72. No Idea

He immediately rushed to the counter and pushed the button underneath.

“You called, sir?” his butler appeared in the hallway seconds later.

“Jon, we have a problem,” James said, nodding toward the corpse.

Jon stepped into the sitting room, and took one glance at the corpse.

“We were drinking, and things got rough, and I-”

“You don’t have to explain anything, sir. What should I do?”

James heaved a sigh in relief.

“Get rid of it. I don’t want any traces left.”

Jon nodded.

“What do you plan to do now?”

James stepped back, and poured himself a drink.

After a long drag, he smacked his lips and nodded.

“I’m gonna fly to Paris, and convince Sofia to come with me. If I don’t return, keep the house in order, I’ll call you once I find somewhere safe to base with her, and the boy.”

“Good luck, sir.”

“You more, Jon,” he replied.

“Thank you.”

“Don’t mention it, sir,” Jon replied.

“Go pack your things, I’ll clean up.”

James sniffed, and nodded, then left the room.
