Chapter 134 – Astar Levi, you sure have guts!

When the eldest Cordia sibling heard that her soon-to-be husband was a slag who dared cheat on her with someone else, blood rushed to her head, and without further thought, she took the first maglev train to the Astars’ mountain resort.

She had been in such a hurry that she didn’t even remember to switch to more appropriate wear, coming to a snow-covered mountain in high heels!

Throughout the entire train ride, she kept calling her fiancé, but not a single call went through! That son-of-a-bitch must have added her number to his blacklist!!

Only upon exiting the train did this enraged Healer realize she had no idea where exactly to find her slag of a man. Sure, he was here somewhere, but where exactly? She couldn’t search the whole bloody mountain!

Luckily, that’s when she saw a group of reporters exit the same train as her.

Great! These bloodhounds surely knew where her slag of a fiancé was!

And thus, this cunning Healer put on her sunglasses, pulled down her beanie cap, and confidently followed the herd of paparazzi along, all the way to the rooftop of the west skyscraper.

Arduously, she pushed her way through the crowd to get to the place everyone was swarming towards.

Only to realize…

Fuck! She was on the rooftop of the wrong building!!

The darn bachelor party was all the way across!

Everyone had just been swarming around the ledge so they could get a better shot of the party on the other rooftop!!!

The enraged eldest Cordia stomped her feet and gripped the ledge with the same snapping grip she wished to use on Levi’s neck.

Just as she was preparing to turn around and once again push her way through the crowd, she saw her slag man exiting the condo on the other rooftop. The nerve of him! He was even smiling happily!

Astar Levi! Smiling!! Happily!!!

Did the sun rise from the west today?!

And he was even intimately leading… ‘Don’t tell me he dared bring his mistress to the bachelor party?!?’

Oh, wait, false alarm.

‘Just my little brother. Whoopsie. Sorry bro, almost mislabeled you as a homewrecker!’

The eldest Cordia sheepishly turned around to leave. Just in time to catch a sharp glint in the hand of a reporter next to her, followed by a loud shot exploding from right next to her.

The crowd abruptly panicked. What sounded like a gunshot came from their midst! Some of them started rushing towards the exit of the rooftop like a herd of wild beasts. Others dropped to the ground covering their heads.

But the wide-eyed Cordia only stared dazedly, following with her eyes the paparazzi next to her, until her buzzing ears and muddled brain recovered from the shock.

That paparazzi! Their hand was now clearly empty!

Could this be…?!? The Shooter!

She had been standing right next to an assassin!

Her heart nearly jumped out of her chest as adrenaline sped through her veins.

Ah, ah! She couldn’t let the perpetrator slip away!

In fear of losing sight of the terrorist among the crowd, she didn’t even dare look towards the other rooftop to check whether her little brother was alright.

She kept telling herself that all of this had been a ploy her little brother had set up, so he must have been prepared. He’d surely be alright!

Security guards rushed the scene, but they were looking left and right, not knowing what was happening and whom to blame. The tide of the crowd was overwhelming, and they were reluctant to use force against civilians. They attempted to get the situation under control, but they weren’t prepared for handling a mob and couldn’t stop the reporters from pushing through.

The eldest Cordia did her best to follow behind the terrorist, but the Shooter was slippery and clearly much better at escaping than her! She tried to draw the attention of the security guards, but her voice was completely drowned out by the screams around her.

‘Fuck it all!’ The indignant woman puffed up and changed direction towards higher ground, not once letting her eyes off that sandy-colored head of the terrorist.

The other had just reached the exit and was about to slip out!!

Blood rushed into the head of this already angry Healer. This person dared to snipe her baby brother multiple times!! And they would end up slipping away just like this?!

Dream on!!

The eldest Cordia sibling bent down to take off her high heels.

And then, very heroically, she flung a stiletto straight at the back of Swiftrain’s head with the fierceness of a meteor and an accuracy of sharpshooting champion!

“You think you are the only one who can shoot?!? Huh?! Who needs a shooting superpower to shoot!”

‘Take that! You think all my years of pillow throwing were in vain, huh?!’

Over on the other side, the bullet had been stopped by an invisible military-grade forcefield set up around the patio, prepared just for this moment. Swiftrain could detect Shielder shields due to mental power fluctuations, but the military-grade tech like this wasn’t mental-power-based and couldn’t be detected that easily.

Yet, although their target had taken the bait and everything had been caught on camera clearly…

On the patio, Levi’s expression turned ugly, and he accidentally ended up crushing the railing he had been gripping. Noah’s eyes popped out, and his mouth dropped open, “Is that… sis?!?”

“Fucking idiot!!!” Levi erupted in outrage.

They had worked so hard to set up this plan, yet just as their hard work was about to bear fruit, this buffoon stumbled in, just in time to mess it up!!!

Bloody hell!

This entire operation was set up so they could identify Swiftrain, but they had no intention of arresting him! They had intended to make it look like he had escaped successfully, while they would follow his movements in secret until he led them to the rest of the terrorists!

What was the use of catching one hired hitman?! The terrorists could just hire another!!!

Yet this fucking pig-teammate knocked out their target!!! Now even if they wanted to let him go, they couldn’t! After the word of this spread, the terrorists would be brain damaged to contact Swiftrain again!!!

‘And you! Swiftrain! Aren’t you a top-tier assassin?!? How could you be felled by a fucking Healer wielding a shoe?!? Where is your professional pride as a hitman?! Can you not crush people’s expectations like this?!’

Levi felt so furious he didn’t know whether he should strangle that failure of a hitman or his failure of an ex-fiancée!

Just look! Look at the difference! Both her and his baby were Cordias! Both had the same blood running through their veins! Yet one was a little genius that brought them this far, and the other set them weeks behind in the investigation the moment she appeared!!!

All that planning, all that effort!! And most unforgivably, his baby’s hard work!! Wasted!!

The hotel manager was a sensitive man who could read the mood; thus, he quickly signaled all his staff (including the strippers) to withdraw. They didn’t even take the time to clear the area of leftover food, drinks, and equipment.

The bodyguards exchanged a look, and unanimously agreed on their next course of action – they valiantly slipped away, pulling the reluctant Trey along with them.

And just like that, the bachelor party came to an abrupt and premature end.

The only ones remaining in the foyer of the large suite were Levi, Noah, and a certain Healer who had just been escorted over from the other skyscraper.
