Ava got into a cab and left. Martin followed the cab until it turned into a neighborhood on the west side of the city. He drove in after it. Ava got out of the cab in front of an apartment building and hurried inside with her bag.

Filled with doubts, Martin glanced up at the building, got out of the car, and decided to ask a janitor who was working there. "Sir, have you seen the woman who just walked in?"
