Methis POV

He had just disappeared. Turned cold and left me here, alone. I wanted to ask where he was, where he had gone, but

Despite the tension between us, I had found solace in the friendship of the wolf children in the palace. I would secretly bring them the best pastries from the palace, forming a bond with these supernatural beings. Through them, I discovered a whole new world filled with werewolves, dragons, and witches.

The young wolves eagerly shared their knowledge with me, revealing that there were different types of witches - white, black, and red. White witches were allies of the wolf clan, while black witches were responsible for the death of my parents fifteen years ago. It was a painful reminder of the darkness that lurked within the supernatural realm.

“Are you afraid of us?” one of the wolf children had asked her curiously, as they sat around a fire in the woods.

I had shaken my head, smiling warmly at them. “No,” she had said. “Why would I be?”

Jamal Kunis POVI felt a surge of anger and frustration as I walked up to the door of the witch's house and knocked. Don't get me wrong, I had nothing against her in particular. She was the only one who had any solution to this problem.I just hated coming here, hated asking for help from anyone. And especially, hated coming here because it reminded me of how powerless I was. But I had no choice. I was desperate to break the curse that had plagued me since that incident. The door opened and the witch greeted me with a smile. She was a petite woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a white robe. She looked harmless, but I knew better. She had power, power that could help me or harm me.“Hello, Jamal." She smiled calmly, a scent of herbs and leaves surrounding her, "Long time no see."I shrugged, "What can I say? I have been very busy.""Come in, come in.” She said, stepping aside to let me enter.I followed her into the living room, where a fire was crackling in the fireplace.

MethisPOVI couldn't help thinking about Jamal, even when he was gone. I had never met him in person, before I signed the contract, which made my initial impression of him even more pronounced He was handsome, I had to admit, with bronze skin, piercing eyes, and a strong jaw. But he also looked cold and ruthless, like someone who would stop at nothing to get what he wanted. And what he wanted was me, or rather, my womb. And yet I couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. I was drawn to him, very strongly. I wondered if he had a mate, or if he ever loved anyone. Did he have any friends or family? Did he have any hobbies, or interests? Did he ever smile, or laugh? Did he ever feel anything at all?I shook my head, trying to banish these thoughts from my mind. It didn’t matter who he was, or what he felt. He was the Alpha, and I was his surrogate. That was all there was to it.I heard a knock on the door, and looked up to see Beta enter. He smiled at me as he walked in, holding a bouquet

Methis Delis POVI heard him well enough, but I could only groan as another pain shot up through my back.I felt a shock run through me. Pain? How could that be? I had been careful to take the pills that Beta gave me every day to prevent the pain."It's... painful." I groaned deliriously.Beta looked at me with surprise and concern. He said, “Methis, how did this happen? Did you forget to take the pills?”I shook my head and said, “No, Beta. I took them every day. I swear.”The doctor frowned and said, “That’s strange. The pills are very effective. There must be some other reason for this.”He took out a device and scanned my belly. He said, “Well, as you know. This is not a normal pregnancy. This is a special pregnancy.”"Because of the surrogacy?""Because of the bloodline Methis." The doctor said, giving me a funny look. I understood, I was supposed to know this already, understand it. I was the one carrying the child, wasn't I?He showed me the screen of the device and pointed at a

Jamal Kunis POV Returning to my room, I saw her lying on the bed, reading a book. She looked up when she heard me enter, and smiled softly. She had gained some weight since she became pregnant, and it suited her well. Her cheeks were fuller, her curves were rounder, her skin was glowing. She looked even cuter than before.I wanted to hug her, pinch her cheeks, and kiss her lips. I wanted to tell her how much I cared about her, how much I wanted her.But I didn’t.I walked over to her and said in a calm voice, “Methis.”She put down the book and said in a polite voice, “Jamal.”She got up from the bed and served me as she always did. She brought me some water, some food, some clothes. She acted like a servant, not a mate.I hated that too.I took her in my arms and kissed her hard. She kissed me back, but without passion. She moved her lips mechanically, without emotion. She acted like a tool, not a lover.I hated that most of all.I moved my hand over her belly and said in a gentle vo

Jamal Kunis POVI felt a surge of happiness as I heard the cheers and congratulations from the wolves around me. Methis had just announced her pregnancy to the clan, and everyone seemed overjoyed by the news. I looked at her, holding her hand and smiling proudly. I leaned down and kissed her softly on the forehead.“You did it, my love. You gave us a ray of hope.” I whispered in her ear.She smiled back at me, feeling my warmth and love. She knew how much this meant to me, and to the clan. I had lost three brides before her, all of them killed by the black witch who wanted to destroy the wolf clan. The clan had been in turmoil ever since, and some werewolves began to suspect that I was cursed. I was worried that this secret might be discovered, causing panic and chaos in the clan, so I deliberately suppressed the news of the curse.“Jamal, I’m so happy for you.” A familiar voice said behind me. I turned around and saw Remy, my best friend and beta. He hugged me tightly and patted my ba

