78. Discharged

Stephanie unceremoniously led Tye back into the room. Sofia had filled him in on the matter up to the point of the DNA test prior to that.

“Does she have to be here?” Stephanie asked, nodding at Sofia.

“Of course,” Ryan replied, matter-of-factly.

“Now, I know your Tye’s mom, but we’d still test to know that I’m truly the dad.”

“Ryan, you know you were my first, and only love,” I might add. I didn’t keep running between you, and someone else like some of us.”

Sofia rolled her eyes at the woman.

“So,” Steph continued.

“After the test confirms what I’m already sure of, why don’t we three move on as the little family we are?”

By the time she was done talking, she was standing on the other side of the bed from Sofia.

“What family? Oh please, don’t give me that. And don’t try to play any games too, there’s nothing between us.

Something flashed across Stephanie’s face but then she smiled quickly,

“As you wish, my love,” she said.
