Chapter 74

She did not waste a second staring at his face and he was too dumbstruck to say anything. He watched her leave and wondered what changed about her. He felt hurt at her choice of words and even he couldn't deny that in the course of his deceiving her, he grew feelings for her no matter how small.

He wished that time had better timing for both of them, things would have surely taken another turn.

Aurora returned to what used to be her office and stared at it for a minute after closing the door behind her. After dropping out from school, this became where she could hide her pain. A place where she would run to whenever the frustration became too much.

Her eyes fell on the desk and then to the couch. The spots where Matteo and her made up countless times. Despite being deceived by him she agreed that the relationship was a rollercoaster of sizzling romance and hot passion. He just couldn't stand up for her when her father gave her off.