Methis POV“Flower arranging is an art form that expresses your emotions and personality.” She explained as she handed me a pair of scissors.“Really? How so?” I asked curiously.“Well, for example, roses symbolize love and passion, lilies symbolize purity and innocence, sunflowers symbolize happiness and optimism, and so on.” She said.“I see. And what about these?” I asked, pointing at some purple flowers that looked like bells.“Those are lavender. They symbolize calmness and tranquillity.” She said.“I like them. They’re pretty.” I said.“Me too. They’re my favorite.” She said with a smile. We continued to chat as we arranged the flowers in a vase. She was very friendly and helpful, and I enjoyed her company. We were almost done when a beautiful and noble-looking stranger appeared in the garden. She had long blonde hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. She wore a white dress that hugged her curves and accentuated her breasts. She looked at us with disdain and walked towards us.“Who are

Methis Delis POV"What happened, Methis?" He asked after I stopped carrying."Nothing happened, Jamal" I answered, not in the mood to talk about the incident as it will probably bring back the tears."Did anyone bully you?" His voice was rising up a notch. It sounded dangerous. I didn't want to see him angry, even if it wasn't at me. I shook my head, "No" "Then who was it that made you cry?""No one bullied me, Jamal. You made sure of that.""Alright, darling." We stayed that way in silence for a while. Before he said,"Come, I will see you to bed." He gently helped me up and carried me in his arms, as if I weighed nothing.Jamal Kunis POV"She looked so fragile and beautiful in my arms," I thought to myself as I carried her to the room. She curled up like a baby immediately after I laid her on the bed. I traced the outlines of her face with my fingers. She was s so beautiful and she reminded me so much of my former lover, now turned enemy."You're so special to me, you know?" I said

Laura POVI paced angrily in the confines of the house, resentment coursing through my veins like an angry flame. How could Jamal banish me like this? Her untimely death, occurring on their wedding night, filled me with a flicker of hope. Then came the other wives—two more who married Jamal and met the same tragic fate. I was convinced that the Moon Goddess was favoring me, granting me a chance to be with the man I longed for. But that damned human, Methis, ruined everything. This time, I wouldn't stay silent. This time, I would fight for what I believed was rightfully mine: my position by Jamal's side, as his true Luna. And now this? This wasn't going to stop me. Maybe he was mad, maybe he was crazy, maybe he was just being performative in front of the servants, to make them think it was the new deal, e

Jamal POVI returned to the shore to see the woman sitting and examining the beast. She gave me a puzzled look.“Where did you come from?” she asked.“My pet wolf ran to me alerting me of danger,” I casually said.“Well, aren’t you a bad master leaving your pet wolf to deal with this thing alone?”“That thing knocked me unconscious that’s why I could not help him,” I lied.“Alright let’s go then. Where is your pet wolf?”“I just buried it.”“Poor thing.” She gave a little sob.We walked back to the boat and made our way back to the city.“What is that thing?” I asked.“I’m supposed to be asking you. Jamal POVI could not believe I was about to do this now. I was about to wrestle this large snake. I could feel my hands sweat as I made my way to the edge of the island. I stopped just beyond the water and took a deep look into the water. From here, I could see its massive outline looming deep beneath the blue, casting a dark shadow in the sea. If that thing truly did swallow the key, then it must have digested already. Either way, today was the day I made my biggest hunting kill. The only problem is unlike other animals I have hunted, this one seemed to have some sense of reasoning. So maybe I could use that against him. I usually did not like to strike first in a fight so maybe I could make this snake strike first. I’d egg him on.“HEY!” I shouted from the edge of the island. “I am ready! Let’s go! Let’s fight!”The beast circled around the water, creating little waves that emerged on the top of the ocean and splashed on the island. I was beginning to question the sanity behind thi

Xander POVI had been chatty at work for some time now. I talked often, perhaps more often than I realized because I was getting more compliments like "What made you start talking so often?" or subtler ones such as "You look to be in a good mood recently." One time, a young lady working with us asked me what had happened during the time I had first begun working here till this moment. They all thought I had received good news that carried me for a long time but in reality, I was the saddest I had ever been in my entire life. I had not realized I talked more often until all the compliments came pouring in. But somehow it all made sense.I was talking more often so I distracted myself from the pain I was feeling. My subconscious mind was trying desperately to find a new connection to forget the broken one o had with Methis. In the past few weeks, I had experienced pain that hit harder than hammer, pain that cut deeper than sword. It was more than a heartbreak. A heartbreak was not the k

Irrespective of my feelings, life had to go on right? The first few classes were boring as hell, and I was extremely uninterested, which made the ring of the bell for lunch break a very welcome development.I walked into the cafeteria and almost immediately, my eyes fell on her. Jamal’s POVI woke up, already feeling exhausted and drained, I allowed my body to revert to its human form as the involuntary transformation subsided. I lay there for a moment, the gritty sand beneath me a stark reminder of the ordeal I had just faced. The sun dipped low on the horizon, casting a warm glow across the island. As evening descended, I woke from a restless slumber. My surroundings were eerily quiet, except for the distant murmur of the ocean. Pushing myself up, I took stock of his situation. The city lights shimmered in the distance, a connection to my realm that seemed both distant and unattainable. My exploration of the island unfolded like a surreal odyssey. The air was thick with the scent of salt and untamed nature as I ventured into the heart of the unknown. The landscape revealed itself in layers — dense clusters of foliage, rugged terrain, and mysterious, hidden corners. The island's interior held a complex tapestry of life. Vibrant flowers bloomed in patches, th
