Chapter 377

Madison's expression remained as impassive as before as she walked past Chance, heading straight for the water cooler with a kettle in hand.

Chance watched as her slender figure disappeared around the corner of the corridor. He returned to the ward, sat beside Fred's bed, and started checking the dosages on each medicine bottle.

"Madison has already checked them," Fred said.

Chance's arm stiffened. He looked up and said, "Grandpa, you're awake!"

Fred responded, "I've been awake for some time now. It seems like all of you prefer your mistresses over your wives at home. None of you seem to cherish what you have!" He sighed, feeling as if he'd failed his grandchildren.

Chance didn't respond. Instead, he said, "It's time for your medicine. Let me help you." He got up and went to the end of the bed. After raising the headboard, he poured a glass of water and helped Fred take his medication.

After taking his medication, Fred asked, "Where's Quentin?"
