did she even stop running with me?'. Annie wondered before her eyes met with Arnold and Bernard. 'Oh, are these two vampires the reason why Amelia was panicking? These two just look like a nuisance to me though". Annie thought to herself once more as she continued to glare at both Arnold and Bernard.'Hmm. What business do these two vampires have with the real host? Oh I mean, what do they want from me and Amelia?'. Annie thought as she still continued to glare at Bernard and Arnold. "What a brave and loyal servant to the real host". Annie muttered to herself the moment she saw the way Amelia was shielding her from both the vampires in front of them. 'But wait a damn minute here…. Who knew vampires could be this freaking hot!?'. Annie furrowed her eyebrows upon her thought. She couldn't believe that people with such a handsome face ever existed in this strange world. "Plea-Please, sta- stay away from My Lady. She didn't do anything wrong. Yo- you can take me and leave her alone". Amelia pleaded with Bernard and Arnold, but they scoffed at her in disgust after hearing what she said. Bernard gestured his hand and gave Arnold a sign, and immediately, Arnold used his power force to roughly toss Amelia aside. The force was so strong and powerful that Amelia wasn't able to get up
"What kind of force did that vampire unleash on Amelia? Was it that brutal that it caused her to be unconscious up to now? Ugh! This made my day even worse!". Annie said and was a little furious. Just a while ago, before she met those two vampires, she announced to Amelia about how tired she was. And now look, her whole situation got doubled!. How was she going to reach that damn mansion in time with her carrying Amelia? "Seriously, don't these vampires have any means of transportation here? But wait, since I'm one of the strongest vampires around here now, am I not supposed to have any special skills or something?". "How would I even know that, I only started being a vampire today!". Annie complained even more until her eyes met with some strange-looking creatures that were kept in a large old-looking field shop. Annie halted. "Huh?. What are those things? You have got to be kidding me. Those creatures all look like the pets vampires own in movies. I never thought I'd get to se
"Lady Annie, please stay back. Don't make us hurt you!". The guards threatened Annie and all gathered in front of her to stop her. They shield the last stop of the mansion with all their weapons and power forces. Seeing this, Annie raised an eyebrow and scoffed. "So you guys put in all these efforts just to stop me? How hilarious". Annie said as she yawned. In fact, she was actually so tired of all this nonsense that it caused her anger to be doubled. 'These idiots. They can do all this nonsense to the real host, but now, this is me. And I won't sit back and watch myself being treated like a nobody!'. Annie thought and furrowed her eyebrows even more. Even her face darkened as she declared fiercely, "You all asked for these then, not me!". After saying this, Annie stared at Amelia who she was still carrying on her shoulder, 'Her weight shouldn't be a problem for me. I can carry her for a few more minutes. But as for these vampires, I'll deal with them so much that they'd wish they h
"Mother, did you see what happened now?". To be sure that what she witnessed herself was real, Aria asked Mila, who was fuming with anger. "Of course I saw it!". Mila roared out and couldn't hold in the anger that was boiling inside of her. How in the world did that useless vampire girl do this to her and her precious daughter? Did she encounter some kind of dark magic in her way when she got chased out of the mansion? And how did she suddenly become more beautiful than her own daughter, Aria? Mila's thoughts only made her even more than angry!. "This bitch asked for this herself!. This time around, I'll make sure to do more than chase her out of this mansion!". Mila said and smirked when she came to the sudden realization that her husband didn't like Annie at all, even though she was his daughter. He only favored Aria and Gael. 'That bitch should wait for it. In no time today, she'd be thrown out of this mansion. After that, I'll then make sure to eliminate her permanently from thi
Annie's bedroom, When Annie arrived inside her room, she carefully placed Amelia on her bed as she patiently waited for her to wait up. "She's still unconscious?. Honestly, how powerful was that vampire guy?". Annie muttered and was now battling about what to do with Amelia. Annie was still new to being a vampire, so she didn't exactly know what she was expected to do now. "Wait. That's it!. These vampires must have some kind of incantations to heal the wounded. Damn it. Even though there was an incantation that I could use, how would I do it? I arrived in this world today. Everything that is happening in this world is kinda making me want to change my mind. Could it mean I want to return to my own world?". Annie questioned herself. PS, even though Annie was fearless, she was wary of this new world she was in. "Arghhh!". Annie hissed and groaned as the memories of last night— when she was still in her own world, suddenly played right inside of her head— 'What I'd give to stop
