"What was that?" Elena asked, shooting repeated glances at the men. Her mate was beside her, but it could be assumed that she didn't direct the question to just him, but everyone who was in their company, irrespective of the fact that Garfield was the person closer to her.

They returned glances at her almost immediately and Garfield drew her closer until she was less than an inch away from him. "What do you mean, Elena? What's what?"

"I mean the old man. He said something about saying something to you guys, who is he and what has he told you?" She bemoaned and gripped Garfield's clothes. "Oh, yeah I remember! He also addressed me as his sister. What the fvck is going on? Why has everyone gone silent all of a sudden?"