"It's okay Amelia. I get what you mean". Annie patted Amelia's back as she said. Annie didn't know the reason why, but her face darkened with hatred as her eyes saw all the scars that were on Amelia's body. She hated the ones who did this to Amelia. With the help of the real host's memory, Annie clearly remembered how Amelia got those scars. She remembered how Amelia used her body to shield the real host— when she was being attacked by none other than Aria, Gael and Mila, including her father and others too. 'What kind of person was the real host? To the extent that she got bullied by others, and it caused her death!. If this were me, I'd never have let anyone dare to bully me!'. Annie thought and hissed afterward. Finally, Amelia stopped sobbing as she released the hug. Although Amelia knew that her actions were bold, she hoped that Annie didn't mind the way she had hugged her because— it was improper for a servant like her to hug her Master. Staring straight at Amelia's ey
"Why are you staring at me like that?". Annie asked as she noticed the way Amelia was staring at her absent-mindedly. Amelia was in a serious thinking mood because of what Annie previously said to her, but she suddenly snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Annie's voice speak to her again. "Em, My Lady, are you perhaps hurt somewhere?". Amelia suddenly asked Annie this question because she was certain that there was no possible way– that Annie could just have escaped from Bernard and Arnold. "Huh?. What's wrong with you, Amelia? How can I be hurt?". Annie asked Amelia, who was dumbstruck. "I'm sorry, My Lady. It's just that, I couldn't believe you were able to escape those two vampires". Amelia admitted before she added, "Are you angry at me, my Lady?". "Of course I'm not mad at you, but I will be if you don't keep your mouth shut". Annie announced to Amelia. Amelia talks way too much that it was already affecting Annie in the head. "Sure, My Lady…. Anything you say". A
Annie later focused her attention on Ethan and Mila. "Father, are you scared of your beloved daughter? What about you, Mother? Oh, I just remembered... You're not my Mother". Annie's voice showed how mocking she was being at Ethan and Mila. "Don't you dare talk to my Mother in that rude way, Annie!". Aria gathered her courage as she announced. After all, to Aria, wasn't this still the same Annie she used to torture and bully? "I like this sudden courage in you, Aria". Annie's expression darkened after she said this. She further continued to speak, "I wonder what would happen to you if I took that courage away from you". "Enough of all this!". Ethan has had enough of Annie. "Alright.... You can all go away now, since that's enough". Annie announced to Ethan. "You!!". Lord Ethan yelled out at Annie, angrily. Mila saw that Annie was distracted, so she decided to use this rare opportunity that she had, immediately!. With full force, Mila drained the whole energy inside of her and u
There was an angry expression on Ethan's face as he made his way to the dark river mansion. He personally wanted to report Annie. He wasn't in his golden carriage and was running on foot. He didn't care about using his golden carriage because he was much faster when running on foot. Besides, all he cared about was to arrive at the dark river mansion and report Annie to the vampire King, Davis, so that Annie would be dealt with, since she was a thorn in his flesh. It took him barely five minutes, and he arrived outside the dark river mansion. The guards stationed outside the mansion’s large gates recognised Ethan, so they allowed him entry into the mansion. Once inside the dark river mansion, Ethan halted and composed himself. He arranged his disheveled black hair and dusted his clothes, while making sure that he looked decent in the eyes, for he could never present himself before Lord Davis looking untidy. Doing so would annoy Lord Davis, who loved to wear gloves and hated untidy
With only 18 minutes left, Morris prepared the potion as fast as he could. A faint smile appeared on his pale face as he stared at the potion which he was holding in his hands.Exactly when Morris the healer was about to feed the potion to Mila, who was unconscious, Ethan snatched the potion from his hand, and there was also a darkened expression on Ethan's face. “You can leave now, healer. I'll feed the potion to my wife by myself”. Ethan declared. “But-”. Morris immediately stopped talking because of the way Ethan was glaring at him. He bowed his head at Ethan and said, “I’ll take my leave now”. After Morris left Mila's room, Ethan went and sat down on the bed next to Mila. He fed her the potion, and even though she was currently unconscious, she drank it all. Ethan kept the cup aside and was deep in thought, as a result of what happened a few minutes ago. {Earlier}Annie halted and turned to Ethan. She had a proud smile on her face as she said to him, “I'll say this once, E
Morris was feeling anxious, but he had to compose himself so that they would stop staring at him with suspicious eyes. He said calmly, “Lord Ethan, I am simply worried about Madam Mila because time is running out. Nothing else”. Ethan sighed deeply. He gritted his teeth and frowned, as he quarrelled with Morris, “I know that time is running out, healer! But other than confronting Annie and dealing with her for causing harm to my wife, what do you want me to do?!”.“I-”. Morris didn't know what to say to Ethan. He could only grit his teeth in secret, as he began to harbor an unquenchable resentment towards Annie. “Did I hear someone mention my name? Or was I hallucinating?”. Everyone had to focus their attention on Annie, who spoke. Standing beside Annie was Amelia. It was now that they had both returned to the mansion from the forest. Their whole bodies were dirty. They had to return home in a hurry because Annie couldn't wait to take a bath. “There you are. You wretched daughter
As Annie and Amelia arrived in the forest, they began to search for wild berries, which was apparently the last ingredient they needed. It didn't take them more than an hour, and they found many wild berry trees. Annie couldn't wait for Amelia, because Amelia was slower than she at plucking the wild berries. So, she climbed one of the wild berry trees, and plucked as many wild berries as she could. But come to think of it, wasn't Amelia's slowness due to her external injuries? “My lady, the wild berries are enough. It's plenty, and they cannot all be used for the potion”. Hearing what Amelia said to her, caused Annie to go down from the tree without hesitation. She couldn't wait to return to the manor, because she wanted a quick bath. Her body was very sweaty and dirty! And she hated that so much. “Gather all the wild berries, Amelia. We're leaving after that”.“I'm on it, my lady”. Amelia replied and giggled, before she went to do as she had been ordered. Lord Ethan's manor,Th
“Ouch! That hurts!”. Annie exclaimed and was massaging her forehead that had hit the forehead of the other person. The guy who Annie had crashed into was also massaging his forehead. He hissed and frowned because he felt a sharp pain in his head. His hand was on his forehead while he said to Annie, “Didn't you see me before you crashed into me, young lady? Is there something wrong with your eyes? I'm now injured, and it's all thanks to you alone”. Annie marvelled after being blamed by the guy who was about her age. She positioned both her hands on her waist and was staring at him in disbelief. “Why are you blaming me? What about you? What happened to your eyes? Didn't you see me? Why did you crash into me? Now because of you, my forehead hurts like crazy!”. “You!”. The handsome guy pointed a finger at Annie. Being scolded by the guy prompted Annie to confidently raise her chin, before she replied to him, “Yes, me what?!”. Amelia was helplessly watching the two, who were busy arg
On their way to the mountains, Amelia was feeling extremely bothered. She badly wanted to ask Annie, who was in front of her, a question. Annie was a strong vampire, and because of this, she was able to read Amelia’s inner emotions. Without bothering to look at Amelia, she asked her, “What is it, Amelia? Why are you troubling yourself?”.Amelia was surprised because of Annie's question. ‘How did lady Annie know I was troubled?’. She mused. She didn't want to keep Annie waiting, causing her to reply, “My lady, I don't understand. Why did you make those suggestions to the advisors of Lord Davis? They are dangerous. So, why would you allow someone dangerous to stay with us in the manor?”. A sudden smile appeared on Annie's face after listening to Amelia's curious questions. She understood what was in Amelia's mind, and equally understood her fears. “Amelia, let me ask you a question”. Annie said to her. She stopped walking and turned to face Amelia, who was behind her, before she aske
Annie spent many minutes reading the 'spell book', and wow, she loved it. Like, everything written in the book was just so unreal to her. After many minutes had passed, Annie made a decision to go up into the mountains and find ingredients for the external healing potion. “Amelia, I've told you for the last time, you're not going to follow me to the mountains. You're still hurt. Just stay here, and my strong barrier will keep you safe”. Annie furrowed her eyebrows after she had said. Amelia was being so stubborn. “Bu- but my Lady, I won't feel okay with you going up to the mountains. Please, just let me follow you”. Amelia pleaded and wasn't ready to back down no matter what. “Remember, before your Mom left this world, I promised her that I'd look after you and protect you”. Amelia added. Annie stared at Amelia from head to toe before she thought to herself, ‘You, protect me? Look at this little girl’. After thinking, Annie said to Amelia, “I'm older than you, so I'm the one who'
Annie went outside her manor. She was about to remove the barrier she had set– when, suddenly, she noticed both Arnold and Bernard's presence. “Gosh, won't these two give up and leave me alone?”. Annie muttered in annoyance, as she was already tired of those two vampires. Annie knew that if she removed the barrier she had set, then both Arnold and Bernard would come inside her manor for sure. And at the same time, she was hungry and must pass through the barrier to get to the food storage. “What am I going to do? I don't have enough strength to fight anyone again”. Annie muttered once more. She wanted to give up and return inside, but thinking about how she'd sleep with an empty stomach– caused her stomach to growl even more hungry than before. After sighing deeply, Annie began thinking, ‘If I used this front entrance, they'd surely know that the barrier had been removed. But, if I jump through the side wall, they won't know’. After thinking, Annie nodded her head. Before Anni
A minute later, Annie left with Amelia. That was when Bernard and Arnold struggled, and finally – they rose up. Ethan got up too and immediately ran to Mila's side. He carried her and was breathing heavily since her health wasn't stable. To be fair, this should be the second to third time today– that Mila was being brutally hit– by Annie. “Aria, don't be a weakling and get up! Go get a healer for your mother, immediately! After that, find your big brother and have him return home!”. Ethan ordered before he hurriedly left with his wife, who he was carrying in his arms. After hearing her father's words, Aria groaned in pain and stood up. She didn't waste time and ran to do what her father had ordered her to do. Bernard and Arnold saw the road which Annie had followed, so they also passed through there. Their hands were placed on their injured chests as they walked side by side. It wasn't long, and for the first time ever, they arrived at Annie's own manor, which was also connec
